    Nothing against Othani, but blindly picking him is a bit silly.
    5 years ago, the best player in baseball was Mike Trout. Look at him now, we don't know if he'll play a full healthy season again.
    Mind you, He was 2 years younger than Ohtani is now.
    God forbid, Ohtani has some sort oblique or shoulder issues where he can't pitch or hit.
    That's why you pick the younger guys without the extensive injury history, like Witt Jr. Or Gunnar.

    Hoping Wetherholt, Walker, Gorman, Matthews, and Winn will be household names.

    I think the Mississippi Mudflappers would be a great expansion team. Or the Wyoming Windsnakes. 💡💰

    Nashville won't get a team, the city and state have said no to more public funding after they're paying for the Titans new stadium. Portland and Salt Lake City will get the expansion teams with the unfortunate East-West shakeup

    32 teams. Radical realignment. Eight 4 team divisions. I'll be the same format as the NFL. Maybe the elimination of the AL and NL as we know them, where perhaps the Mets are an AL East team and the Mariners are an NL West team.
    I also expect some radical rule to be a part of the game. Maybe the golden at bat. Maybe games are 7 innings. Perhaps the season gets shortened by about 30 games. Starting pitchers must pitch 5 innings or give up 4 runs before coming out. Anything is possible where sports leagues may be even more desperate for revenue.

      How does being more desperate for revenue lead to a shorter season?

    • @LDQBBQ
      @LDQBBQ 3 дня назад

      @joebarr725 are we sure getaway games in July are profitable? You could get rid of two weekday series per month. That means not paying player salaries, stadium expenditures, travel etc while creating a higher demand during the weekends when consumption is highest. There's also the health benefit of players resting more while not degrading their bodies making for a better product. Imagine buying tickets for Ohtani/Cole and expecting the match up to occur.

    I’m going to go with the team that has the most home grown player war over the last ten years. The Astros have a culture that turns decent prospects into all star level players.

    MLB will be unwatchable in 5 years cos of Manfreds meddling with the rules cos he's incompetent and he's running the game into the ground dude needs to kick rocks and his replacement needs to undo all the damage Manfred and Selig have done to the game in the last like 30 years

    Babe Ruth won 94 games as a pitcher. Shohei is in the 30’s. How can you say he didn’t pitch as consistently as Shohei. Talk about recency bias. Babe Ruth did this 100 years ago. Think about that. Stop saying Shohei is better than babe Ruth. It’s unintelligent. Of course every sport and every athlete gets better and evolves over time but no one will ever dominate their era of baseball like the Babe and #2 is Bonds. DO SOME RESEARCH

    Todd Frazier and takes are ridiculous. The overhype of continuing to say Ohtani is the best ever. Stop it. He’s not by far.

    • @wackumsticks
      @wackumsticks 3 дня назад +5

      He is the best ever. You don’t need to logic through it. The sky is blue. The sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening. And Ohtani is obviously the greatest player we have ever seen. Doesn’t matter if he gets hurt. It’s already a closed case.

    • @JorgeAC1
      @JorgeAC1 3 дня назад

      @ he’s not the best ever. The rules were changed to make it easier to steal bases. He wouldn’t have ever had the fixed 50/50 season. And he’s only pitched partial in his career and hitting wise only maybe 3 good seasons. So stop he’s not the best ever.

    • @exia0616
      @exia0616 2 дня назад

      @@JorgeAC1if what you say that it is easier to steal now compared to previous years before rule change, then why dont everybody do it? If it is easy then sure but for me stealing bases is an art, everybody can do it but not everyone can excel in doing so.
      Certain players rely on their legs/speed to do it like Elly Dela Cruz and bobby witt jr. And others rely on reading the pitcher's motions and analyzing the hell out of it like what ohtani did with the help of their 1st base coach now manager of marlins, I think it was jomboy who did a breakdown on how ohtani is efficient at stealing bases. Afaik Elly has what about (afaik 64steals in 80 attempts) 80% success rate in the regular season in swiping bags but shohei is 59 steals in 63 attempts.
