    Thank you for sharing... I'm waiting for mine in the mail... due tomorrow. I found a 10% off code... saved $30! Please advise difference you've found between skates with no heal and those with.

      Yay! Can’t beat having a coupon. I hope you love them. Ironically, I have this planned for a future video so I won’t go into too much detail, but I will say…the biggest difference I feel is weight distribution and balance.

      Bought both the pro and park, the parks have that 1” heel rise which makes a HUGE difference for me as it helps you automatically position your weight on the ball of your foot, rather than you working harder and haveing to actively place the weight. Love the Bonts. Sad i didnt know about the discount prior to ordering

    I like the bont hybrids are dope! Also get you some Riedell 595s, plate of choice, with fan jets, that’s what I have!

      Woah, thanks for this rec! I’ve never tried this boot style but have wanted to. What are you primarily using them for? I’m definitely interested in checking them out.

      @@SKTSHT they are traditionally a speed skating boot but you can do everything in them, they are the most popular old school skate! Search …. Riedell 595, laser plates with fan jet wheels. Many of the artistic or jam skates think they are not for those types of use but are actually better than both of those styles of boots! Back in the day all old school skaters had 595s and used them for shuffling and everything else! They are the best skates ever made!

      Ohh okay. I will definitely check them out. I’ve been going to the rinks more often trying jam, so it’ll be really cool to see the difference these make. Thanks again!

      @@SKTSHT yea you definitely want to skate on these in a rink only …. Most people who skate will tell you that these skates aren’t the bizness… but they are all new age skaters in the early 80s to early 90s 595s were the best and hottest skates to own…. And still are! Check out a 595 boot, with a roll line plate and anabolix redline or hotline heirs with rebellion hubs which are the equivalent to the old school hugger fan jets! That skate will run about $1,000.

    What did you think about the skates? How did they fit? I'm highly leaning for some but I'll probably get the Prostars as I'm a broke bish lmao. But I'm also hesitant at the price for parkstars with just getting into skating.

      lolol! Nah, skates are expensive so I hear you lol I wouldn’t wanna break my bank right away either.
      I actually really love the parkstars. I tried them out the next day at the skatepark and have almost never looked back at my original park skates 😅 The parkstars just felt really natural. The sizing was perfect for my foot. The only thing I’d say is that I do stub my toe a lot more in these and actually feel it…not fun. Depending on your timeline, you can get really lucky and find some secondhand parkstars in almost perfect condition from eBay, Mercari, etc. for almost the same price as prostars.

      @@SKTSHT I forgot about Mercari so you had me on there hunting lmao but I'm impatient so I went for the prostars for now. The sizing has me sweating but I measured three times so hopefully I'll be right. I'm too set on these because I read they are roomy and better for wide feet so I'm excited! I'm glad they turned out great for you, I've heard good things about them so far. But thank you for answering and everything, I'll probably use the recommendations mentioned in the future. :)

      Anytime! I’m excited for you :) Fingers crossed about the sizing! I’m sure you’re going to love those just as much.

      Sorry! I don’t realize I miss certain info sometimes 😅 I’m a size 9/9.5 US women’s sizing

      Bonts sizing doesn’t go by shoe size per say…they have a specific sizing chart based in mm….I’m a ten in women’s but a 7.5 Bont skate is what I would need… so don’t go by your shoe size specifically

    How did you figure out your size?

    • @SKTSHT
      @SKTSHT  3 года назад +2

      BONT has very specific sizing, so I traced my feet on a sheet of paper. Then, I marked a line at the tip of my big toe and another line at my heel and used a ruler to measure the distance. I did the same for the width of my feet too. They base theirs on millimeters, so I had to convert from cm to mm. If you go to their sizing chart on their site, once you have the length and width of your foot in millimeters, you can put in the numbers and the calculator will tell you exactly which size to get or if you should contact them for custom sizing. I was nervous about the sizing, but it worked out perfectly fine. Sorry, very long response
      lol
