What are the benefits of having a doctorate in business administration? Are you interested in getting you doctorate in business administration? First of all, I am either talking about a PhD or a DBA degree. They are distinct in their outcomes and process, but will yield you similar ideas.
From my perspective, there are four benefits of getting a doctorate in business administration.
    1. A PhD in Business Administration will allow you to see things in new ways. You cannot put a price tag on this ability to identify new ideas, or do you have a very rich understanding of the world.
    2. A Doctorate in Business Administration has status associated with it. This is not the same as financial success. However, the caveat is that you actually have to going to complete the degree.
    3. A PhD in Business Administration will give you a very focused understanding of your research topic. If you have something that you’re very curious about, the PhD will help you understand that topic a lot more than an MBA will. A Masters of Business Administration just give you a broad overview.
    4. You will develop a ability to nerd-out on ideas. You will be able to focus on curious things a lot more than you used to do.
Notice that I never mentioned the financial pay-back of the degree. Doing a PhD is not a degree that you should think about the financial returns. There are returns, but they are much longer than one would expect. The primary benefit of the doctorate of business administration is to allow you to see the world in a different way.

David Maslach is a research professor of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business strategy, I discuss topics, such as behavioral science, strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and apply these to my new peer proofreading and editing platform. Topics include the sharing economy, altruism, investing in technology, starting a business, and bounded rationality. My favorite videos pertain to incentives, goal setting, and learning from failure to drive behaviors such as weight loss, stopping telemarketers, creating novel technologies, and creating new movements.
r3ciprocity.com: Peer proofreading and editing platform
A new platform where you can earn credits by editing other people's documents. Use these credits to have your own work edited. If you do a good enough job, you can convert these credits to money.
The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.

I am on the journey with a DBA, it's more suitable for busy executive that want a structure preparation before embarking on the thesis/dissertations development. The coursework helps to built up the critical thinking development and writing skills enhancement. Vs a PhD that requires to almost start from a blank piece of paper. Both are equally rigorous.

I am contemplating a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership when I am done w/ my Masters in Human Resources; mainly because I know it will be difficult to find a job in HR specifically because my school doesn't connect students with internships. I hope w/ the DSL (Doctorate in Strategic Leadership) I can become an independent consultant. What is your advice?
