This is probably the most test jerking story you've had on here in a while. Her strength and persistence to get justice for her daughters is incredible ❤ determination like that doesn't come around very often and as heartbreaking as her daughters stories are, she could save countless others in the future. Light, love and prayers out to her and her journey to take those men down. She's stronger than I ever could be.

Seeing her protest for her daughters all by herself in the street brought me to tears. She is such a strong women and an even better mother. Thinking about her devotion still makes me cry. I hope she gets the peace she deserves. Please keep us informed on any updates!
To Mrs.Yang I'm disgusted to have learned of the cruelty, violence, and sadistic misogyny that your daughters suffered at the hands of those monsters ( as they lack the deceny to be considered humans). You did nothing wrong and everything you could have done as a mother. The South Korean broadcasting industry failed you. The South Korean justice system failed you. The political instituions of South Korea failed you. A misogynistic society failed you . Imagine going to report a sexual assault. That alone takes a lot of bravery just for these e “cops” to make her feel like she’s making sh*t up. Allowing her to relive it just to demonstrate everything is cruel. The police failed to their job and made mockery of her pain . Can’t imagine how she felt psychologically and having to live with it everyday. As a mother having to lose two daughters I just can’t imagine how shes holding on.
After listening to this case, I’m so scared walking around because there’s no guarantee 😭 I’m so traumatized how people can ignore fragile beings, I can’t imagine how much the unnie went through, her family as well, so heartbreaking 💔
I reported a rape and the detective turned it around on me and started investigating me for prostitution. I've never even been a prostitute. But the guy who raped me told him that I was one so that was that. Even though this guy had a criminal history of SA. I didn't even know the guy, he was a stranger to me and when the cop was trying to identify who it was, I gave him a vague description of what he looked like from my memory and he came back with different mugshots from me to pick from. So my point is that this guy was well known enough to the police that they were able pick him (among a few others) based on my description and his horrible criminal history, but they still chose to believe him over me that I was a prostitute and let him off. The detective even showed up at my sister's house multiple times to ask her if she was absolutely sure that I'm not a prostitute. So anyway, this kind of bs is actually pretty common. I've shared this story- and another similar story- before and had others share similar situations. It's appalling.

The treatment of Mrs Yang and Sora by the police and how the whole investigation was conducted is disgusting and ridiculous. My heart goes out to her. She did not do anything wrong and should not feel guilty. Mrs Yang, you have been so brave and strong and I am so sorry for your loss. I really hope there weren't more victims and that one day karma will get back to all of those who wronged this family.
This story really moved me. When I was assaulted at 15, I was too scared to tell my mother out of fear and shame. I eventually told my parents about it 5 years later, and all I got told was, "That's sad that you didn't trust me to tell me this. You are so sad. I better not find out your lying," by mom followed by a, "you make it really hard for me to be your father," by my dad. I am now 24 years old and I work protecting and advocating for children who are victims of sexual abuse. I see parents blame their children for what happened to them EVERYDAY. The devotion and dedication Mrs. Yang has for her daughters is what I wish to see from more parents. I hope she knows that so many people are behind her on this, and even though a lot of us will never fully understand what she's going through, I hope she also knows that there are so many people around the world that support her.
your story brought tears to my eyes because it's really similar to mine. my parents got into my social media and thought I was lying for sympathy. they refused to see that i trusted a complete stranger to support me rather than them. I'm so proud you were able to turned this experience into hope for future survivors.
I was 14, and my parent also blamed me. I am about to turn 24, and my dream is to do what you do as well. I'm just getting started. So much love to you, Alyssa, Pragya, Mrs. Yang, and anyone else who sees this and whose hearts are similarly broken. To turn this kind of pain into love, compassion, and protection for others in the world is our biggest strength together.
When it happened to me I was 16. I never told my parents, because I knew they would blame me, my choice of clothing, my friends, my lack of interest in their church, etc. All I could do was bury it deep down and get on with it. They kicked me out onto the streets a few months later anyway.

To Mrs. Yang, thank you for believing your daughters when many mums don’t believe that their children have been wronged. I’m absolutely certain that your daughters are beyond grateful to have their mum fight for them, even after their departure. I cried when I heard “live, don’t die”. I recently left my job as a doctor as a young woman due to the abuse I was experiencing and was contemplating how I could live on. But I will live, I won’t die. I will live happier than them. This video case did have a powerful message, her daughters were so broken they couldn't fight, but she believed they were telling her to fight and so she is. She isn't giving up and that's such a powerful message. Fight for the broken and don't let the bad ones win.

same for me, im a mother (of 2 boys & 1 girl), was sa’d & r*ped like you were & my family didnt believe me because i held that secret up until my abuser died in prison by one of his victims family members got ahold of him… i had no idea he was arrested or else i would’ve tried to get into the case if the statute of limitations wasn’t in the way, so that the younger victims got the justice i didnt. my parents thought i lied bc of me hearing how he died & he was one of a family friends’ son.. its sickening. i do my best to teach my kids to be open & can talk to me about anything, but the oldest 2 of my kids (boy & girl), i made it my business from when they were a young age what a good & bad touch was & how to tell me if someone did a bad touch to them when they each started daycare/pre-k/ & then with them being in elementary school & will do the same until they are teenagers & same for my youngest son once he begins the daycare to school journey.. its pertinent to me, as mothers, as parents to not just provide but to protect not just my kids, i would for any kid! i’m so sorry that happened to you & you are a strong woman & mother, i want you to know this! 🫶🏽

To have a parent support you through something so traumatizing and dehumanizing is so important, and I know Sora and Sojung appreciated you deeply. When the ones we love are hurt by others, it is hard to do anything to ease that pain, yet you did everything in your power to stand by your daughter's sides. That in itself is so much more than enough, so much more than what other parents do. Thank you for working so hard to bring justice and give a voice to not only Sora and Sojung, but also to every victim of sexual assault that is wronged by the justice system. I am sorry the justice system and your country failed you and your family over and over again. I have never left a comment here before but I sobbed listening to this. As a woman, it fills me with rage and sorrow. I hope this mother gets justice, a long life and peace in her heart once again. Hang in there momma, the good people of the world won’t let this go on forever.
As a rape victim (from my own father may I add) it took me and my siblings 8 years to get him convicted because we had to fight the military. That wasn’t the worst part. That was the officers working my case was my “father’s” family. Who made it a point to make this town believe we lied. This is was in Oklahoma. I can openly say the US is just as bad about this with victims. And I pray for this mother. I pray for her. Because I know how my mom feels. But to go through this and not be here.. I’m a stranger. But I love you, and I’m sorry for your loss. And from the bottom of my heart, she will not be forgotten, and neither will her story.

I am bawling right now. I have no words for this…the lack of humanity in the directors and the police is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. I've been SAd/abused several times since I was a young child. Mrs Yang saying I shouldn't die at the end made me cry, I don't cry easily, I've struggled with suicide attempts and mental illness most of my life because of what I've been through. Her loss, strength and kind words give me a bit of strength to keep choosing life for me and my autistic daughter.

When I got to the part about the mother staying alive to make sure she took care of the dog and it living for 19 years and then she felt it was time to go but decided to protest all by herself, I started crying. I'm at work . I had to hide for awhile. This is infuriating and so sad. I didn't realize how bad it was for women in South Korea 😢

Omg that lady IS a WORLD TREASURE. I have to say It took me a minute to finally watch this, I'm a victim of sexual abuse and I know I can't even start to understand the pain and horror that family went through, but she's just so brave, from the way she talk about them I can say I love her daughters, I wish I can meet all of them after my days end and just hug them forever.

When I was SA’ed multiple times my mother called me a liar, asked if I was doing anything to provoke it etc. you are the most powerful women/mother I know and I want you to know that your daughters are looking down and dancing with happiness for what you’ve done with everything. I’ve tried to unalive myself 7 times because of all the SA that has happened to me, your family’s story is really inspiring to me since when i told my school what happened they brushed it off and said that they gave him “ a talk “ the talk was them telling him how SA is bad. Anyone who asks why she drank so much at the business event obviously is western and didn't listen to the explanation of these events that she just gave around 34:00, and thinks it's like getting too comfortable at your office Christmas party. I gather that women have no power to refuse a drink at these things from a male coworker especially a superior who does that drunken male thing where they down one after another and insist you "pour one for yourself too" . I've never been in this situation and I am American but I saw a pretty good illustration of this type of thing on Tokyo Vice: The American journalist passed the exam and gets hired with his classmates to a major Japanese newspaper in the 90s. Hes meeting his new coworkers and supervisors and approaches a woman who no one else is chatting with who is observing from the side and addresses her as Emi. He gets scolded for being overly familiar with a superior and using her given name. We are not friends, just because you are American don't think you can get away with acting friendly, I'm your boss, is the message. In the next scene the entirely male graduating class/new hires are all crowded in a bar with their new employers for an after business hours event like the one described here, everyone is getting drunk and getting to know each other, and it seems to go on for quite a long time into the night. I am a young woman from South Africa, and I was so touched by your story, ma'am. I live in a country that deals with sexual assault victims like jokes and lairs. Hearing how your daughter wasn't believed by cops and many others, including family, brought up a wound for me. Not even from personal experience but from the dozens of stories from the sexual assault victims daily across my country. Knowing you aren't safe nor protected, so if anything happened, you needed to be ready to fight for yourself, your fellow sisters, and children. @@kalpajha3002 I have. I have been in and out of therapy for years. But over the last year I have really dedicated myself to healing and not letting this past stay in control of my present. It is something I will live with forever, but it will no longer control me.

She is an amazing mother and the fact that she can keep fighting on for her daughters in the face of all of that injustice is one of the few truly beautiful things I've seen a human being do. I can't stop crying while watching this video. I was always so fixated on the main characters when watching the kdrama, but now I don't think I can ever watch any kdrama without wondering if someone was assaulted or ended up dead while casting in one. My son passed from suicide and when you said, “imagine being in a constant state of wheee you feel like you’re half drowning all the time” It finally put into words how I feel everyday. I’ve even developed bad lungs due to depression and it’s affects. This story touched me deeply 😢

I’m 40 minutes into the video, I’m absolutely horrified by what this young woman had to go through. To be treated lesser than human, and to be isolated in such a cruel way.. I sincerely hope she has her peace and clarity now. I cannot fathom how long this nightmare must’ve felt for her and her family. The people who denied her justice and stripped her identity away from her aren’t human. I’m convinced they’re monsters. How could ANYONE do this someone? She seemed like such a bright girl, with an even brighter future. To take that away from her is inhumane. Even hell isn’t enough for those pieces of trash.
Nanobes the lowest life forms that’s the only description that I can think of to describe these monsters, because even calling them animals is too generous. Because even animals don’t treat their own kind this way predators and prey yes, but it’s animal instinct and ingrained in them they can’t help it. Those people had a choice and they chose the wrong choice.

As someone who was rapped and sexually assulted. I fully understand that feeling of wanting to commit suic*de. It is not because we want to be dead, we just want that emotional pain to go away. To not feel disgusted and depressed. To not feel that hurt. I am furious that the police did nothing. I am disgusted these men got away. I am horrified at how this mother was treated. I hope her revenge is sweet. I hope these men one day feel what they did to those women. Cause then, only then, they could ever truly understand the hell they caused simply because they thought it was okay to take every no as a yes. And every cry as consent.
I don't think I have ever cried more when hearing a story. The amount of injustice in this case just made me incredibly angry and sad. Ms Yang is such an inspiration for not giving up and continuing to fight. Hearing that those horrible people are able to live a normal life after destroying one is making my blood boil. You are so strong Ms Yang and I feel with you, like all those other thousands of people who watched this video.

My daughter is 27. I can completely empathize with Mrs. Yang. We, as mothers, will do anything for our children. Even if the decision is painful, we will do anything, as long as it is to benefit our children. Mrs. Yang's decisions are the same I would make for my own daughter & she should sleep well knowing she was an unbelievably loving mother to her National Treasures. as someone working in the police industry, i'm enraged by how these police officers handled the case...here in our country, when someone claimed that she was SA'ed, we bring her to the investigation room intended for cases like that for their privacy, talk to her carefully, try to make her feel safe and things will be alright...we will assist her as much as we could, assist her all the steps up to filing the case...it's like we give them special treatment (in a good way)... this girl and her mother didn't deserve the treatment these police officers gave them...i'm so sorry for the mom...i just hope i can hug her and tell her that many people now know what happened to their daughter...it's unacceptable...i wish i could know the names of these directors so I could boycott their projects,..

I was unable to finish the video. I’ve been assaulted by 8 men in my lifetime. (Nowhere near to this degree, but listening to these assaults in detail was causing a panic attack for me) I came back to say how devastated I am to know what this poor girl went through. I’m very sorry to the mother, for all of her losses. I pray that she is healing. I hope she knows that her family will be remembered. That her family will not be forgotten. That the deeds these men have done will not be forgotten. Despite everything that happened to her, the psychological state she was in towards the end, I pray her daughter knows she is loved even beyond the grave.
I hope that this mom knows that there's an 18yo guy who hasn't cried while watching rotten mango before that's been bawling his eyes for 15mins. I hope moms, sisters and daughters will never be even scared of these things happening ever again. All my love to her ❤

Mrs. Yang, As a victim of SA who was unable to obtain justice, I just want to say that my heart breaks for you and your family. I admire your strength and thank you for doing everything you're doing. It is my sincere hope that one day you will get justice for your family and you will be able to dance on the graves of everyone responsible.
Firstly, Stephanie, you should be so proud of your storytelling, the dignity you show is unsurpassed. Mrs. Yang, as a fellow mama and survivor of SA I cannot imagine the pain your daughter went through being re-traumatized, may you get the peace you deserve. May you join your family in peace in good time. As a society we need to re-evaluate the SA laws and sentencing. My perpetrator was just released after 7 years for 4 felonies and 2 misdemeanors but that was the maximum sentence the Judge could give for the crimes. These were child SA crimes, mind you, 7 years is nothing. SA needs to be treated with more judicial severity than it currently does. This is why there are so many repeat offenders of SA because the consequences, if any, are garbage.
I love listening to your videos while working (I’m a dog groomer so music get repetitive) I have listened to over 2dozen of your videos and this one had me balling, then you started talking about the dog and it warmed my heart and I cried even more. I listen to these video while I clean or drive and I had to stop what I was doing because I broke into sob after hearing how she attempted to join her family once she was the last, she didn't fail that day she found her purpose and I hope that even when she gets the justice for her family that she continues to give herself the longest and most well deserved happy life just as she did her daughters beloved dog because the world need people like her. After learning progressively numerous cases of the past three decades in the South Korea, my impression of their officials and the way they manage things has been going downward rapidly. I agree with Mrs Yang that it is definitely not a safe place to bring up a daughter.

Yeah, that's the conclusion I've come to. While it's true that every country has problems when sexism and SA, some countries are much worse than others. While I never thought of South Korea as a gender-egalitarian society by any means, I never realized just how bad the place was for women until I started hearing about repeated cases like this tragic one. I've heard about the dangerously low childbirth rate in the country and think "no shit - between the expense and how women- especially mothers are treated, who'd want to have a child?"

South Korea is actually the country with the lowest birth rate for years. And the feminists in South Korea are fighting with their lives. I'm not an optimistic person when it comes to women right probably because I was born and raised in east Asia as well, but it's always touching to know that we are not fighting alone.

Her strength and persistence to get justice for her daughters is incredible ❤ determination like that doesn't come around very often and as heartbreaking as her daughters stories are, she could save countless others in the future. Imagine going to report a sexual assault. That alone takes a lot of bravery just for these e “cops” to make her feel like she’s making sh*t up. Allowing her to relive it just to demonstrate everything is cruel. The police failed to their job and made mockery of her pain . Can’t imagine how she felt psychologically and having to live with it everyday. As a mother having to lose two daughters I just can’t imagine how shes holding on.
After listening to this case, I’m so scared walking around because there’s no guarantee 😭 I’m so traumatized how people can ignore fragile beings, I can’t imagine how much the unnie went through, her family as well, so heartbreaking 💔
I reported a rape and the detective turned it around on me and started investigating me for prostitution. I've never even been a prostitute. But the guy who raped me told him that I was one so that was that. Even though this guy had a criminal history of SA. I didn't even know the guy, he was a stranger to me and when the cop was trying to identify who it was, I gave him a vague description of what he looked like from my memory and he came back with different mugshots from me to pick from. So my point is that this guy was well known enough to the police that they were able pick him (among a few others) based on my description and his horrible criminal history, but they still chose to believe him over me that I was a prostitute and let him off. The detective even showed up at my sister's house multiple times to ask her if she was absolutely sure that I'm not a prostitute. So anyway, this kind of bs is actually pretty common. I've shared this story- and another similar story- before and had others share similar situations. It's appalling.

The treatment of Mrs Yang and Sora by the police and how the whole investigation was conducted is disgusting and ridiculous. My heart goes out to her. She did not do anything wrong and should not feel guilty. Mrs Yang, you have been so brave and strong and I am so sorry for your loss. This story really moved me. When I was assaulted at 15, I was too scared to tell my mother out of fear and shame. I eventually told my parents about it 5 years later, and all I got told was, "That's sad that you didn't trust me to tell me this. You are so sad. I better not find out your lying," by mom followed by a, "you make it really hard for me to be your father," by my dad. I am now 24 years old and I work protecting and advocating for children who are victims of sexual abuse. I see parents blame their children for what happened to them EVERYDAY. The devotion and dedication Mrs. Yang has for her daughters is what I wish to see from more parents. I hope she knows that so many people are behind her on this, and even though a lot of us will never fully understand what she's going through, I hope she also knows that there are so many people around the world that support her.

I'm so proud you were able to turned this experience into hope for future survivors.
I was 14, and my parent also blamed me. I am about to turn 24, and my dream is to do what you do as well. I'm just getting started. When it happened to me I was 16. I never told my parents, because I knew they would blame me, my choice of clothing, my friends, my lack of interest in their church, etc. All I could do was bury it deep down and get on with it. They kicked me out onto the streets a few months later anyway.

same for me, im a mother (of 2 boys & 1 girl), was sa’d & r*ped like you were & my family didnt believe me because i held that secret up until my abuser died in prison by one of his victims family members got ahold of him… i had no idea he was arrested or else i would’ve tried to get into the case if the statute of limitations wasn’t in the way, so that the younger victims got the justice i didnt. my parents thought i lied bc of me hearing how he died & he was one of a family friends’ son.. its sickening. i do my best to teach my kids to be open & can talk to me about anything, but the oldest 2 of my kids (boy & girl), i made it my business from when they were a young age what a good & bad touch was & how to tell me if someone did a bad touch to them when they each started daycare/pre-k/ & then with them being in elementary school & will do the same until they are teenagers & same for my youngest son once he begins the daycare to school journey.. its pertinent to me, as mothers, as parents to not just provide but to protect not just my kids, i would for any kid! i’m so sorry that happened to you & you are a strong woman & mother, i want you to know this! 🫶🏽

I have never left a comment here before but I sobbed listening to this. As a woman, it fills me with rage and sorrow. I hope this mother gets justice, a long life and peace in her heart once again. Hang in there momma, the good people of the world won’t let this go on forever.
As a rape victim (from my own father may I add) it took me and my siblings 8 years to get him convicted because we had to fight the military. That wasn’t the worst part. That was the officers working my case was my “father’s” family. Who made it a point to make this town believe we lied. This is was in Oklahoma. I can openly say the US is just as bad about this with victims. And I pray for this mother. I pray for her. Because I know how my mom feels. But to go through this and not be here.. I’m a stranger. But I love you, and I’m sorry for your loss. And from the bottom of my heart, she will not be forgotten, and neither will her story.

I've been SAd/abused several times since I was a young child. Mrs Yang saying I shouldn't die at the end made me cry, I don't cry easily, I've struggled with suicide attempts and mental illness most of my life because of what I've been through. Her loss, strength and kind words give me a bit of strength to keep choosing life for me and my autistic daughter.

When I got to the part about the mother staying alive to make sure she took care of the dog and it living for 19 years and then she felt it was time to go but decided to protest all by herself, I started crying. I'm at work . I had to hide for awhile. This is infuriating and so sad. I didn't realize how bad it was for women in South Korea 😢
That part is exactly when I had a meltdown 😭.

I have to say It took me a minute to finally watch this, I'm a victim of sexual abuse and I know I can't even start to understand the pain and horror that family went through, but she's just so brave, from the way she talk about them I can say I love her daughters, I wish I can meet all of them after my days end and just hug them forever.

When I was SA’ed multiple times my mother called me a liar, asked if I was doing anything to provoke it etc. you are the most powerful women/mother I know and I want you to know that your daughters are looking down and dancing with happiness for what you’ve done with everything. I’ve tried to unalive myself 7 times because of all the SA that has happened to me, your family’s story is really inspiring to me since when i told my school what happened they brushed it off and said that they gave him “ a talk “ the talk was them telling him how SA is bad. Anyone who asks why she drank so much at the business event obviously is western and didn't listen to the explanation of these events that she just gave around 34:00, and thinks it's like getting too comfortable at your office Christmas party. I gather that women have no power to refuse a drink at these things from a male coworker especially a superior who does that drunken male thing where they down one after another and insist you "pour one for yourself too" .
I've never been in this situation and I am American but I saw a pretty good illustration of this type of thing on Tokyo Vice:
The American journalist passed the exam and gets hired with his classmates to a major Japanese newspaper in the 90s. Hes meeting his new coworkers and supervisors and approaches a woman who no one else is chatting with who is observing from the side and addresses her as Emi. He gets scolded for being overly familiar with a superior and using her given name. We are not friends, just because you are American don't think you can get away with acting friendly, I'm your boss, is the message. In the next scene the entirely male graduating class/new hires are all crowded in a bar with their new employers for an after business hours event like the one described here, everyone is getting drunk and getting to know each other, and it seems to go on for quite a long time into the night. Emi is standing in the corner like a waitress, watching for who needs a drink, not even given a seat, and the American notices and says "she has to just serve us drinks all night? That's not very fair" and his companions just nod and shrug
If I lived in Korea it would be an honor to protest along side you Mrs. Yang. You are such a strong person and it’s clear that your daughters were incredibly strong as well. You have thousands of people around the world rooting for you in your journey to find justice ❤

I am a young woman from South Africa, and I was so touched by your story, ma'am. I live in a country that deals with sexual assault victims like jokes and lairs. Hearing how your daughter wasn't believed by cops and many others, including family, brought up a wound for me.
Not even from personal experience but from the dozens of stories from the sexual assault victims daily across my country. Knowing you aren't safe nor protected, so if anything happened, you needed to be ready to fight for yourself, your fellow sisters, and children.
People like you remind me of hope and how Jesus is light. You are true love, and light, and I know your daughters and husband are proud.

I was always so fixated on the main characters when watching the kdrama, but now I don't think I can ever watch any kdrama without wondering if someone was assaulted or ended up dead while casting in one. My son passed from suicide and when you said, “imagine being in a constant state of wheee you feel like you’re half drowning all the time” It finally put into words how I feel everyday. I’ve even developed bad lungs due to depression and it’s affects. This story touched me deeply 😢

I’m 40 minutes into the video, I’m absolutely horrified by what this young woman had to go through. To be treated lesser than human, and to be isolated in such a cruel way.. I sincerely hope she has her peace and clarity now. I cannot fathom how long this nightmare must’ve felt for her and her family.
The people who denied her justice and stripped her identity away from her aren’t human. I’m convinced they’re monsters. How could ANYONE do this someone? She seemed like such a bright girl, with an even brighter future. To take that away from her is inhumane. Even hell isn’t enough for those pieces of trash.
Nanobes the lowest life forms that’s the only description that I can think of to describe these monsters, because even calling them animals is too generous. Because even animals don’t treat their own kind this way predators and prey yes, but it’s animal instinct and ingrained in them they can’t help it. Those people had a choice and they chose the wrong choice.

As someone who was rapped and sexually assulted. I fully understand that feeling of wanting to commit suic*de. It is not because we want to be dead, we just want that emotional pain to go away. To not feel disgusted and depressed. To not feel that hurt. I am furious that the police did nothing. I am disgusted these men got away. I am horrified at how this mother was treated. I hope her revenge is sweet. I hope these men one day feel what they did to those women. Cause then, only then, they could ever truly understand the hell they caused simply because they thought it was okay to take every no as a yes. And every cry as consent.

I don't think I have ever cried more when hearing a story. The amount of injustice in this case just made me incredibly angry and sad. Ms Yang is such an inspiration for not giving up and continuing to fight. Hearing that those horrible people are able to live a normal life after destroying one is making my blood boil. You are so strong Ms Yang and I feel with you, like all those other thousands of people who watched this video.

My daughter is 27. I can completely empathize with Mrs. Yang. We, as mothers, will do anything for our children. Even if the decision is painful, we will do anything, as long as it is to benefit our children. Mrs. Yang's decisions are the same I would make for my own daughter & she should sleep well knowing she was an unbelievably loving mother to her National Treasures. as someone working in the police industry, i'm enraged by how these police officers handled the case...here in our country, when someone claimed that she was SA'ed, we bring her to the investigation room intended for cases like that for their privacy, talk to her carefully, try to make her feel safe and things will be alright...we will assist her as much as we could, assist her all the steps up to filing the case...it's like we give them special treatment (in a good way)...
this girl and her mother didn't deserve the treatment these police officers gave them...i'm so sorry for the mom...i just hope i can hug her and tell her that many people now know what happened to their daughter...it's unacceptable...i wish i could know the names of these directors so I could boycott their projects,..

Jaw dropped on the disgusting behaviors and comments of those detectives and men. These young beautiful women deserved so much better. I pray their mother finds comfort in the lord, and this mother gets the justice she so severely deserves. She's suffered so much, its time to let justice prevail. I was unable to finish the video. I’ve been assaulted by 8 men in my lifetime. (Nowhere near to this degree, but listening to these assaults in detail was causing a panic attack for me) I came back to say how devastated I am to know what this poor girl went through. I’m very sorry to the mother, for all of her losses. I pray that she is healing. I hope she knows that her family will be remembered. That her family will not be forgotten. That the deeds these men have done will not be forgotten. Despite everything that happened to her, the psychological state she was in towards the end, I pray her daughter knows she is loved even beyond the grave.

Dear mother, I am a 19 year old daughter who was harassed since the age of 10, who attempted to take her life several times few years ago. The trauma that I went through is definitely not the same as your daughter, but I want you to know that I am certain that both your daughters never did or would blame you. They probably want you to live life as best as you can and I'm sure they love you as much as you love them.
You are such a strong, brave woman and I wish I could hold you in a long warm embrace.

As a victim of SA who was unable to obtain justice, I just want to say that my heart breaks for you and your family. I admire your strength and thank you for doing everything you're doing. It is my sincere hope that one day you will get justice for your family and you will be able to dance on the graves of everyone responsible.
Firstly, Stephanie, you should be so proud of your storytelling, the dignity you show is unsurpassed. Mrs. Yang, as a fellow mama and survivor of SA I cannot imagine the pain your daughter went through being re-traumatized, may you get the peace you deserve. May you join your family in peace in good time. As a society we need to re-evaluate the SA laws and sentencing. My perpetrator was just released after 7 years for 4 felonies and 2 misdemeanors but that was the maximum sentence the Judge could give for the crimes. These were child SA crimes, mind you, 7 years is nothing. SA needs to be treated with more judicial severity than it currently does. This is why there are so many repeat offenders of SA because the consequences, if any, are garbage.

I listen to these video while I clean or drive and I had to stop what I was doing because I broke into sob after hearing how she attempted to join her family once she was the last, she didn't fail that day she found her purpose and I hope that even when she gets the justice for her family that she continues to give herself the longest and most well deserved happy life just as she did her daughters beloved dog because the world need people like her. I write this with all the love and respect in the world. ❤
The fact that she held on just for the dog shows the overwhelming amount of heart and kindness Mrs. Yang has, and I'm sure her daughters were lifted by it. I'm comforted knowing that, despite the terrible things So Ra experienced and the terrible pain here sister felt after her death, they had such a loving mother who I'm sure made every other moment of their lives beautiful. My heart goes out to this family and my love goes out to Mrs. Yang for holding on and fighting.
I will do my incredibly small part and share this story, warn everyone of the perpetrators' names, and blast any drama they ever dare to touch.

After learning progressively numerous cases of the past three decades in the South Korea, my impression of their officials and the way they manage things has been going downward rapidly. I agree with Mrs Yang that it is definitely not a safe place to bring up a daughter.
Exactly. No country is completely safe but the number of stories covered from South Korea where the officials have done nothing is insane. I am surprised there isn’t an uproar about this from citizens. They deserve to be protected.
Yeah, that's the conclusion I've come to. While it's true that every country has problems when sexism and SA, some countries are much worse than others. While I never thought of South Korea as a gender-egalitarian society by any means, I never realized just how bad the place was for women until I started hearing about repeated cases like this tragic one. I've heard about the dangerously low childbirth rate in the country and think "no shit - between the expense and how women- especially mothers are treated, who'd want to have a child?"

There is apparently a lot of corruption there, if you have power and money you can get away with a lot of things in SK.
South Korea is actually the country with the lowest birth rate for years. And the feminists in South Korea are fighting with their lives. I'm not an optimistic person when it comes to women right probably because I was born and raised in east Asia as well, but it's always touching to know that we are not fighting alone.
