I've been using my 20oz Zojirushi for the past 3 years and I love it! I took it on a 3 day car trip from NY to CO. Keeps coffee warm for 6+ hours and continues to do so!!
The review is good and all but, the most important question I have... why on earth is the blue colour model not appropriate for the office? Hell, what kind of office are you working in where you need to be careful about the design and colour of your mug?
Been using Zojirushi thermal bottles for years! They're great! I use one beside my bed so I don't have to go down in the middle of the night for water. Another brand to look at is Tiger. Quality is very comparable with Zojirushi, but Tiger has more options in terms of size and color :) One tip -- if you're using this for anything other than water, you have to wash the rubber parts in the cap separately so it won't smell.
Without question Zojirushi make the best travel mugs. $10-15 more than a typical good travel mug, and worth every penny. I have three in different sizes. As stated, amazing quality and heat retention. -Mine have the shiny coating which feels very nice and looks much better than pictures would suggest. -Its not just that the lid is easier to clean, it is actually possible to clean! The Contigo West Loop lid I found to work well but to be impossible to clean, I couldn't get into all the nooks. Not so here. -Stick with the traditional style. Zoji makes a wider, more typical-to-us style of travel mug, but I've verified that it doesn't have near the heat retention. -You'll need a bottle brush, the opening is not very large. Some have bare stainless steel and some have a non-stick coating. The non-stick is quite durable but I don't think it's helpful, both are good. -Lastly, it is possible to make sense of all the options they have, it just takes a while. I had to make notes!
“You can take oot the inner spoot” your accent really came through on that one haha. Thanks for the review - checks all the boxes for me though I wish the logos were blacked out as well!
I'm wondering if they have different levels of quality? I followed the link from this video to amazon and if you click on 16 oz the smoky blue cup is $25 but if you click on stainless steel instead, the smoky blue is $45. Is it the same mug or is one of them higher quality materials? $20 is quite a price difference being that there no mention of why it's more expensive anywhere in the description. One of the reviews said the inside of theirs was delaminating and showed a picture that looked like a chrome coating peeling off on the inside of the mug. I'd like to get one of these due to it's spill proof design but I don't want a cheap product and I also don't want to pay an extra $20 for the exact same mug I could get for $25 if there is no difference in quality.
Everyone else including the site says that nothing about the bottle is dishwasher safe, doing so will probably cause it to leak. Could you please point me towards where it says the cap and lid is dishwasher safe? Thanks
VERY. I have never had an issue with leaking. I'm confident throwing it into my camera bag right next to my laptop. The seals have also not dried out like some other thermoses I've owned.
Hi - Thanks for the review - can anyone comment on when drinking hot tea - do you burn your lips/ mouth? My current travel mug has a hole - and so you can't suck in any air when taking a sip like you do with a cup, so you have to wait till it's cool enough to hit your mouth dirctly. It looks like there's a fairly deep 'well' from which you drink... any advice much appreciated. Cheers!
I had a similar thermos. The only real solution is to not fill it completely with a hot water, but leave about 1/3 and fill it with cold water. Then you get a warm/hot but not burning drink. Since its a thermos it will keep the drink temperature for quite a while.
@@gasan6599 Thanks for your reply!... Much appreciated. I went for it about 6 months ago.. but not overly impressed tbh.. 3 hrs and the tea's just warm at best sat inside a warm car, so no worries about burning my mouth!.. but that small 'well' definitely helps when drinking within the first hour, when still pretty hot. 👍
People ! Very important question before I purchase one: does anyone know the height measurement of the 20oz with the lid removed? I just wanna be able to place it underneath my Keurig for brewing straight in, as opposed to transferring from another pot or whatever
From my understanding, almost anything with plastic receives a P65 warning... there is no plasticly smell / taste to this product, and the main body is all metal
I bought zojirushi mug from Amazon and only after 2 days the plastic part (the water seal) smells so bad i try to cleaning it but never change so finally i give up and send it back ,bad experience unfortunately.
did this mans just call zojirushi "a little company"? is that a joke, because every asian person knows zojirushi, they're like the rice cooker standard next to tiger LOL very helpful video tho!!
No longer faceless, this isn't a "vlog", and this is in no way sponsored. Not sure what people don't understand about the fact that sponsored videos must be disclosed under advertising law... see our newer stuff where this is done on partnered videos...
I want one without a flip top. I HATE flip top! Contigo is not easy to clean and continually builds inner slime and bacteria. Everything else seems to have a fricking flip top. Uh!
So many negative reviews on Amazon. Also it's listed on Amazon for like almost half the price of the companies website. I like the Amazon price better but idk if it's worth the gamble. Also not sure if this was a paid promotion or he gets a cut from the link is the main reason for the recommendation? Ugh it shouldn't be this tedious to find a decent thermos
Negative reviews on Amazon? The Canadian site has over 17,000 positive reviews! Check out some of our other videos, we are always extremely transparent and honest. This thermos is fantastic (hence why I have two)
@@LifestyleLab_ I appreciate the quickly reply on a year old video. I enjoyed the video. I'm just worried about getting burned on Amazon. Multiple reviews in the US complain about the coating on the inside lining wearing off and the products being fake. I'm mostly concerned because US Amazon shoes them starting at $22 US instead of the $50 on the companies website. Again thanks for the response!
Hmm, that does seem a little odd... I suppose I can really only comment on the quality of the genuine ones. I would certainly agree with wanting to avoid cheap knockoffs...
Ok its a video that heads "best travel mug" but yet comes on talking about a thermos ? Wtf ... then picks up a cantigo and compares it. No comparison there bud ones a mug ones a thermos . Nice thermos definitely but not a good comparison video
No it's a travel mug which also has the capability of a thermos when it comes to temperature control. it's in the same class as he would choose one of the other for a travel mug to take coffee to work. So it's comparable.
Zojirushi Thermos: geni.us/XOaQ2
Absolutely unbeatable thermos, available on Amazon

I guess he's kind of kidding, but also, seriously, if most of the accessories are black, the blue ones are not the best to go.

Enjoy! They're great bottles

My new job doesn’t let us use electric kettles, so I need to bring coffee from home. You saved the day, thanks!

Big fan of Zojirushi
I've been using this same tumbler for the last 18 months and there's no negative thing to say about this.
The funny thing is that this is Thai made BUT there is a Thermos flask which is actually made in Japan.
Great video. important detail you have used it for 5 years. I will be buying one. thanks.
Thanks! I got the pink one, hehe
Sweet
Nice
Just bought it 👍🏼 thanks!
Useful! Thanks!
Curious to give it a try

This video is over 3 years old, it’s very possible things have changed…
Awesome review! Liked!
Hey 👋🏼 Do know a way to test a Vakuum Thermos, if it has still a Vakuum in it?
Thanks
Sorry but there is no better thermos/travel mug than the Emsa/Tefal Travel Mug Grande. 500ml, 360 degree drinking, all day hot/cold beverages
Apology accepted
How spill proof is it?
VERY. I have never had an issue with leaking. I'm confident throwing it into my camera bag right next to my laptop. The seals have also not dried out like some other thermoses I've owned.
Mine is absolutely bomb proof

This has a spout style mouthpiece so you can get air in with each sip you take

can you tell me if the lid release button is made of metal or is it paint imitating metal?
It was metal on this version
Are these made in Thailand different from those made in Japan?? Because I have bought the same but it is made in Thailand!!
I bought a Japanese market one and it's made in Thailand. They're all made in Thailand. Thermos has some Japanese made ones.
They look very good, I shall have to see if they sell them in the UK.
Link in the description is for UK customers as well :)
Hi! Thanks for a great review. I ordered a 20 oz mug based on your video. I hope I will it work for me. Great job!
People ! Very important question before I purchase one: does anyone know the height measurement of the 20oz with the lid removed? I just wanna be able to place it underneath my Keurig for brewing straight in, as opposed to transferring from another pot or whatever
You need the 12 oz one for that. I have a kerig and a 12oz zojirushi thermos mug.
Took it down south. Is that Detroit for you?
Lol, Cuba I think is where I was referring to
The zorijushi has a plastic lid that will break if you drop it. Stay away from it.
looks good but almost £80 for smoky blue in amazon, yikes.
Is this 600ml?
I read that the product has a p65 warning, how bad is it?
From my understanding, almost anything with plastic receives a P65 warning... there is no plasticly smell / taste to this product, and the main body is all metal
Do they come with handle straps?
No, no handles / straps are included
I've had two and they both leaked...
I bought zojirushi mug from Amazon and only after 2 days the plastic part (the water seal) smells so bad i try to cleaning it but never change so finally i give up and send it back ,bad experience unfortunately.
Is it safe for hot liquids?
Yes absolutely, thats is what it was designed for
did this mans just call zojirushi "a little company"? is that a joke, because every asian person knows zojirushi, they're like the rice cooker standard next to tiger LOL

I hate faceless vlogs. This is obviously a sponsored flog too. Movin on.

👍😉
zoji"roo"shi or zoji"ru"shi?
I believe I was actually incorrect and it is in fact "Zoji-roo-shi"
Close the lock, and pull the cover with your hand. You will see that the cover can be opened relative easy. That is not a good mug. (My opinion)
NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash it.
This video is over four years old. They were machine washable at that time.
It's pronounced like sushi. Zojirooshi.

77 pounds lol
Yikes, must be a 3rd party seller in the UK right now
