Thank you Cynthia. CGC has a much better sound to me generally. Other option is to get a baritone dulcimer which has AEA tuning or you can even take it down to GDG. It’s an octave lower than standard dulcimer. Stick with it! You will find your groove :-)
This is called a Dulciborn. Gold tone made them only in the year 2015. You have to find them preowned. If you want to look for one, recommend you get onto some online dulcimer groups and ask if anyone has one for sale. They are styled after Weisenborn guitars. All the best!
