This is so informative. Years ago I used to plant a new to me variety of tomato, but was usually disappointed in either texture or taste. Now, in my older age, I stick to the ever versatile Rutger tomato. I can preserve whole, juice, sauce and salsa out of them every year. And of course I will always grow the sun gold, another favorite. I will definitely have to try the BHN 1021 next year. Thanks for sharing your taste test and results. 🍅🍅

Thank you for this info. We only grow heirloom varieties and over the years of saving our own seeds we have got it down to 5 or 6 that grow great in our area and always produce wonderful tasting tomatoes. Our favorites are Black Krim, Cherokee Purple, Black Beauty, a beefsteak and our Striped Roma tomatoes which we grow every year. As for cherry tomatoes it's what ever pops up and volunteers. I do have several other heirloom varieties we like but usually plant just a few for a little variety.

I grew different varieties of tomato my self I don't think I have ever really paid much attention to the flavor of my tomatos except for the cherokee purple tomato that I grow to me It really has a good flavor

I'm not a fan of cherry toms either due to thick skins. I tried 3 varieties of the Dwarf Tomato Project this year and the jury is still out as no ripe ones yet. I've grown so many different varieties over the years. I love the flavor of Black Krim but it was a low producing plant for me. Next year I'm sticking with my favorites, Rutgers, Chef's Choice Pink and Box Car Willie. For your Roma replacement, have you ever tried Amish paste, Opalka or San Marzano? Thanks for sharing your taste test!

There is a variety doesn’t have much seed and the skin is very thin, (we can peel it when ripen) but I don’t know its name. Anybody know the name of that tomatoes variety?

Save the seed from the tomato you are eating on by washing away the gel and dry the seed on a paper towel. You won’t have to order seeds; you will have seed already. 🍅🍅🍅
