Just a note, I used to watch a certain cleaning/family vlogger for a few years. She began her channel as a normal mom, like the rest of us…as her popularity grew, she became more and more unrelatable. Her house was perfect…it was like watching someone clean a house already cleaned. She overdid decorating. It looked ridiculous. I bet she had a dozen Christmas trees. Sadly she became so into her own ego, that she blew her channel up, and threw away a small fortune. Let’s face it, you have kids, dogs, and normal things happening. Don’t ever feel apologetic about being real. There’s a lot of real women out here who enjoy knowing they aren’t the only ones struggling to keep control of all the moving pieces. Hugs judy

I’m always shocking myself with how easy and quick some tasks are that o had been procrastinating on.
Timed myself with folding, hanging, putting away a load of laundry. Under five minutes. Why do we put it off??? Five minutes and magically disappears. Poof!!

I feel like we would be besties. I'm a homeschool mama of my two autistic boys. I struggle to keep up with cleaning house. I have fibromyalgia, high heart rate, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, migraines, major depression disorder, anxiety, sleep apnea, and chronic nausea. I totally feel like I'm falling apart at 38 years old. I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been binge watching your videos. You're an awesome person.

Since I’m from a country where home schooling is unusual and kind of frowned upon, I wonder whether schooling is something you can «farm out» to gain some breathing room to take care of you? In your shoes, I’d have more than enough to take care of my health. Best wished going forward 💕
Amanda, I'm so sorry you're having so many health problems. Accept help anytime someone offers. Don't let pride stand in the way of accepting help. Give a specific task for someone. Laundry, preparing a meal or house cleaning are examples. Also, accept offers to care for your children. You need time for yourself. Blessings to you and your family. 🦋
I agree about decorations. I like putting things up but hate taking them down and storing them. I’ve gotten rid of so much as I get older. It’s very freeing actually!

White ball pants, yikes. My sons both had white baseball pants, and our older son had white baseball pants! This was in the days before Oxy or Clorox2. I pretreated with paste of dry detergent and Pine Sol then threw in more detergent and Cascade dishwasher detergent. I don't miss those days, lol. Neither of our folks lived near us, so I never had time our kids were with grandparents. I wish they'd been able to spend time with their grandparents and had gotten to know them better. I know your fear of having an accident while being treated, lol. Alas, it's a real possibility for me at 72, lol! Just so you know, I didn't notice the clutter in the background. I'm so thrilled to see you and a new video. Sorry you haven't been able to film. Know that it's a judgment-free zone here. I think vacuums were made better when you bought yours. I'm also trying to resist the urge of spending money through the month of October. That way, I will have bills paid off and more money to spend for Christmas. Although yesterday, I had to go out and buy air filters for air vents and an indoor, outdoor light for my laundry room. Then while I was out, I went to Goodwill and Dollar Tree to get some home organization items and cleaning supplies. I do have a wish list which I will pray about and hold until after Halloween. I'm also starting a new diet, so wish me luck!
Needs vs wants. For your no buy challenge..Unless it's needed for your survival, don't buy it. Make a list before you shop and stick to it. You can do it!

I keep my various holiday decorating to the entry. The entry table, mirror, possibly the rug. It keeps the cost down and gives the idea of what time of year or holiday it is. Christmas I do have a big tree in the window.

Just my opinion,but the reason I watch your Chanel is because you are real. You’re almost everyday struggles are me. It’s just nice to know sometimes that I’m not the only one that things happen in life.
I think trying to make everything look and work perfect is more exhausting.
If you put in a honest effort that should leave you content in you’re heart and home.

I only hang a fall wreath on the front door for now. Then two weeks before Thanksgiving a few things on the dining table. You look good. This heat has been bad-too long with no breaks. So glad for the rain in Central Texas and the end of triple digits in the weather!
Honestly I think my kiddo had every every toy under the sun when she was little. Our house was tidy and clean when we planned to have people over but that’s it. Every other day, it was what it was and that was not clutter free or tidy. There is no way my house would’ve been how it has been since 2020…and I’m fine with that.

I live in the UK and used to have a friend (now gone) who lived in Kentucky. Every two or three years I used to visit for a couple of weeks in October. Watching your vids reminds me so much of those visits and I always look forward to seeing your face on my RUclips page.

Shannon, you are not the only one who gets injured in weird ways. Girl, I broke my foot.... stepping off a curb. Weeks in an air cast running to the hospital where my husband had just had a quad bypass. It was a special time. Very thankful we didn't have a standard!
You're not weird. I never decorate. I haven't rearranged my living room in 5 yrs. I have electric recliners so the way My furniture is set up is the only way I can do it with the outlets. I just replaced my Bissell vacuum after 14 yrs. I bought a shark navigator lift way, I love it! We don't expect perfection❤❤. Life is real!!

I enjoy your videos so much. The smell of the seasons is so powerful so your diffusers will do what decorating doesn't. But if you want to decorate without commitment, go all natural. Next grocery shop, buy pumpkins and set them on your porch. Or set a small pumpkin on the island. It doesn't take much to create a mood.

Praise God for Hubbies that are willing to do dirty jobs for their wifies. My husband is super sweet to clean to the kitchen most every evening. It is the Bain of my home tasks to constantly tend to dishes. I'm so grateful for that task. It started when we were dating and he just never stopped.
I've never been good at, or liked decorating. Last year I minimalised decorations. The tree & mantle for Christmas, and a string of lights with leaves, a couple candles, & a tripple stacked pumpkins on the mantle for Halloween. I love it, no mess, no stress!!! I sit in the dark in the mornings & drink my coffee with the lights lit up. Great way to wake up. Im going to start washing my fruits & veggies, since you made it look so easy. I always wash with water & scrub apples with a brush. Your way is better for us, and easier. Thanks!

I outsource chores I don’t like either 😂 I just had my husband dust and deep clean our couches over the weekend because I knew I would keep putting it off lol. Love that they’re so willing to help.
The oxyclean odor blasters has taken the funk out of some of our clothes that never seemed to smell clean. I also soak thrift store clothes in a bucket or the tub w the oxyclean then wash as usual.

I'm not sure how I found your channel, but I have really been enjoying the few videos that I've seen so far. You don't have to worry about holiday decorating - it makes cleaning so much more complicated, in my opinion and before you know it, you have to put it all away again. I'm 70 and I have done the decorating, sometimes to extreme, and when I look back at it, it was ridiculous, because we don't entertain, so it was just for us. A lot of work and working fulltime. I have my regrets. After donating almost all of my Christmas items, and moving to a smaller community, and into an old house, I realized I would like to do a bit of decorating. Just a bit. We had 2 cats at the time, and they were pretty well behaved, however, 2 little kittens were abandoned in our back yard and after capturing them, taking them to the vet etc. we ended up bringing them into our home. So, I got what I wanted - they have so much energy and the other 2 cats don't really appreciate more felines in the house, decorating has become a moot point. I do a bit - a very little bit, on my mantle. That's it. My house is decorated with cat beds, towers, pods, toys, and lots and lots of cat hair.

There’s a business like that! At my old job we hired a company to come decorate for Christmas, we rented the decor for two months and than they came and took it all down at the end of the season. I was shocked when I found out about it! 😆

I feel you so much on the corded vacuum. I have a cordless Dirt Devil that's great for quick pick ups but the corded Shark is unmatched. You're right though. Getting it out and plugged in can be an accomplishment all on its own! Thanks for being here and showing the real stuff. ♥
I have four boys who all played baseball ... if you have a pressure washer ... spray them down and pre treat them and then let the hubs pressure wash them :)
Also, put the grapes in a hand towel and roll them and they will separate from the stems.

I’ve recently heard to put your fruit in the salad spinner to get the water off after washing it. Haven’t tried it yet though. I thought you were going to because that green basket looks like my salad spinner basket. 😊
It is the basket from my salad spinner. I sometimes do use it if I am just washing one type, but drying it out on a towel is less labor intensive when I have a bulk amount 😂

You are really doing yourself and your children a favor by switching to more organic options! A tip i would say, though is dont reuse the bags the produce came in, because dirt and whatnot can still be in the containers and bags and undo thr washing you just did! ❤

Honestly and truly - its healthy and heartening to see you being real - and getting on with what actually needs to be done - rather than fussing with cleaning off the counters so everything is perfect before you do the job you have to do. I will be discouraged from getting to a task because I want everything to be perfect - then the job doesn't get done and the place is certainly far from perfect. Sometimes life it just keeping ahead of the tsunami of everything that needs doing and hoping you have the energy just to keep up 😊

for baseball pants.. try power washing them.. and or use norwex whitening laundry soap.. i hear ya.. we dont play baseball but we are in 4H... and Yes I wanna talk to the person who thought white shirt and white pants to show dairy calves was a great idea.. lol I have tried it all to keep those dairy whites white... and the norwex works and so does powerwashing them.. ( at a distance not trying to ruin the pants... ) try it and let me know how it works for ya...

Awwwww your hubby loves you ❤ I decorate for fall but I don't do much. I put a little something on my kitchen table, the bar, my entertain center, & coffee table. I throw a fall blanket on my couch, put fall pillow covers on my couch pillows, & hang a fall wreath on my front door. I have 2 scarecrows that I put on or around my front porch. I think that's plenty.
I do less all of the time. I won’t store it! Pretty much my front door and dining room table.

My sister used to take her sons pants and hang them up in the car wash where you are supposed to hang the car mats. And she scrubbed them with the long brush and took them home to rinse and dry! 😂 who thought white pants were a good idea??

When my brother was in high school, he played football and he had a white uniform sometimes so my mom would soak his uniform in powdered cascade and then wash as normal, it came out bright right!
