Riding Through The Glen

- This piece was inspired by the beauty of Western Colorado. It's my first full length octave mandolin composition and I wrote snippets of it while staying in Cotopaxi and Loveland. I couldn't resist making a live outdoor recording after discovering a beautiful field this autumn near the Trout home in Fort Collins. I'm currently working on a studio recording for the next album ;)

Earth music for the great mother performed by an elvish queen. Beautiful. Never stop.
Honor thy Father and Mother Creators.
Do not bear false witness. Elohim ♡ El shaddai.. a woman clothed in the sun is El shaddai, rev 12. Elohim is Rev 11:12 who you ascend to after death for judgement. Her wrath is covid, rev 14. Her hand smokes with vengance.. so Jesus won't kill anybody. Tho yhwh will. She is called a prostitute by Jesus cuz she is omnipresent and we humans sold out.. so she is responsible for creation and will wrath for 1000 years.
Your 'great mother' kills you. Are you aware of this? Stop the idiocy
Jammin'!🔥
She was totally in the zone ! What a talented young lady.
Brilliant, Ian Anderson should sign her up for Jethro Tull 👍
It does have a Tull sound to it , early Tull
No, just a duo between her and him
@@michaelscrivani2721Jethro till and a shade of led zeppelin.
But a talent uniquely her own.
Beautiful performance by a beautiful talented lady with long nimble fingers.
I've been a musician most of my 51 years, and I've never heard a mandolin played like this. Absolutely beautiful.
That is not a normal mandolin. I don't know whether they call it a tenor or a baritone. But, it is just a lovely instrument.
I believe it’s a citron, which you might hear, depending upon your history and culture as a baritone
Im not a musician, to my n00bish eyes she's playing double time (if thats the right term), using both hands that often play different notes at the same time.
You have now! Awesomely so! 😊
Give zeppelin 3 a listen
From God's very soul to her hands . The trees shivered the leaves glistened the birds sang and the path cleared through the Glen .
Beauty, Amazing Love, Sweetness of Family Farms and Life in Space. It's a Spectacularly Played Song.
Thank you we still have real musicians and real music in the world, this would have been appreciated a thousand years ago, we all appreciate it now, and it will be appreciated and loved a thousand years from now ..
I absolutely love this. It is right up my alley. I hear Songs from the Wood. I wish you all the success in the world!
This is truly the whole package of Beauty!❤🎶
Just listen... the birds, the river, the grass and a mandolin, a woman playing an unheard melody...
If there is a heaven, this is it!
You forgot the aeroplane 2:55
@@olsim1730🙁 u had to mess it up i didn’t hear it until u mentioned it!! and then after turning up the volume i heard a dog barking right afterwards… 🎧
I could hear Ian Anderson playing flute and singing softly with you! 🥰
My instant thought listening to the first bars was that this could be a tune by JT. So familiar to my ears.
Wow. Close your eyes and you can hear the melody in the music of Jethro Tull. She is most excellent.
Love it, the best antidote for modern over produced, computerized music, excuse me now while I listen to it again...
Cheers my friend! Acoustic music and the sounds of nature are my preference as well 😉
For certain...❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
THANK YOU...
A lovely woman, a beautiful song, and a peaceful country scene. Altogether gorgeous! Thanks for sharing those minutes with us.
Doesn't this talented musician’s face and beautiful hair resembles those of the lady that appears in Sandro Botticelli’s painting "The Birth of Venus"? Great haunting composition!
Yes totally
That's what I came to say!! Remarkable resemblance.
Es ella....hermosa....tan solo si tocara para mi😊
The lady's name was Simonetta Vespucci, a cousin of Amerigo, I have read. She was the mistress of Giuliano d'Medici, who was murdered in the Pazzi conspiracy. Botticelli is said to have been in love with Simonetta....
I thought so too!!!!!
Love it. No one like her. Her music takes me to another time.
Most mandolinists don't even try to play the way you do. This is extraordinary.
Thank you for the kind words ❤️
@@LadyMoonCries Those notes jumping off your left hand while your right pick holds still suggests another plane of existance worth pausing.
@@jacquesvincelette6692some of her songs are taught on her Patreon channel. Man it's another galaxy working on these. But so satisfying and impossibly beautiful
you should attend a Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Ireland lots of great musicians playing in the streets pubs where ever you go there's musicians, the young and the old
I have an octave mandolin that I finger pick instead of flat and in the USA
Celtic magic
Can`t count how many times i now have listened to this tune . still in love with it as it is . art that touches soul.
Hmmm…this sounds like some sort of open tuning, but I don’t play mandolin, so don’t know…..
I felt like I was looking at a Raphael painting come to life.
Pre raphaelite
Yes, or a Pre-Raphaelite one.
Yes, she’s very beautiful. And I love her playing.
Amen
Lass, at one time in my life, I would have fought Giants to be with you,
Nothing more now than the Echoes of young man's dreams in my old age ... this life can be so cruel to dangle such incredible beauty , the living heart of my dreaming, so late...❤ thank you
Dragons gleaming gold
Imagine someone discovering Bert Jansch’s guitar playing from 50 years ago and then picking up this instrument - this is the result ❤️
You made an ol man dance Lassie! Beautiful.you are to the ear as whiskey to the lip!
I laddy, willlypoboy, do you really know the differences, the jar and the barrel?
she blew me away. I love Chris Thile and Mandocello, she's the crossing. This octave mandolin sounds so great, she's playing so expressive with mind blowing dynamics and the piece is telling this rousing story, producing pictures of flashing landscapes. Took me on a ride, no chance to get off the horse.
Incredible playing.
She literally looks like a John William Waterhouse painting.
Not just the background, but herself.
There really is nothing like octave mandolin. It gives me chills every time I hear it.
Same here! Wow.
The Irish bouzouki very close - soundwise. Anyway this is outstanding
Never heard alternative picking on the mandolin before. It's brilliant.
I didn't know what you called it but alternative picking is right on and you are correct...brilliant!
Now back to practicing some more and then more......
Tony Rice style cross-picking.
Alternate picking.
Angelic. Gorgeous. Beyond human! Radiant and masterful. Well done!
Hearing the tempo and the notes makes me feel like I'm on a strong horse riding quickly through this pastoral scene! Excellent!
Yeah, me too!
What a beautiful composition. I was sitting here learning to play it, and figured I should comment. This is one of my favorite pieces ever, and I'm including Bach! Thank you so much for writing and sharing this! 16 thousand views? Should be 16 million!
A composition that is about how freedom actually feels ❤
This is why I have an Irish Bazooki, for rainy days.
she plays inside her own mind, and that's where the beauty is coming from...very rare..
The Glen.... I know exactly the meaning......
her Heart calling out to me....
let me hear and feel you....
This is the best kind of music video. Good, real sound in a live performance. Such beautiful music. Excellent playing!
Thank you for the kind words my friend 🙏
An exquisite composition, beautifully played…that the musician is a Renaissance painting come to life is just icing on the cake…
I NEED more of your music. Your mandolin playing is EXACTLY what I want to hear.
That was awesome!
My ears are whispering that I have found a new favorite music channel.
Ah, cheers! So glad you’re here 😉❤️
Ranger of The GODdess Hekate here, saying LAV THIS!!
Thank YOU, GODDESS
What a wonderful composition, played on a fine autumn day!
You know someone is truly talented when they are doing something that is inherently hard, but they are making it look easy. You make it look easy. I enjoyed that immensely!
Don't forget to mention the countless hours she pt in on that instrument regardless of her talent.
This is even more beautiful every time I listen 😍
Thank you so much, Seth! That makes my day 😊
I love how well she knows her instrument, it makes it really sincere and beautiful, you can see it in her face, that mandolin is like another limb to her.
Beautiful music is made of dedication, inspiration and soul, that's why it transcends!👏
I'm a musician. And that was a treat!! Simply beautiful!❤
THE PERFECT SOUNDTRACK INTRO-FADE OUT for the DOCUMENTARY of the VICTIMS pf Hurricane Helene, in E. Tennessee and W. North Carolina.
Perfect! Yes, I’m a Writer!
Ta musique me transporte dans une dimension merveilleuse.
Merci beaucoup ma jolie.❤
AMAZING. For those of us purposely on the path of clarity and ascension, we all feel how spiritually moving and calming this is. I am a retired professional drummer, singer/ lyric writer from Los Angeles, and I am a magnet for positive vibes and incredibly moving music. Knowing that a few of my past lives were based in the Northern Galic regions of Europe, the innate attraction to these vibrations are not so mysterious, for they are so calming, so soothing and peaceful.❤🙏
Ah, it's all there, the mystery the trials and victories, the urgency and suspense. A classic piece brought truly to life like no other can. An experience.
Cheers to the adventure, my friend ❤️
Absolutely killer! You’ve got great technique, but more importantly that’s a beautiful piece of music. You play your tail off!
My baby is mesmerized!
The most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on. So talented. Gives me chills every time. I can't wait to buy an octave mandolin.
Thank you for the kind words! Hope you find the octave you’re looking for🦋
A beautiful melody played extremely beautifully by a fantastically talented and beautiful woman.
🙏❤️
"I believe we have found Martin Barre's replacement." -- Ian Anderson
and in the end ... there was no replacement. but Joe Parrish is 1 of my 5 fav guitarists
That brought me showers down my spine and tears to my eyes.
A beautiful piece wonderful played.
I'm 65 and a musician myself but never saw and listened to a mandolin like this, with that long neck.
It really sounds awesome!
So brilliant and glasslike.
Thank you very much for bringing this to us!
Cheers from Berlin
...
And now once more...
0:37 - entry voice Ian Anderson...
Thank you for playing for everyone. it was really lovely.🚶♂️➡️🤸♂️🤺
That beautiful countryside backdrop was made for her, she's infused in it, with her music.
Love the octave mandolin - beautiful depth!, from the state just to the south of you, The Land of Enchantment
Thanks Lady Moon!!!
Awesome playing!! Beautiful rhythm!!
Dear Lord, Lady Moon, the very highest compliment I can pay you after listening to this masterpiece is this:
"You are music."
The very beginning of you, the middle of you and the end of you, indeed all and every inch of you are music. And because of that and who you are, we all love you dearly. DK
I've never heard of the long neck mandolin. This is completely wonderful. Add a voice to it and you must tour. Please come to England. Brilliant stuff.
Great Scott! I just saw the Fairy Queen and she was playing the mandlin like she invented it.😮
What a beautiful surprise! So inspiring to see you maintaining such amazing cultural traditions! Lovely melody
Eva, I just listen to this over and over. It fits the mind set or mood I have been in. Your playing is so great technically but it so so very much more than that in this performance. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
That was absolutely beautiful. 🎼🎶🎵God bless real musicians. Take care and thank you.
This is extraordinary. I can’t describe how soothing and perfect it sounds. I thought it was a traditional composition but I was surprised when I read that you composed it. Can’t wait to hear it when you release this live version or the album version. Cheers!
Thank you so much! Excited to finish it for y’all 😉❤️
What a remarkable, beautiful sound she has brought forth from that instrument! I am mesmerized. I am not abed in my humble abode in Dallas, Texas....but rather I am in a lovely land of castles, ladies, kings and queens.....all happy, all picnicking on soft green grass under huge dappled oak trees.....while the horses stand admiring the view, and the court musicians serenade all.
Have a beautiful year full of music🙏❤
Divine. I’ll be playing music under the moon tonight as well on the farm road 🤠🌈✨🌕
Exquisite. I see the Glens and the lilting light of times gone by and yet ever present. Thank you. Your musical telling is poetry ❤
I have never seen a mandolin with a long scale length like this. Excellent performance on it. I want one now :)
Stunning piece of music!
Exquisit sound and performance from such a lovely Woman, instrument. Thank you for blessing me this day YT Algorithm. 🛐🙏
Bravo, so beautiful, you, your playing! ♥️😽
Absolutely ❤
Beautiful. So happy to make your acquaintance! I've just felt like I'm being propelled through a dream, the likes of which I've never had.
the octave mandolin actually sounds as beautiful as a lute, your playing just made it even more so.
Lute player agrees :)
Way different from bluegrass mandolin. And very beautiful.
Definitely sounds closer to bouzouki playing in the Irish tradition
Exquisite Child of Nature and Divine Impulse.🎉😮❤😊🎉
Happy Winter Solstice!
Beautiful... Ian Anderson would definitely approve.
❤I have never heard anyone play so betifuly and very explendly ritmical and with such swing ❤
As árvores, a montanha, a relva, a terra vem de Deus e a música através das mãos dessa garota tbm, simplesmente...maravilhoso!
All of your videos are so captivating and the skill at which you play is quite remarkable, but in many of your videos it's your strumming hand that impresses me the most. Simply astonishing. Have a great day.
Incredible production values. Deftly played. You are why music is a healer.
Never heard such playing in a mandoline. A dream
Wow, super talented & super beautiful...Colorado is lucky to have you...thanks for sharing.
This is truly epic! Love this lady moon! Simply beautiful.
There now, you've made the world a better place. Cheers !
Clearly the RUclips algorithm has brought me some fantastic gifts today. Lady Moon! Great job, love the tune. Liked and subscribed.
A Terrific track and wonderful performance a great scene so inspiring, you prof players are a gift to all of us learning the music and instruments. A great gift thank you
So cool. Anyone else “hear” Ian Anderson singing underneath this?
I was thinking this sounds like something Jethro Tull would do!
Songs From the Wood
definitely!
A real living preraphelite beauty playing the mandolin like a boss!
That is not a mandolin .
You really know how to pick 'em! Lovely...
😂
Beautiful! Reminds me of Dun Ringill, one of my absolute favourites by Jethro Tull.
I'm thankful to be provided with something different
I’ve never heard the mandolin played thusly…! Beautiful
Wonderful! Excellent music making from a unique instrument. Your hands Ms. 2:54 Lady Moon seem made for the bouzouki --long, elegant and agile.
Thank you so much! Long fingers help 😉
Oh, young lady, you and your music are AWESOME!!!! Thanks for your ART! ❤
My God. This is just....lovely.
❤️
Beautiful job Lady Moon, I see wonderful blessings in your life.
