A brand named "Hostess" makes candies called "penis" "prostitute" and "underage homosexual", that doesn't sound silly, actively pornographic. Granted, I'm sure the cakes came first and other treats adopted the name, but to an aussie of our generation, sounds very crass.

When I was like 6 I stole my cousin's Christmas present on Christmas day. It wasn't a big present, just some Star Wars lollies, but I still remember it and feel guilty sometimes.
(this was early 2000s, before the Star Wars resurgence. I think it was around the time Attack of the Clones came out)
when i was 7 or 8 i was on an excursion with my school holidays program and i stole like a chess piece??? or something small belonging to a set. it was after clean up time and i didnt realise i was still holding it and then when the carer asked everyone where it was i was too anxious to say i had it in case i got in trouble so i put it in my pocket. now that im older i know it wouldnt have been a big deal, they just saw it was missing. but i guess i didn't want anyone to think i intentionally stole something .......so i intentionally stole it :)))

I kinda have a similar story to the woman who has a crush on her delivery guy. So, one day last year (I was 24 at the time) a delivery guy delivered some tires for my dad's truck and I was playing the Switch in the front room with the curtains open to let the light in. I saw the van drive up and walked outside and opened the door. As the guy came out with the tires he chuckled at me (and I'm getting flustered just writing about it). I haven't seen him since but I do have a crush on another delivery guy (he delivered something to where I volunteered). I do see him driving in the van sometimes when he delivers stuff to other houses around where I live but he hasn't delivered anything to my house yet. Although I did order Christmas gifts last night, so maybe he'll be delivering them? Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to the people who celebrate it.

I have a similar story to the poetry kid but it was with a drawing I copied off Pinterest. My former boss who was an art director at a boys and girls club really wanted me to enter it into a contest. I made it to semi finals and it was in a paper report as well

Not really a confession because it’s well known by friends and family, but I was a dumbass as a child. One day when I was seven my brother and I were playing hide and seek under the watch of a sitter, and I in all my lack of awareness of just how chubby I was hid in our top load washer. Got in fine, did not get out. My mom came home from work a half hour later and spent what felt like an hour and a whole lot of butter and Vaseline later to grease me out of there.
I will say the Hostess names are... weird but they also predate most of the slang they sound like. Renaming a "successful" product usually does go well, so a cutesy name 50+ years ago may become a sus name now, but... you would lose a lot of money and marketing if you changed the name. (And when something has been around that long you "just accept" that's what it was called and don't really question it)

Didn't know that until years into our friendship, where he admitted everything he'd been lying about. And he'd been lying about EVERYTHING. Even as simple as his favorite color. All the way up to having had cancer.

Yes please 🙏🏼 more of these! After a week of long days at work, waking up to this….🤌🏼 I’ve had the best laugh I’ve had in awhile. The goblin story had me in literal tears from laughing so hard. You can just picture someone you know doing this…at least I could anyway. That story literally takes the cake! And yes, Hostess really do be having some weird snack names.
