I can’t thank enough the wonderful group of artist that helped me get this call done.
What is this MAP about?:
This MAP is an AU of Pinestar and Tigerkit, exploring the emotional turmoil that starclan put Pinestar through in order to kill Tigerkit. But what if Pinestar didn’t run away? What if he went through with it?

Applied, This storyboard is one of the most heartbreaking aus I've ever seen. I love this AU and it makes me feel so sad for Pinestar and Tigerkit. and Pinestar who knows that fate is cruel but can't help but carry the guilt all by himself. i like this man.

OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WITH THIS SONG AND PINESTAR/TIGERKIT SAME BRAIN CELL
Me too the only difference I was I had Pinestar leave the clan but he was haunted by starclan so he returned and yeeted Tigerkit off the waterfall like Whiteclaw

Ooh this is fun! Deliciously tragic. Poor Pinestar and poor Tigerkit and poor Leopardfoot! Though it does make me wonder if something similar is happening in Shadowclan with Yellowfang and Brockenpaw (kit?)
Kind of hoping it will backfire in making future _worse_ tbh, in the similar way to Laius thinking he managed to escape the prophecy of his son killing him but ending up ensuring it would happen instead.
Except this time it's Starclan that makes things worse by trying to punish a child for something he didn't yet do.
I mean technically brokenkit always had a choice, he was not bound by destiny unlike tigerkit.
@@Parasolhyena Eh, I don't know about that... I do seem to recall that Yellowfang had some sort of vision when he was born. We also don't know if Raggedstar was told anything by Starclan or not - we never really were in _his_ head, after all.
Besides, Tigerstar also very much had a choice - they all did!
OOH this au has peaked my interest!! Ive always had big feelings about how starclan told pinestar to kill his son. If they control destiny or whatever why dont they just like. Drop a tree or smth on him?? Why tell pinestar to KILL him, an actual kit who hasnt done anything yet?? Its baffling, i love this take on things :) cant help wondering if tigerkit might end up surviving the river if theres ever a continuation or sequel. Very excited to see this map come out i wish everyone the best!!

Especially if the other 2 kits still die like they do in canon, leaving Pine with the fact that he killed the only kit that wasn't visibly weak and clinging to life, who might have survived

This is such a powerful and beautiful concept, I'm a sucker for deep dives into morality. The way you paint the turmoil and how it's tearing him apart is so interesting. The warriors community due to its younger demographic is pretty black and white but it's projects like this that push those norms. I love how there's no right answer here, in the end, someone dies. The fact that you're not afraid to present that is amazing and a very mature perspective on the story. Overall, this is just so different to what you normally see. It's not necessarily dramatic, but it doesn't have to be. It's sombre and quiet, it's personal. It's not fast paced, it's slow and the whole world just stops. In moments like these, characters are at their most vulnerable. I feel that the warriors community focuses more on the big dramatic scenes or the over the top action. But the stillness here is strangely peaceful in a way, as if he's aware this is a final goodbye. EPIC is a fantastic adaptation of a dark story and one thing that I absolutely love is how versatile the songs are. When music is written in a way where the context can be taken outside that media it communicates a sense of awareness, it's a chance to connect to a wider audience in more ways than one. You have brought the two together perfectly, the powerful music alongside the deep emotions- it fits so well. I don't know if I'm making sense but I'm really struggling to find the words here. This is just beautiful.
