I bought one and have had it for less than a week so it is still very new to me. That said I think it is great to have a fixed set-up this time of year, instead of having to put the road bike on the trainer when the weather is terrible, and then back on the road when we get some fair weather. Luxury, yes, but at a somewhat affordable price, and it should ensure that I keep up my cycling volume and intensity throughout the winter months regardless of what the weather does. So far I have been happy with the saddle but have only done up to 1 hour rides so I'll have to see when I get going on longer rides. I am not mad about the handlebar/controls geometry and seem to struggle finding a grip that I really like when on the hood. I suppose I will get used to it after a few more hours of riding and maybe I need to fine tune the position of the handlebars too, which might solve the issue for me. Those things aside I really like the Zwift Ride and would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants an affordable fixed indoor trainer set-up.
I've got the Stages SB20 smartbike and love it. There are many benefits of having a dedicated trainer. Giant owns Stages now, it will be interesting to see what they do in this space. Giant apparently makes a lot of the commercial spin bikes.
I own the SB 20 and bought the ZR when it died. I don't think Giant will support the bike anymore. Stages owed $14mil to Giant and it would be a liability for Giant to support this brick in the future. I hope I'm wrong
Ive had mine two weeks now & love it. The Mrs has even started zwifting now because this is so easy to swap positions for her.
@@karlj711 that’s the best thing about it for sure. Was your seatpost really hard to move at first though? Had to grease this one to get it sliding
Thanks for the review. I am seriously considering getting one soon.

@@_J.F_ thanks for such detailed feedback. I got more used to the bars and tape after a couple of weeks so hope you find a comfortable set up soon too

Had mine around a month, love it, though agree with bar/controls, just don’t feel quite right. 👍🏼
Top marks for keeping going through an FTP session. That’s dedication for you. Good luck trying to get your new computer though. 😉
@@MalcolmMorris-l2y haha, cheers mate
If you turn left or right with those controllers you can cut the corners quicker than everyone else. Nobody seems to have noticed that .... yet.🤔😆
@@AHURKY yep you can make up some time that way eh!
I noticed that, great when descending fast👍🏼😁
If it's a keeper I think you might need a Wahoo Headwind review 🥵:)
@@altern8tive I normally open the velux window but it was raining
Why would anyone need a computer if they had a bike?
