Well the next step in technology would be effective bulletproof armour for soldiers. Also having a load of human sized air personal would be very effective especially for stealth capabilities.

Is it just me, or is the fact that the real life Mk 1 Iron Man suit isn't as bulky as the cinematic one just absolutely amazing?
This is the mark 2, I think. The mark 1 is the one Tony made in the cave, this one he made in his lab.

Appreciate Video! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you considered - Trentvorty Fitness Life Theorem (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good one off guide for learning how to design your own Iron Man suit minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend after many years got astronomical results with it.
Technically he did build the metal suit, and it does fly. Doesn't fly because of him though lol

Cheers for this, I have been researching "rent authentic iron man suit" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Xenacob Heyndrew Guide - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my brother in law got cool success with it.

If they weaponized it they would/should make the thrusters detachable so that way you could go from traveling to combat ready in just a few moments. I say that based off of today's tech atleast, maybe in the future with further R&D they could make one badass suit in the right hands.

no joke one of the coolest things i’ve ever seen
When Gravity Industries created their jet suit they originally had thrusters on the legs and arms just like Iron Man but it kept flipping the pilot over on his rear end.
So instead they settled for the arms being the main thrusters and the legs had to dangle below.
When they started filming Iron Man they put Robert Downey Junior in a harness to film him flying around and found something similar with the harness.
The arms had to support most of the weight while the legs simply hung below other wise he kept flipping over.
The main thruster is on the back now. The thrusters on arms provide the balance and partial lift
Might wanna re-watch the documentary on it. To get the right motion of being supported in mid-air by one's lower half, the result was a harness that pulled up from the feet, with the cables stabilized at the waist.
Adam: We are at the cutting edge, pushing all technologies to their limits.

I say it’s an incredible design detailing on the iron man flight controllable suit 👍 amazing technique prototype.
Adam looked so sad when he admitted he wasn't experienced enough to wear the suit while piloting. I hope he kept practicing so he could live that dream.

Adam has built an iron man suit. The cave suit from the first movie. He could build this suit as well. The point of this however was to demonstrate the 3d printing of titanium and flying around with the jetpack. Also he is the sole reason why they printed that iron man suit in the first place and I wouldnt be surprised if he was heavily involved in the design and planning.

It's amazing with that just being 1,000lbs of thrust, that you can see the equal and oopposite reaction of thrust on his solid launch pad but with the lunar lander at 10,000lbs of thrust you can't see any displacement on the moon surface .That is relative to powder!!!!! I think the curve in the leg is where some part of the foot is and the actual foot is lifts to make the Character taller. Plus RDJ loves lifts

This reminds me of the story of someone watching Tom Cruise's film 'Minority Report' in 2002 and seeing Tom use his hands to 'scroll' past pages of a giant computer screen and then someone designing the smartphone 'swipe' concept three years later...and then Steven Jobs unveiling the technology on stage in 2007.
Tony Stark was able to build this in a cave...with a box of scraps!

i mean elon musk sent his tesla into space, there are flying cars but the regulations aren't there yet. Electric self driving cars are the future, Musk wants to build a hyperloop system that you can put your car into a pod and travel up to 600 miles in 30 minutes. and since its self driving all you need to do is put your destination and it goes there for you

There needs to be a flight on the legs too in order to control the balance when flying and then focus on making the armor more flexible for the suit.

The knee problem can be fixed by using a "bulb" for each knee. The "bulb" is several layers of added titanium going above and below the knee in the front with a wrap around of slender layers allowing for the back of the knew to bend forwards. And pls fix the shins if this becomes a real thing. (The "bulb" can be used for all joints and openings btw).

This is just awsome to watch. Every technology just needs to be improved over time. Get smaller cheaper and overall better. Imaging having two improved little versions of those engines in the back, one on each arm and leg. That makes it super harder to use probably but that should make an Ironman suit almost identical to Tony's.
He actually talked about why there's no jet engine on the legs: during liftoff they're way too close to the ground and can damage it, and in the air your feet instinctively start to pedal and you lose control

The armor probably won't stop most rifle rounds, considering that they shot it with a .45 ACP presumably 230g FMJ at around 850fps the large surface area combined with low velocity tends to have poor armor penetration capabilities. This armor is Impractical on the battlefield until it can handle rifle cartridges in excess of 2,000fps.
