Love that they're not concerned with having the latest and greatest of everything. Even for a church that size, money/budget matters and they're not just throwing it around like it's nothing. Such a cool example to set!
For reals bro.
Just out of curiosity… what would be the problem with wanting to get the latest thing?
@@jeremyrobinson9310 I don't think there's a problem with wanting the latest, I just don't think that should be Concern #1 and outweigh budget concerns etc. I've seen people make decisions based on that alone and spend more money than they should on things they don't really need
@@budget-church-livestreaming well said, thank you for making that more clear! I’m pretty sure I got what you were saying. But a lot of the times I see people hating on bigger ministries because they do have the resources to get the latest and greatest! Definitely not what you’re saying. Love your channel btw! 🤙🏿
@@jeremyrobinson9310 no problem at all, I definitely could have been more clear from the outset! I think if your spending aligns with your reach/impact, there's really no problem. Sometimes there's just a "keeping up with the Joneses" mindset in the church world, and I love an example in the other direction. And wow, thanks for the kind words!
Johnathan is the man 🤘🏻And the entire COTM crew is doing amazing things for The Kingdom!
The fact that they’re broadcasting in 720p is bananas! They prove that you can be great without the latest and greatest.
Right?! Of course their 720p cameras were pretty high end.
This was fantastic, yes bring back seeds was fantastic and still remember watching and what was said in a lot of what the speakers shared.
Thanks COTM for taking the time to share behind the scenes. Loved it!
I've been here and its just as clean as you see it now, every week! The level of excellence is inspiring! Thanks for the amazing tour John!
Skylark with the W on this install 💪 Marcus and everyone over at Skylark are the best.
Good stuff. COTM children’s ministry is definitely my roots in spiritual upbringing going back to the late 80s and early 90s. My church to this day still utilizes their classic children’s curriculum from the mid 90s - mid 2000s.
I remember going there for a kids ministry conference back in 2000. Loved it!
That was SO good!!
Loved the back stage even more that the booth
They have an amazing back stage area.
Love the content man! Please do more of these tech tours.
Tip: I’ve been using Wondershare Recoverit for the past few months to recover corrupted data on SD cards and it’s saved several of my projects.
L Acoustics, the most expensive speaker in the world. Wow… 😊
Roe Videowalls, L Acoustics, MA2 Full-size and Ross and Barco E2s, I’d say that’s super high end 😊👌
j'aime beaucoup vos vidéos
Thanks for showing us around! Appreciated the video. I’m curious about the different attitudes towards autotune and pitch shifting. While autotune is criticized for compromising authenticity, pitch shifting the snare drum is accepted. How do we reconcile these different perspectives and maintain trust in the musicians and singers?
Great video....a Lot goes on behind the scenes that no one ever sees
so true!
The system integrator in me wants to know what the BSS DSPs are used for and what the AMX control System is used for. 😂 Great video, I loved hearing why they do what they do!
Not sure about BSS but the AMX is being replaced next month so I didn’t show it. I believe they are moving to QSYS
low key shocked they are running Monitors from FOH at that scale. I would have thought they have a dedicated MON engineer with a dedicated console for that size of production. I guess they're keeping it simple.
Let me know if you ever want to nerd out on all the band gear!
Ethan! Yes, we need to do a follow up at some point :)
I’d like to see that! COTM rig rundown! Do you guys still have a CP-70 up there?
First time I heard of the baby powder trick on the wireless
❤
Kind of wished they would have gone into the cameras more and what they are using. But other than that, amazing setup.
I'll have to go back when they upgrade the cams :)
@@RylandRussell ah, ok. Do you know what kind of cameras they are using currently? I'm looking for some new ones for the church I work at, as the ones we currently have are breaking down.
What software was he using to see battery levels of the mics on the computer
I assume it’s sennheisers version of “wireless workbench”. They have a free one called wireless system manager.
NICE content bro from uganda Calvary chapel Entebbe
What SPL RTA software do they run?
What are the tiny lights they have on the back wall?
I linked to them in the description. They are by Martin.
Lol vocal authenticity!!
Baby powder and scary "Jesus"... This is a great video.

Jealousy
@@JacobSanchez2010 lol
4:40 Totally fine that he and his church have their opinions, but the shot at auto-tune for not being "authentic" is gross. Everything else on the topic was well stated IMO.
I was fine with everything until he said other churches "need" it. Haha
100% agree lol. "other churches need it" was such a pretentious comment. Pitch correction is standard in almost every live venue/tour production, no matter who the singer is.
it's not used to make bad singers sound good. it's meant to help correct minor pitch imperfections in already good vocalists.
Comments like that reinforce the stereotype of these big churches having an elitest mentality.
untaxed church cheddar
New American Bible Translation---Mark ch. 5 vs. 1--And Jesus went up to Jerusalem and picked up a microphone in the Holy Church of Itself. He then demanded a full light show and awesome speakers so He could do something really cool to inspire worship in His people. And He said to His disciples, go and build great church buildings with great sound, but remember outside of those walls in the every day world there is nothing to inspire people to worship. So go and buy big sound systems, use tithing as a club if they won't give, and tell them I'll punish all the non-givers. This do in My name forever.
While this church is modest in it's system, most mega churches go much further. Then they brag about it as if Jesus told us to go do all this and then they say He spoke to them and told them to do it. It's a disaster.
This is a rock concert not a Church.
Disagreed. Excellent worship music, yes. But this is the church God has used to draw me & my family SOOOOO much closer to Him. We are VERY much a church that loves our Savior and are doing the best we can to lead more people to a relationship with Him.
@@CC-pw4ud Yes, these style Churches have probably done great things for your family. My problem with it is that it is modernized in its aesthetic and as we all know the modern world is by far one of the most depraved and degenerate periods in human history. These Churches mimic the bland and abstract architecture of the modern world. They remain worldly, whilst traditional Churches like that of the Orthodox Church remain timeless and beautiful for generations.
@@CC-pw4ud it makes Church like a trend to be popular and the moved on from when a new trend comes.
@@thecossackcrusaderofholybr8448 Respectfully disagreeing.
In other words, if you are using autotune, your vocalists can't sing.
So I'm good at keyboards but just sayin' that if I was ever on vocals, I would ask to have autotune for myself! I do know my strengths and weaknesses
