I think it would be great for that. Just make sure if you plan on editing the footage that your device is capable of editing H.265 (HEVC) codec because that’s what the Action 5 pro uses.
@@JeremiahMcintosh thx. You might want to listen to your video with headphones. Your audio was only coming from one side while your sons audio only from the other. Until you turned off your mic then your sons mic came in stereo.
I did notice that in stereo mode, it recorded him on the left and me on the right until I turned my mic off, and then his audio went to both. I have to play around with it some more but maybe I had a setting wrong. What’s kind of nice about it though is I could turn either his or my audio up or down after the fact.
I just tried my Rode Wireless go 2 mic plugged directly into the Action 5 Pro Cameras USB C port and it worked perfectly so you don’t need the Audio adapter. Thanks for the suggestion!
Dji & Insta are leaders in the action cameras,I have the 3 & gp11,really have no need for the mic so just wait to see whats next with them,GP is falling behind, theyve become the fat cats & are an arrogant company that doesnt listen to customers
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generosity! I greatly appreciate it!
My wife and I are looking for a good camera for mountain biking videos.

Man I thought I was looking at Al Bundy!!! Nice video, great thumbnail 😎💯
That thumbnail is crazy why u gotta attack me like that 😂
Awesome setup really makes for a high quality video thanks for sharing 😊
Have the mic mini. The 5 arrives tomorrow.
Nice! I’m thinking about getting a mic mini to try.
Please share your thoughts on low light scenarios! Thanks for your great reviews!
Thank you! I still need to do further testing in low light but so far I’m very pleased with the results compared with my old GoPro.
Thx for the video. Why is the audio mono when both micros are connected?
I believe I had both of them set to stereo in this test but you can also set it to mono if you like that better.

go buy the Osmo Action Multifunctional Charging Handle and really be amazed
I really want this setup
It’s pretty amazing how well the Microphones work directly with the Camera!
Wait, they said you can connect the Rode wireless Pro by connecting USBC to USBC cable. Is an audio adapter needed?
Hmm 🤔 I’ll have to try this and get back to you but I have the Rode Wireless Go 2 mics not the newer pro model.
@ Please 🙏🏻 do!
