Thanks for this video. My wife and I still love this game after many years of playing. We have all the expansions. It can definitely be brutal, but that makes winning all the better.
It's great how rewatching this a year later, I still remember certain moments like the Tokyo General attacking the monster and encountering the metal cylinder brains. Good stuff and please keep playing this fantastic game (and letting us experience it with you).
I can safely say I had the quickest loss ever: 1st of a solo game turn with Skids O'Tool, a ghost, and a sanity crunching mythos card. Turned that loss around with Zoey Samaras and a win, curb stomping eldritch abominations left and right
One of my favorite games of all time. Arkham Horror 2nd Edition was my first big game purchase, and also solo experience years ago. Eldritch Horror is everything good about that, streamlined and made better. And there's such a ridiculous amount of replay in the game, even with just a couple of the small box expansions.
nice to find this gametrough, im about to play EH today and read the rules, but was good to actually watch you playing to help how to play it. thanks bro :)
At 27:49 you need to test Lore -1 with Lola. You claim that only leaves her with 1 die, but I think that should be 2 (because of the Lore Improvement she has).
It takes longer and you can lose track of things when everyone gets a ton of cards, but I much prefer having double the amount of encounters :D hope you enjoy!
Conditions and spells are meant to be shuffled back in but I don’t do that because it’s a big hassle with how big those piles can get! Everything else discarded I think
hello! recently watched finish ur Azathoth run and got into EH with my friends, i was wondering what expansion pack provided the player aid as well as the focus tokens? it would help us lots
I've been diving into Arkham Horror The Card Game and it's nice to see this playthrough coming... I didn't know about focus action, it seems like a really good addition.. Do you have a rank on the expansions for the game? Also, I think you could've used some of the special abilities on Lola and Jim when they were in Tokyo to get another die or rerroll something... But I might be mistaken...
@@theercs at 29:00 Jim makes a will test with 3 dice. But with Lola's ability he could roll one more die there. (I've not see if there's a kinglon there, I'm just rewatching)
Also, at 27:30 Lola makes a Willpower-1 test but Tom forgot that she's proficient, so that would be two dice instead of one. But he passes the test, so it's fine :)
Two thumbs up for the clearly huge amount of post production on this - brings the best of static and handheld feel imho. Also just good to see EH on a table :). Masks of Nyarlothotep was a big disappointment for the price, though the old one is great (see what I did there 😉), the backstories are only really worth it if you have ALL the other expansions (or you’re expanding content you don’t have), and again are fun. The campaign mode straight up sucks - it’s got all the quality of last minute homework in a subject that’s not your strongest :-/.
Oh wow. This is my current obsession, played it 5 times this week. I love the game. But winning by solving the third mystery often feels very anticlimactic to me. Still enjoying it though!
Know what you mean about anticlimactic. But certainly wasn’t the case in the game where mystery 3’s resolution was Jim dispatching the Spinner of Webs with his last encounter as the final investigator of the stacked, mauled party with the Mythos deck empty. That one felt pretty good 🙂.
Personally we always start with the most experienced player as lead investigator and then rotate it clockwise around the table each turn. I just like to have everyone get a chance at it even if it often doesn't change much
That’s a fair way of doing it, Arkham does it that way. I think it’s good you can pick maybe later on when someone is worse for wear and maybe shouldn’t be lead investigator in case the mythos card targets them for something bad

Always happy to see Eldritch playthroughs.
I was afraid at the short playtime this was the quickest loss ever =D.

That business card holder is utterly brilliant! I ordered one straight away after seeing this! Thank you!

EH is best in my opinion in AH files

Thank you, glad I could help!
So glad you have this run-through. One of my favourites but because of the length it doesn't hit the table enough..

I have added a note to the Klingon subtitles. Thanks for the help! :)
I've yet to attempt this solo with four characters. I am really excited to see how this plays for you!
It takes longer and you can lose track of things when everyone gets a ton of cards, but I much prefer having double the amount of encounters :D hope you enjoy!
Do we discard the cards when we use them or they go back into the deck? E.g encounter cards, , mysteries, artifact, conditions and spells.

Those are both in the Mountains of Madness Expansion

If you see anything amiss that is not already in the Klingon subtitles, let me know (with a timestamp) and I will get it added. Thanks!

Thanks, I'm glad you noticed! The close up camera didn't work out so there was a lot of finding cards out afterwards :D

where is the rest!? lol. you've got me watching other playthroughs now. Tomflix, the new episodic game channel lol
I like the sound of that :D part 2 just went up!
