good job - i'm jealous, your frame rails have zero rust.. while i was planning on installing these, i also has to weld some patches to have something better than swiss cheese to attach the AWR mounts to. One thing I didn't like though is that weird angle they put on the brackets.. can't stop but thinking their dimensions or bends are slightly off as they should theoritically be parallel and they're not, but making them parallel makes them too narrow for the frame... Can't wait to see the difference in cornering.
Sorry to hear about your frame. Yeah I’m not sure if they made the mounts at a wired angle for a reason. They sit nice a flush when they’re bolted down though. Seems odd though
@@wils_builds thanks, but i kinda knew it would be rusted it's the NB's achille's heel. I think I'm going to solve the fitment issues by cutting the outboard bracket and welding it directly to my patch panels. 4 out of 8 oem bolts broke off anyway (all the "outboard" ones) when I unbolted the oem supports, the inner holes are still there for locating the bracket. Also took me a bit to figure out which bracket goes to which side :) your video confirmed what I though would be correct.
Thanks for this. I am going to attempt to install these over Xmas.
Great idea using the Jack.
Glad you found it helpful! Good luck with the install. Leave a comment if you have any questions and I’ll try to help 🤙
