I've been very happy with the Burnout. I do a 2 step process. I put boiling water in the mug and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I pour out that water and pour in my tea, which I have with milk. From there, it stays at a great temp for drinking for >4 hours.
The lid to the tumblers has a design flaw. The coffee sits on top of the parts inside the lid and dries out. When you wash the lid chuncks of crap come out. It wouldn't be so bad if you could take it apart and make sure it's clean but you can't. Rocket scientists made the mug and a kindergartener designed the top. I have ordered the Flip-top lid let's hope it's better.
Hi CB! Yes I've tested out this new mug as a prototype. This mug also does what it says it can do. You can drink your coffee right after it's been poured into the mug. There are lots of pros and cons to that mug design that I am going to do a full review on as well, but I am waiting for it to be out of its first revision stage. I personally felt it was still too heavy, but the mouthpiece was much better!
@@BeanHoppersCraftCoffee Are you referring to the 12 oz mug? I want to buy my mother a coffee mug that keeps her coffee warm but also isnt heavy as she hates that. Thats why i looked at the 12 oz vs the tumbler/14 oz mugs which looked gigantic. If you have any recommendations for the best coffee mug (for use in the AM at home at breakfast and around the house) I would greatly appreciate it as her birthday is coming up!
I understand why it has no views... she does a review without actually doing anything. Nobody wanna hear just talking. Look at the best youtubers, they also dont just sit and talk.
My best guest is it used the phase change of paraffin wax melting point is 48° to 66° C (120° to 150° F). So the hot coffee melt the wax taking heat from the hot cofee then while hardening it slowly give its heat back. Like when ice melt the water temperature stays at 0° C ( 32°F).
Hi Gaburley. Thanks for your comment. I have not tried the Ember mug. I have heard of it though and perhaps I should pick one up! We had a decaf subscription but there did not seem to be a big call for it, so we discontinued it. Once we grow we'll likely bring it back, but it wasn't cost effective for us quite yet :-)

What about the new 2.0 mug style ? It says “instant drink ability” on it now and it’s an actual mug not a tumbler

is that the 12oz mug or the 16oz mug size?
12 oz
The 14 oz. mug has a more comfortable lip. Im drinking it right now.
Seems nice, I have the Ember but the burnout is a mug I will try. Have you reviewed both?
What about decaf subscription

I bought one of these mugs. I made coffee at 06:30am. It was at a drinkable temperature at 10:30am. I regret buying it.
It’s so hot right???? I like mine at cooler temperatures 😊
