As someone who has a lot of love for the GX era (even if it does have it's... problems), this is such a great way to have a Battle Box setup for casual game nights with buds. 8 decks, ready to go, just pick your favorite character and play. The fact that you can also pull some decent trade bait from the secrets is a nice bonus too.
I've never bought real Yu-Gi-Oh cards before since I am poor and I live in a country where I wouldn't have anyone to play with anyway, but man this box is like the ultimate GX nostalgia pack, and I really want to buy just for the nostalgia!
Very exited for GX Speed Duel box. I got my preorder in. I have like 300 new sleeves just waiting. The Battle City box is still awesome as well. I went and collected all the missing Secret Rares as well. These cards and sets will have good value in the future as well. I’ll be keeping a few sealed cases as well.
I play Crystal Beasts on Duel Links, and let me tell you, it sucks ass with only 3 spell slots, but that skill card allows me to summon Hamon a lot easier, so I choose to run him on it.

Yeah, on the secrets that was exactly what I told them in the survey they sent out. I don't like the Speed Duel emboss on the cards - the text in the first edition spot would be more than enough - but I specifically pointed out I loved the quality of the Secret Rares. Especially considering they released at a time when every other product was basically trash out of the pack. Melty plastic sections on the Collector Rares, complete trash """"""Premium"""""" Gold Rares etc. Was a breath of fresh air with quality similar to OCG cards.
tbf the only monster I don't see ever being summoned with just the one box (without basically committing seppuku) is Cyber End. Like, you got the regular Cyber and Proto but you're still missing one. Would've been great if we had a Zwei as well. I know that's what the Skill card is for but that being the only way to pull out your ace while Overdragon is an Overload away from being summoned. Idk, it just seems weird
I doubt that dasher will sky rocket I seen a few openings of this box on RUclips and everyone has gotten the secret rare dasher. If they do raise the price of dasher people can just get this box instead

They didn't change Emerald Turtle's effect, it's useless in Speed Duels given there's no MP2.
its cause you can use speed duel cards in the tcg in duel links it has no effect

Speed Duel cards can be used in the main game though so that's meaningless unless you don't play YGO at all.
