At several points in the video: Lightning's innate power (and all innate powers that do not say "instead") can activate all effects that they fulfill the requirements for, in order from top to bottom. So at least twice, he could have destroyed a town and a city instead of just a city.
@48:56 The Invaders don't need Explorers (they're not called settlers) to build a City in the Wetlands. So, there should have been 2 Cities in the Wetlands labelled 1. As long as any invaders are in the land type on the build card, they build. Great video Tom!
This game seems like a pretty complex combination of things, a lot going on with area control on main map, then your own player board, then very texty cards. It's a bit too much maybe in that Scythe, Risk, Inis, Cry Havoc zone, which is not my area.
Actually it looks more complex than it really is. The rules are well written and there are reminder cards (as well as summaries on the back of the rules) so it's not that hard to follow. There are things like adversaries and scenarios that can be added to make it more challenging and thematic but they are optional. So you can adjust the game to suit your style.

You seem to be misplaying the Build phase: the invaders will buikd in any space containing any invaders - not just in spaces with explorers.
Noted up, thanks :)

Yes, except Lightning's innate power does say 'instead' on the second row.

Noted up now, thanks :)
36:50 you built in the mountain region that already had a city despite the fear card saying the invaders weren't building there.
Note added, thanks!
*shaking spears in celebration* Well done. 😊 This game looks interesting.
awesome game play video

You totally missed the obvious: Pandemic.

Do you actually put Risk in the same "zone" as Scythe, Inis, and Cry Havoc when looking at a game's complexity?
Your first impressions link in the description leads to the impressions of Roll Player instead.
A perfect opportunity to see them again :D Fixed now, thanks!
What’s the card sleeve size for those action cards?
