Easy Pour Over Coffee with the OXO brewer
You’re making the coffee wrong if you’re getting sediment from this pot as I use this pot daily with italian coffee & have never had sediment & really am surprised you did.
whats the difference between the Delongi Alicia Moka Pot vs the Bialetti Moka Express Moka Pot? which is better in terms of brewing and taste?
Thank you for the great video! I appreciate you! 🌹✌️
Mine is a Jata 300 from Spain, almost identical except everything is aluminium, but, it says Espresso Coffee Machine, candvI don't see the difference with yours 🤔
That little round disc is actually placed under the coffee to cut in half the room in the filter basket for those who don't need to make an entire pot of coffee. Using the disc, you'd put in half the amount of coffee and water.
White paper filters are bleached.
I understand why it has no views... she does a review without actually doing anything. Nobody wanna hear just talking. Look at the best youtubers, they also dont just sit and talk.
Zero fun. Overly complicated.
What grind setting do you use ? I like dark roast. I just got this pot and trying to find the right grind
Thanks a lot for the info, especially about the water volume in ounces. L/S/C
@TigerJon02 1 second ago Avoid Ninja coffee makers at all costs! We have owned one for two years and it is on its way to the dumpster. I have never been so disappointed in an inanimate object in my life. First off, when using K-cups, the lid doesn’t seal well, so when a cup finishes brewing the machine spits coffee all over the machine, cup, and countertop - grounds included sometimes! Second, whoever Ninja hired to design the thing has hopefully been relieved of their duties and is no longer employed with Ninja. Prior to this piece of garbage, I have never owned a coffee maker that operated if you forgot to place the carafe under it (you know where this is going). Unfortunately, people get busy and forget to place the carafe under the maker after it finishes drying. We also own a Ninja air fryer and blender - great products. Avoid their coffee makers like the plague!
This is a genius device! I bought mine at Starbucks awhile back and have been browsing RUclips for a helpful tutorial. Your presentation is perfect...clear, friendly and concise. Thanks for posting!
Just what I was looking for..simple to the point...
Nice try, keep at it
I love that you’ll send me an awful product that will ruin my favorite thing of the day, morning coffee. (I’m totally kidding if it got lost in text form 😊)
Please don't brew espresso at 16-18 bars of pressure. haha. 9-10 bars is plenty.
WOOOOH COSTA RICA
Very helpful
Something is wrong. The coffee bed doesn’t look right. There’s no grounds on the bottom of filter, looks like the water where straight through not extracting the grounds. Usually it takes 2:30-3:00 minutes to extract that amount of coffee.
Thanks for the demo ; better than the company demo !
What’s the best way to clean the permanent mesh filter ?
Fill the basket with fine ground dark roast and put an aeropress paper filter on top of it. Fill to just below safety valve with boiling water and tighten top holding base with a towel, turn it on, and it makes 1 awesome cup of wake up juice.
The only bad side is that it doesn't keep the coffee hot , and the jar doesn't seal.
I moved in with a person who likes coffee but never had a good maker. This is the best machine and so easy to use for anyone.
Nice video fun and informative
Excellent demonstration. I’m ordering this . Thank you so much.
I liked your presentation.
good review
"It's clearly marked, I cant even read this" 🤣
Can you tell me how many hours you did for your cold brew, the beans and the amount of scoops you choose? I tried 12 scoops with the 20oz water for 14 hours and it was bad, I have good beans, but maybe my grind was too course or maybe the dark roast beans were not a good choice. Help!!
Yeah, I believe the portafilter LED symbol is for when you want to manually dial in, according to the reviews I've seen.
Nice video!
Terrible presentation!! get up to speed before you attempt to showcase a 300.00 coffee maker.
Thanks for being such a sweet and kind person ❤️
She did a fine video! Where's yours so I can criticize it?
Espresso is 9 bars and above
Thanks for the great review. Can you dispense hot water for tea or soups in this?
Yes. Just don't add the coffee obviously.
Where can Inget the Chart??
Can you compare the espresso grind with oxo and your espresso machine grinder? I bought the oxo grinder for the espresso but I just want to see how it is different from other grinder
Can I please have a grind chart! That is genius! :D
sure! Send me an email with your address, or I can email it to you... but the printed ones are easier to see. email me at beanhoppers@gmail.com 🙂
Won’t you have more liquid to drink?
yes, if you add water you'll have more liquid to drink. This will dilute the flavor it it's too strong for your liking
Nicely done!☕️
I’m gonna to order one today because of your video. Thank you
Have fun with it! Thanks for watching 🥰
Melinda, also am looking for demo of the pourover mode using the pourover adapter. I also like pourover coffee when the weather turns cold here in the Midwest (Indiana).
I can't find any reviews of this machine that demonstrate using the Iced Coffee mode. Not even on the Breville channel or website.
Hi George. Are you referring to the cold brew option? It’s actually an awesome feature and easy to use. It just doesn’t yield enough in my opinion. But it turned out lovely. Perhaps I should do a video on that and link it from this one.
@@BeanHoppersCraftCoffee no i misspoke i mean the over ice mode.
I just bought one 2 months ago cause I got tired of the mess of making espresso and chasing the elusive perfect pull. I do kinda miss my long blacks but so far I like this machine. I wish you had demonstrated using the Over Ice mode because I use it to make iced coffee following the James Hoffman recipe, 60% water and 40% ice, 9:1 ratio, 300ml water in reservoir, 200ml ice in receiving vessel. I do not brew into the thermal carafe instead I brew into a Mason jar or my old Starbucks iced coffee pitcher. I'm not sure if not using the carafe impacts the brew strength. So was hoping you had tried it.
Hi George, I actually did not use the over ice brewing method, and I probably would not be the right person to answer what works best because I really dislike iced coffee. I think it's always bitter. Something about the reaction that happens when hot brewed coffee hits ice makes it that way for me. Even if I cool it off first. Hot water extracts all of the positive compounds from your coffee, and often times some of the negative compounds. When you put it over ice, it essetuates that, and I don't like it at all. Cold brewing coffee is a much better way to get cold coffee. Pour cold brew over ice and it's magical!
@@BeanHoppersCraftCoffee I like traditional cold brew, too. But depending on the coffee I sometimes want to taste the intricacies of the bean, aka taste notes and cold brew, as you eluded to does not extract those taste. Find James Hoffman RUclips recipe for Iced Coffee (aka Japanese iced coffee) he explains it much better than I do. I realize the precision brewer BDC455/450 will do cold brew but like you said when I make cold-brew I typically make a double batch at least 32 oz and the precision brewer is limited to 20 oz maximum for cold-brew. So when making cold-brew I typically use my Mason jars and make concentrate that last up to 7-10 days. I also like sweetener in my coffee so when making cold-brew or iced coffee I make homemade simple syrup because granular sugar or stevia don't dissolve well in cold coffee. Thanks for the video and conversation.
great vid
Loooove the video. Especially the explanation about espresso.
Nothing like the pic to this video
The only thing is that the little cover that you get in the packet is to actually taped the coffee, the more tight the coffee the better results you get.
No is not, if you check the instructions you put that piece first and then the coffee in case you just want half a tank
💯
good info video thank you.
If you add more than half a pot of water (e.g. 30 oz) and select to brew half a pot, in the classic setting, will it brew the full amount of water added to the tank or will it only brew a predetermined amount for the half pot and retain the extra water in the tank like the single serving types? Thank you.
It will brew the amount you select whether that’s a half pot or a cup. The rest of the water remains in the reservoir to use later. It’s a unique feature that you don’t see I’m very many coffee makers.
@@BeanHoppersCraftCoffee Thank you! Unfortunately, that's a con for me as I prefer to have precise control of the amount of coffee I wish to brew for the variety of use cases. Going from 25 to 50 oz is a big jump. I'm now looking into others such as the ce251. @15:15 "I've had better". Which automatic drip coffee maker would you say produces a better cup of coffee?
@@ForeverYoung007 I truly prefer the breville precision brewer! It’s got so much control! You can set the temperature. The flow rate and the bloom time. It’s great 😊
