"we also have a lot more cheerful songs"
*"your grandpa died"*
Haha I meant the melody 😂 it’s funny how a lot of the more cheerful songs are the ones with the most honest and serious lyrics. Tyler even references this in Not Today.
@@verylittlesuccess EXACTLY, the songs and the lyrics often contradict but it makes for such a complex emotion which everyone loves.
Ahaha I just wanted to comment about this pantaloon part
"when you were 9, they said he. had lost his mind"
@@raptoryz you have learned way too soon you should never trust the Pantaloon
they NEED their own documentary like, yesterday
the closest thing to a documentary weve got is the ode to sleep music video lol
How about like, no
@@MajorNutsack ?
@@MajorNutsack uh why
I think the word you’re looking for is biopic
I really like that you show us the songs as you reference them
Thank you its something I will make sure to do in the second part!
I was there in April 2012. This girl I had a crush on was obsessed with them & posted about the show, so I got a ticket, not knowing that show would change my life. Never had a experienced a concert experience so genuine and personal
DID YOU GET THE GIRL???
@@DustinSmith796 nah, she ended up getting pregnant in college & dropped out. She's happily married to another guy now with another kid on the way
I love that Tyler says "YOU got signed by fueled by ramen" he understands where he is and who helped him get there
We are all in this together ||-//
man that made me tear up watching
Smart ass...
Pretend I spelled touche correctly.
Awesome.
Nice to know when he says after performances "we are twenty one pilots and so are you" it's not just a quirky thing.
I’ve been a fan for 4+ years, but I’m still going to watch this.
I've been one for 8 yrs lmao. still watching it tho
we also have here much more cheerful songs like "the pantaloon", "your grandpa died when you were nine they say he had lost his mind" this was just so funny.
I didn’t know a regional at best vinyl could get that expensive, I got mine from my sister after she stopped using her record player, she said she got it for around $50
Wow! You got to keep that safe!
My neighbor has one. But I'm 98% sure it's fake. The cover looks faded and low quality. And the tracks aren't in order
true Twenty One Pilots fans could listen to the taco bell saga for hours

I remember singing the line “here’s to the Mexican, who made me my food” 10 or so years ago at the pool and my mom got super mad 😂
@@draftiez1428 me gusta~~
And we do
Noooo,,,
I had no idea regional at best was hidden. I listened to the whole thing on deezer when I first got into TOP
i found a regional at best vinyl at my local record store. ive never purchased an item quicker
Btw for those who don't know what is a pantaloon..
Pantaloon is a character in a play that is going to die during the play.
Basically the whole purpose of a pantaloon is to die.
actually in "theatre culture" a pantaloon is a greedy or foolish old man, originating from the Pantaloon character type in a Harlequinade, referring to the song's themes of getting older and "losing your mind"
@@mcgfn Hmm I learned something new about that subject.. Thank you
@@mcgfn interesting..that’s not the definition I got from the dictionary lol. Think I’ll go with yours though since Self-titled was quite a theatrical album tbh.
I still remember the first day I heard twenty one pilots, little did I know they would become so big!
It’s been 10 years since I started listening to them best band hands down
Most of the songs on NPI while yes talk a lot about suicide, also deal a lot with Tyler’s relationship with God. As do something like 75% of his songs
Their rendition of Time To Say Goodbye has always been such a hidden gem. I've always loved it so much and more people need to know about it.
Nice one dude filled in a few gaps there for me.. A 51 year old 21 pilots fan😁👍
i almost started crying when trees played and the tago bell saga started playing… 😭😭
I remember working at Journeys ~2011 and they were on one the the "Music Video Playlist" DVDs that were passed out by corporate. "Holding on to You" was the track on that DVD that introduced me to TØP
I think, second reason why RAB "don't exist", beside it's role in discography, it's his sound. Most of the songs sounds like demos/mixtapes. It's just doesn't fit in standards, in a bad way. Also, if you cut out from RAB all future Vessel's tracks (+ Lovely, but I don't count all from Vessel's Deluxe), it become a very solid strong EP, I'm personally listening it just like that.
Yeah I think that’s the way you have to look at it at this point I don’t think we will ever get a full release of regional at best.
@@verylittlesuccess at least, if it happen, we can do a playlist with remastered tracks from Vessel, and with all unreleased stuff from RAB. For some reason, I think TOP could do it even official, on their page in Spotify and etc.
"we also hear much more cheerful songs like the pantaloon"
Cheerful song the pantaloon: your grandpa died when you were 9.
Reginal At Best was still available right after Blurryface came out. Hands down their best before the folklore created itself.
If one listens closely, they can still hear it incorporated in every record. Nicely done gentleman.
This is amazing! I love how you took the time to do this!😎 Keep going don’t give up!
0:21 yo i did not get the joke behind that until I watched it in this video 😭😭😭😂
Alternative title: who is Josh Dun and does he exist
Part 2
Nope, he doesn't exist.
I've actually been a fan of them since January 2010 a few days before they became super popular been a fan ever since then
the real ones still remember TB saga and Coconut sharks in the water. True classics of this band, althought TB saga belongs to early pieces of already very talented Tyler Joseph. Like i knew all of this u mentioned, but still i havent watch videos like these about them in AGES so its nice to see it again lmao
Performing national anthem before playing basketball 👏
August 14 2007 was the day i was born…thats crazy
Damn
@@fadeadxo1328 oh yeah you can say that loud feels like i am getting old and i am only 20 xD
So you're younger than me
One of the few bands that Iike the vast majority of songs they produce. Truly one of my favorites
I love this band more than anything
A couple of the points in this video were most likely lost in translation over the years and probably aren't entirely true, but this is an overall solid timeline.
Well done. Thanks for sharing!
I used to have a hard copy of regional at best, and I wish I knew what happened to it!
Came from reddit. This is really good!
Thank you for your support !
Great Video :) but since you had unknown songs in there like going down, you could've also mentioned the Whittaker feature with Tyler on the album clear which came out 2014 I think :). This would've rounded it up a bit for me
I love these guys!
This is really good
Thank you very much Poppy 😊!
They were on espn game day predictions, osu vs msu from their home town
Great video
Thanks !
So you're telling me in "Formidable" when Tyler sings "fast forward 13 years now, don't know what it was but somehow we made it" he's not talking to Josh, because the lyric wasn't written any later than 2021, only 10 years after Josh joined the band. Is he singing to the band? Curious.
I feel like Formidable is being sung to twenty one pilots-the music, the band, the support of family and friends, and the clique-everything that is twenty one pilots.
No he’s just talking to everyone in general who has been a long for the ride
I thought it was about his daughter???
“Fast-forward 13 years now
Don't know what it was, but somehow we played it out in reverse”
Wow, I feel lucky to have each CD if they truly are unavailable.
twenty one pilots saved me.
I have a digital copy of regional at best, if anyone wants I can put up a dropbox with it of something
I'd love that
Yes please!
PLEASEE

7:22 this is rlly sounds like “redecorate” song
Like the same beat
none of "time to say goodbye" sounds remotely similar to redecorate. even just the percussion is completely different.
The ending gave me chills
The first clip tho 😂😂
Every true emo kid does know the taco bell saga haha
6:11 I love that album

where did you find that nick was the merchandise distributer? i did not know that, but i cant find that anywhere!
at the halfway point of this podcast/interview Nick himself talks about merch in the band:
soundcloud.com/21pilotspodcast/e10
its a really interesting interview I recommend listening to the whole thing the same guy also interviewed Chris if you are interested.
Been a fan since 2010
10:40 pretty sure it has been revealed that tyler thinks that this album was just for show merch on the recent vessel 10 yr stream?
Nice vid dude.
Thanks!
who’s back after everything that just came out
this video is so good, thank you!!
1988 actually
I DIED AT THE BEGINNING!!! 😂
Making me cry laugh
God the amount of cringy comments here I swear
I dont think people understand that Vesel IS regional at best
It isn't. RAB was before they were signed, and the label and them decided to release only some of rab as vessel. different
I don't get what you mean by this, I would just love to hear your reasoning
@@mcgfn when they got signed they were told to take it down and recreate some of the sounds. vessel is the closest to an actual release of RAB
@@rroselandd vessel is a better mastered RAB, same songs, same sounds just under a legal contract for money.
@@luke-tx4zx Regional at Best has nine tracks that are not on Vessel. Only six of the songs from Regional at Best were remastered for Vessel.
*watches video even though I know more about them than I do about myself*
How are you able to have kitchen sink track? I can’t believe I’ve never heard it! Can’t buy it anywhere. Not on spotify. FBR shld get over it and release it.
it’s on Spotify in Vessel as a bonus track 😂
Taco Bell Saga is my new fav song, sorry The Pantaloon..

Is it MCLOVIN the first guy with Tyler? LOL

Hey y’all I am doing 21 pilot reaction vids. Would love to see my channel grow as I talk about my struggles with mental illness and working in the mental health. Much love to you all. Stay alive 🖤

You sound like David Bennet lmao.

It's only the first verse in the pantaloon that's cheerful the rest isn't that cheerful sounding
What’s cheerful about “your grandpa died”? lol
@@inept9166 sounds cheerful, as the subject is about when he brings it up in the video itself
I remember the piece of slushie

Josh Dunn ?
he said it technically doesn't exist. rab was just for gas money 😭
But they also had much more cheerful songs like the pantaloon... Play song.
.. first lyric: your grandpa died
I'm a diehard fan. For real 😳 I have been around for a while. I'm 55yrs old and have never been a super fan in all my years. I can say now that I am. I just need to say I miss the broken Joseph. This new stuff feels like pop. Trench was so full of the things that I feel on a daily basis. Fear, love, doubt, insecurity, love and sorrow. I miss you Joseph😔
I honestly think this album is so different because of the changes in his life and his happiness and it seems like this one is focusing more on the future album and lore which I don’t mind because I feel like this next album is going to be even better than trench and still have those amazing lyrics that have always been there
Lets get this one straight, you miss when Tyler was fighting everyday for his life and was alone and screaming at the top of his lungs for Jesus to save his life? You are nothing close to a fan of this band if you cannot look past your own selfish desires to keep this band to yourself and just be happy for their success and wellbeing. Fucking unreal that someone could even say that they miss when Tyler (or anyone at all) was "broken". You need a serious mental evaluation.
@@user-mv9vg8nc5o i 👍
what is wrong with you. no fucking "die hard" fan would ever think like this. for real 😳
@@mcgfn exactly.
i love TØP |-/
What happened to the old band
If your referring to House of Heroes they are still around today. there latest album came out in 2016 called Colors. and in December 2018, they played a ten-year anniversary show for their 2008 album The End Is Not the End.and Josh even showed up and went on stage to play drums during the track "God Save the Foolish Kings"
@@verylittlesuccess I love House of Heroes!! Saw them for the 2018 The End Is Not The End show. Did you know…they are doing a “Suburba” album anniversary show this winter in Columbus!!
Sure, that dude on the left did all of that, but what about the guy on the right?
Where's the part where they sold out?
Is there nothing he can’t do?
I'm not gonna watch this unless that's video of drunk Brendon telling tøp story
(Of course I'm gonna watch it anyway)
You don't understand what Trees is about
They don't understand what a majority of His songs are about :(
