Just want to say , as someone who has been mixing live music now for over a decade, I love what you have done with your instruction program a friend of mine showed it to me. It's so amazing to have something like this for new people to learn. I had a few people who "knew" and helped me get started but had to figure a lot of this out on my own. It's so exciting to see something out there that is in one place and lays a great consistent foundation!!

It seems easier to do all this for the sound in the room. We have trouble getting the Stream mix to sound as good. We follow your stream set up in yout "X32 Mastery" and "...Made Simple" training but it's difficult to to hear becuase our media workstation is in the same room and even with good headphones its hard to isolate the stream mix. Any ideas on what could help?

Recording tracks and doing some fine tuning via a virtual soundcheck can be a great way to dial some things in on your live stream mix. This allows you to do it any time during the week as well.
Or if you need to make some adjustments on Sunday Morning, try muting your PA for a minute while dialing things in. The only thing that you can't dial in correctly with this method is ambient mics. And you're entire team has to be on in-ears so that they can continue to hear themselves.
Another thing you can do is run a "test" live stream that's unlisted, while the band is rehearsing. That way, you can go view it on a device in another room and make changes. This is great to do anyway because you can hear it the way that people at home are likely to hear it.
These 3 methods are great for fine tuning your baseline mix. Obviously you don't have time to check it that thoroughly on Sunday mornings, but as long as your using a post fader mix like we recommend, and using the techniques we teach in our training to create a consistent mix from week to week, then you won't need to make very many adjustments to your stream mix once you have it dialed in.
