Love that they're not concerned with having the latest and greatest of everything. Even for a church that size, money/budget matters and they're not just throwing it around like it's nothing. Such a cool example to set!
@@jeremyontheconsole I don't think there's a problem with wanting the latest, I just don't think that should be Concern #1 and outweigh budget concerns etc. I've seen people make decisions based on that alone and spend more money than they should on things they don't really need
@@budget-church-livestreaming well said, thank you for making that more clear! I’m pretty sure I got what you were saying. @@jeremyontheconsole no problem at all, I definitely could have been more clear from the outset! I think if your spending aligns with your reach/impact, there's really no problem. Good stuff. COTM children’s ministry is definitely my roots in spiritual upbringing going back to the late 80s and early 90s. My church to this day still utilizes their classic children’s curriculum from the mid 90s - mid 2000s.

low key shocked they are running Monitors from FOH at that scale. I would have thought they have a dedicated MON engineer with a dedicated console for that size of production. I guess they're keeping it simple.
@@RylandRussell ah, ok. Do you know what kind of cameras they are using currently? I'm looking for some new ones for the church I work at, as the ones we currently have are breaking down.
Thanks for showing us around! Appreciated the video. I’m curious about the different attitudes towards autotune and pitch shifting. While autotune is criticized for compromising authenticity, pitch shifting the snare drum is accepted. How do we reconcile these different perspectives and maintain trust in the musicians and singers?

100% agree lol. "other churches need it" was such a pretentious comment. Pitch correction is standard in almost every live venue/tour production, no matter who the singer is. it's not used to make bad singers sound good. it's meant to help correct minor pitch imperfections in already good vocalists. Comments like that reinforce the stereotype of these big churches having an elitest mentality.
New American Bible Translation---Mark ch. 5 vs. 1--And Jesus went up to Jerusalem and picked up a microphone in the Holy Church of Itself. He then demanded a full light show and awesome speakers so He could do something really cool to inspire worship in His people. And He said to His disciples, go and build great church buildings with great sound, but remember outside of those walls in the every day world there is nothing to inspire people to worship. So go and buy big sound systems, use tithing as a club if they won't give, and tell them I'll punish all the non-givers. This do in My name forever. While this church is modest in it's system, most mega churches go much further. Then they brag about it as if Jesus told us to go do all this and then they say He spoke to them and told them to do it. It's a disaster.
Disagreed. Excellent worship music, yes. But this is the church God has used to draw me & my family SOOOOO much closer to Him. We are VERY much a church that loves our Savior and are doing the best we can to lead more people to a relationship with Him.

The fact that they’re broadcasting in 720p is bananas! They prove that you can be great without the latest and greatest.

In other words, if you are using autotune, your vocalists can't sing.
So I'm good at keyboards but just sayin' that if I was ever on vocals, I would ask to have autotune for myself! I do know my strengths and weaknesses
