Ah that is so nice to hear. Happy that this film takes you to that feeling. Ive felt that with other films and thats a reason why I make things like this. So that means alot. Thank you
Beautiful! 0:11 the sund rays and the backlit hair look fantastic! 0:43 the sparkling water reflections look incredible! That good old red-golden glow of real film.
The film gives a nice feel to the image but I don't understand why the sprocket hole is in the picture and it would have looked neater if the frames either side of the active one were not visible.
@@Schneeeulenwetter right on! Definitely good to know. I will. I dream of spending like a month revisiting all the super 8 I’ve shot over the years. Gonna focus on this summer. Thank you for the rec
@@lumbum_ Beautiful work! Are you getting your film processed and scanned at Pro8MM? Do you notice a massive difference between your 4k scan and others? Have you used any other super 8 cameras along the way and is the Canon 814 your favorite? How are you recording sound? Thanks! :)
@@LauraSponaugle Yes! I go through through Pro8mm. Ive heard mix reviews with their scanning. Origins Archival I hear is really great, but they mostly do 16. Personally I don't really notice that much of a difference between 2k and 4k. Other than seeing more texture within the grain. Which is nice but sometimes not worth the price jump. Hope that helps!
This is such a weird nostalgia for me. Never been to US but it is so calming for me and the filmmaking is perfect! Love it:)
