Great video! Also if only the bike wasnt so expensive it looks great! Missed Oli and Si in the video though. Those 2 probably would have won it. I bet Oli could have put down that wattage for 5 minutes ans Si for 4 atleast.
I thought the bike with trainer is like $1200 which is cheaper than other options, especially not having the wear and tear on your expensive carbon bike.

Are you allowed /able to make a video dedicated to the recent sale of GCN to the founders??? That would be brilliant, because the information has been published and it would be exciting what it means for all the GCN youtube channels and employees.
If you weigh 63 kilos, you gotta hold 410 watts (6.5 W/kg) for one hour. Those numbers are why these pro riders are so rapid. It's not equipment, it's their sustained power.
Bike looks pretty cool but as it seems to have no cassette, am I right? Wouldn't a belt drive be less noisy and more durable? Just my 2 cents... The Rest of the video is impressive. I wouldn't be able to withstand 10min at 6.5W/kg...
I would keep up for much longer. Because from the start the Peloton drives very relaxed. Hiding between the other riders in the field and let myself be pulled from the drag along. so i do the first two hours, not just two minutes.
After the last GCN Tech fiasco... thank goodness they got Hank in there to build the bike with his mechanical expertise. I'm sure that if Ollie had been present for this challenge, he'd echo my sentiment.
I'd be more excited if there were built-in side-to-side and fore-aft rockers along with vibration modes for different surfaces. It's the same setup we all have with our own Zwift setup, except Zwift play is built into the handlebars. Big whoop. Zwift needs to go MUCH further. Better yet, build more online roads and forget new income streams for a change.
Things might be changing because the GCN founders bought GCN back from Warner Brothers recently. However, a well presented, entertaining 🚲 advertisement is much better than a boring 🚲 video, and the GCN presenters can't get fed purely by eating the bugs stuck in their brilliant smiles after their daily double imperial century ride.
@@Mr.NotImportant-qu5rx My issue isn't that they have sponsors [it's great that they have them] but the nefarious way they advertise the sponsor into the show, they need to be more upfront about such as stating "We like to thank our sponsor Zwift for lending the bike".
@@barrybkopicz2845 Different strokes for different folks. Or one man's trash is another man's treasure. Or a matter of taste I guess. I can hold 6.5/kg for all of about 10s according to Zwift (slightly over for less, slightly under for longer, although it would be less now I've gained some weight!). I like the look of the Zwift bike - and the price - but already have a KICKR setup.
For me 6.5W/Kg is around 400W. At my best I could hold it for almost a minute, right now I’m getting back to fitness so think even 30s would be asking a lot
I've actually been looking for a bike to go on my trainer so i don't have to keep setting it up. It's just a shame you have to buy it with the kickr and not separately. Or is it that it doesn't work with other trainers?
How about the eight new routes, FTP test, and a bunch of llamas? Yes, there are Llamas in Zwift now. And don't forget the fly catchers. There's more to come. Just wish they had put this out before the price change rather than after.
not surprised Alex came out on top... I was able to stalk him on a recent gravel ride in Kent for the first few km then he just rode away before I got the chance to catch my breath and ask for a pic. Next time....
never ridden with a power meter so I have no concept of what these numbers mean. But what it seems to be is how long can I go flat out... I'd be happy with 30s (@500W)

Held 7.4W/kg for a minute quite recently.. got no idea how long I can hold 6.5W/kg because I've never tried to pace myself with that target power. (And I'm not going to lol. Sounds needlessly painful) Probably 2-3 mins right now. My 5 minute intervals are around 4.8-4.95W/kg.
Unfortunately I dont look very much like a cyclist (unless you check my calves), i would need to hold 650W even at my lean weight. Under a minute for sure.

I did it in ERG mode and held 630W (6.5w/kg for my body weight) for 25 seconds. I felt like I was maxed out on cadence. I should (dumbly) try this again, but without ERG mode. Dang, that hurt.
that swift bike doesn't look very aero! ha ha! I can actually hold that level of power for... well, negative numbers! the sort of numbers like I have in my bank account:)
