- A couple of varieties new to our garden. This is our first tasting. These tastings are very subjective. Good tasting or not so great, I encourage you to grow and judge for yourselves.
Note on the Druzba: They taste much better fully fully ripe. Very ripe 'Druzba' has sweeter taste and flesh is not grainy.

Never Enough Dirt great job !
Wow you are so good at growing tomatoes~~! Obviously you are doing something right~!
Totally love the beginning with the kiddo! Both tomatoes look very pretty, but for me , I am leaning toward the Kelloggs breakfast 😊
Brian I love the intro, the jazz is so relaxing. Your tomatoes have been SO successful this year! I can see a big difference from last year. MASSIVE, beautiful tomatoes, gotta love it. Your channel is growing fast just like your garden, keep it up.
It has been another good tomato year. It is also nice that they are producing lots to be able to share. Looks like we have this phase of tomato growing locked down. The next goal is to grow "production mode." We'll look to grow some plants and have even MORE tomatoes to share!! We can thank my wife for suggesting a different music style. Thanks always for your visits and encouragement. It's nice to talk garden and video creation shop with you. Take care and happy gardening, Lucas.
👍
Thanks for the review of the Kellogg's breakfast tomato I am growing this year hope mine turns out as well as yours did
Thanks. I wish you many nice Kellogg's Breakfast tomatoes. It is a good and fun one to grow.
I've grown Druzba for a couple of years and they're great. Very meaty and, yes, on the acidic side - but that's what I want on my BLTs.
There is a tomato for every situation. I am glad you found a good one for your BLTs!
Hello from zone 10b in South Florida. Really enjoying your videos and those tomatoes look amazing!
Greetings and thanks from zone 10b from the other side of the country :D
Great harvest and those Kellogg's breakfast tomatoes looked huge.
Thanks, they took a while to get to size. At one point, I didnt think they'd get big.
Hello!!!! I’m so glad I found you. I don’t know if you remember me, but I closed out my last RUclips page and started up another. I couldn’t find you to save my life. So glad I did. I can’t wait to binge watch and get caught up with what’s been going on with you and yours. GREAT VIDEO
Hello! Welcome back to YT and the channel, Shani. Yeah, I remember your channel. I am a Canon nut so I remember how you got a new cam for your channel. Glad you found us again. I look forward to seeing how your sugar babies are doing.
Note: the citrus series is more on the enthusiast side so they may not be as entertaining. But do watch the end of episode 1 of that series (the visit to Rainwater Ranch) ;D
All the best, --brian
Thank you I hope my Breakfast tomato plant will do well. :-)
Thanks for the info
Absolutely!
Hey Brian is the Druzba an heirloom? Are you growing any hybrid tomatoes this year?
Hey, Lucas. The Druzba is an heirloom. With so many heirlooms to grow, I cannot remember the last time that I grew hybrids. This year I am growing a couple of hybrids-- the Suncherry Extra Sweet and Sun Gold.
Funny you should ask about hybrid tomatoes. The current tomato plants are ramping down on production and my transplants took a hit from the heatwave. With no plants to go in right away I am thinking about getting some hybrid transplants to put in.
I personally plant mainly hybrids with some heirlooms on the side. Heirlooms generally don't produce well for me, unfortunately. That being said I was really successful with Pink Brandywine (Quisenberry strain) one year. I grow them more as a novelty.
I hope you find some heirlooms that are to your liking and tastes. I wished that I had more intimate knowledge of your climate to suggest some to try. Hybrids are great for the reasons you stated. They let folks grow tomatoes where it is not easy to.
sharpen your knive :P
