My first jeep was an '81 CJ-5...SKY BLUE, 258 C.I. straight 6, 4 speed manual. I bought it in January of '83 with 12,000 miles and it was CHERRY!!! That's one vehicle I wish I'd never sold! Thanks for the memories.
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU EXCELLENT BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS FOR ALL PULLING TOGETHER, FOR YOUR FRIEND, WOW, PLEASE ALL CONTINUE TO PULL, TOGETHER, SHARE, LOVE, BE KIND, AND JUST BEING YOU, YOUR THE BEST, THANK YOU ALL, FOR SHARING WITH ALL OF US OUT HERE.
What a great group of friends! Can you please tell me what color the "blue" is? That is just such a perfect color for this Jeep. Hope all are doing well. God bless!
Sir I going to go ahead and take the opertunity to educate you. Some people can afford to go out and buy really nice jeeps with all the latest and greatest 4 wheel drive gadgets to get them out of any situation imaginable and if nothing else they just look cool driving down the asphalt. I have nothing against these people. Someday I wouldnt mind being able to buy a nice new jeep like yours with all the creature comforts. But this wasn’t one of those types of jeeps. This is a Willys, and this is what we call “Built, Not Bought”. You buy a new jeep cause it’s practical, you build an old Willys jeep for the heart and soul of both you and the jeep. This particular jeep had a third member involved that didn’t even know it till I gave it to him completed. This jeep was built for his heart and soul, to help keep him pushing on while he battled cancer, and to help lift his spirits when he was down. The mustache is a big part of his life and who he is. It was a very sad day when he had to shave his own mustache because it was falling off due to chemo. This mustache is going to do more work in it’s life than any of the gadgets on your jeep will ever do. The mustache will stay. He is doing great by the way, pushed through some sketchy times but he’s back to his same old corky ways.
