Thank you for sharing your insights very helpful I’m making my next academic journey choice after my MBA and working in Higher Education for over 15 years
Thanks for the great video! I started my Ph.D. in Adult Education earlier this year, and I start an EdD in Educational Leadership this fall (crazy, I know...). I'm interested to see the difference between the two programs regarding focus in research vs application. Have you heard about the movement to standardize the EdD? JHU and many others are currently involved.
Hey I've completed a masters in tesol and am looking to begin my Ed.D in Literacy, Language and Culture next fall.. JHU was one school I was looking at for that (as well as Texas A&M and Indiana.. From some minor research I've done and a few lengthy phone calls to some schools, it appears the motivation behind standardizing this is simply to cash in on people like me who want the doctoral degree without having to quit my full time job... And like he says in the video, plenty of research has been done on who is willing (and more importantly, ABLE) to pay for that.. It makes sense in the end..! Are you doing both degrees simultaneously? I'm really curious to know more about your pursuits!
Thank you for this! I am in the middle of my MBA now and looking into the next level.
Booo-yeah!! Get after it!
This is an interesting video! I have an EdD and I teach at HE and supervise DBA.
Thank you, sir. Your speech really helped me to clear my mind about choosing the concentration.

I don't know. Let me and others know what you find out about this movement! Keep it up!

Austin, my experience with JHU is $$$$$$$$$. They know how to cash in while driving students over the edge of sanity. Your mileage may vary.
Amazing. Never met someone doing a PhD and EdD at the same time. That's a lot of work, but doable if part time for both. Or full time without working.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
No problems!
Good information. Thank you
Thanks!
