I am watching this channel for a while. All I can say is, this channel is a real example of not-to-do things. He has a very basic level of knowledge about the cars. Goes to cheap way, patches the issues. Especially this video is a very good example. What the hell you patch the oil pan, instead of replacing? Don't you know that the crack will extend by time regardless the patch material you have used? I do not even would like to talk about the gloves.

I agree. The time spent finding a white fender and getting the paint fixed will be an easy $1000 add to the value and wont take up that much time. Used car prices are going up and this one is in the sweet spot for the extra boost. Plus it would be another video that just adds even more to the profit.

Hi Randy. I've patched a few oil pans. Best results were achieved using Bondo fibreglass. Never leaked a drop over ten years. Everything else started seeping over time. Nice dog. When the forklift backed out the end of the fork hit the pan.
The holes in the oil pan are from the tow truck . The wheel lift is close to the pan and with the blown out tire it sits lower in the wheel lift . When it bounces it smacks the wheel lift and cracks the pan . The tow truck driver is supposed to put a small tire between the wheel lift and the oil pan to protect it
Great video Randy. I see the house is looking good inside. The Sonic will be a easy 4-4500. I don’t understand why you feel the need to explain your actions. I am a real supporter and enjoy the content. Much respect ✊ Have a great day Randy 👋🏼👋🏼

I think the car is definitely accepted and car is going to need a full tune up get good body paint and clean dealer shop cause everything with car is definitely worth it
Randy, The holes in the oil pans are coming from the equipment operators at the auctions....the pans get hit by the forks....seen it on many cars we pick up, they were fine when we inspected them then go to pick it up and pouring oil out.
*it's a Sonic, how much can a replacement oil pan cost? Just looked it up and you've got what the car is worth wholesale right now invested in it just with the price you paid for it. anything more you put into it and you're just giving away money at this point* There is only $200.00 difference between the car in excellent shape and good shape

The dealership I work for had a 2013 Chevy Sonic with 135K miles on it, and if I remember correctly they sold it for about around $6,000 believe it or not. Granted an actual dealership is different I know. But still. I think you could get a little more than 4,500.. I would say at least try up to 5,000, that being if you do replace at least the fender. The bumper isn't too terrible but if you find one paint matched for cheap then hey, might as well lol. Keep up the good work man!

Good video. Presentation is worth confidence when it comes to used cars. I have noticed you take consideration to mix tires on a car when you do your copart walk around. If there is a donor vehicle available, same color with an oil pan, I would get the parts , install them and skip the paint job. Either way good content and the pups are perfect. The little dog lightly chews on your had because he is happy to see you. Keep the videos rolling and save the Liberty...
Replace the oilpan, fix the small damage on the bumper and try to fix the fender a little, oilpan is the most important, Randy! Kepp it going and stay safe!
I think its worth a fender but not a bumper. Only if you can find the fender in a matching color. The bumper has average-looking wear and tear but the fender could damage the value a bit.
We use Flex Seal Tape on Rusty oil pans in the Northeast, Road salt eats pinholes in them, works great, did our Durango 2 years ago, has not leaked a drop
Hi Randy,we would repair front and rear bumper and most likely the fender as well, then just flash in the repairs would not replace the front bumper.Surely if its a clean title done up its got to be worth 5+.Here in the UK we would have got the keys done by an independant auto locksmith,a lot cheaper.I think the issue with the 350z video is that theres a lot covering bodywork on youtube, what you normally do is different to most.As for the sonic is it not a job for WB he will soon sort it.
I remember your old videos of you using power sanders and grinders without eye protection, and doing car repairs in flip flops. Now you are going through the car of an IV drug user without gloves.
Hi randy just replace the fender only. Bumper can be fix.safe money. What see is you like to wast money Getting detailed by shop .why not just clean it your self save $150.00.
I'd replace just the fender because it's a very visible eye sore and will likely reduce the cars resell value, meanwhile you can barely see the bumper's damage if you aren't looking for it.
Personally I'd replace the fender if a white one could be found, or, see if WB can repair it. The scuffs on the rear bumper can be addressed, but the front one with the forklift damage I'd leave it alone. Easily worth $4500.00 on the open market..(I viewed this with the firestick and couldn't comment, so here I am)
You should fix it because that equals more content and shows an improvement. I don’t watch these videos hoping you go, ‘screw it, I’ll fix it and sell it as is’. You could never make another dime on your flips & have a very successful RUclips channel, but I doubt you could make all your rent & car payments by just flipping cars. My point is that decisions on what to flip or what to fix should depend on the content you could make, not on the profit.
Years ago I sat in a Chevy Sonic at St Louis Auto show . I hate it the seats were uncomfortable . Granited at the time I was driving in 1989 Volvo GLE 😁
I'd replace the fender because that sticks out like a sore thumb, the bumper damage is low enough and minor enough that most people wouldn't notice or care much about it.
my experience with jb weld is it works well on stuff with no pressure except anything that has to do with gas. gas eats it away. oil pan repair it works great
The fender is worth replacing if you can find one in the same color for a cheap price. Honestly, other than that, just get it detailed and send it on it’s way. I bought a ‘13 Hyundai Accent last year around what you are thinking of asking for this, the most important thing to me was if everything worked and it was mechanically sound.
Definitely change the fender. Bumper if you find it, I could be replaced too. And maybe a new oil pan, it would give the car a long lifespan. And you still can sell it for $5,500 easily given the year and miles.
Replace oil pan and fender. Use plastic welder to fix front bumper. Should be able to get $4500. Replace cabin air filter and engine air filter. Check/clean spark plugs. Touch up paint on rear quarter panel.
Nice point on the time + content vs. cost. Still looking for that monetize option for my channel, and I'm not going to film anything just for bogus content. You're right, it takes far more time to film, edit and do the work than just do the work.. If you're doing something, no matter what it is, make sure it has a purpose! I can appreciate how you've helped Mike and Mike with their channels.. - (you need to diversify your friends) HAH.. You not only help yourself and your family, but others with great content become more visible as well!
Just fixed the the lady next door oil pan on her Sonic she is getting old and hit a curb was only 50 or 60 bucks for the pan. And it didn't take long to do at all did it in her driveway.
Also, those Sonics are pretty good little cars. I’m a Ford guy but put my 16 year old daughter in one as her first car. Once she gets done hitting shit we’ll upgrade her to something a little bigger and more comfortable
Watching the tachometer when the car was being driven for the first time looked like the trans wasnt shifting correctly, the rpms were way too high and stayed there for a while. But as it kept going to seemed to work ok.
You may hit up Pull-A- on SE 15th and Santa Fe in OKC. Granted, they do not have pictures of their cars, they show to have six Sonics on their lot. Good luck.
I would absolutely fix that fender and get the bumpers touched up. Easy 5k for sure, Autotrader is a good place to look at prices and I've seen one with 98k miles (It is a hatch though) going for 9k, and a sedan with about the same going for 4k, so I think 5k is a fair price, and take 4.5k as the lowest
Hole in pan is most likely from improper towing . If wheel bars are not set correctly on tow hitch . The bar will slap the pan as u drive over pot holes in the road.
The oil pan is 50USD new, that the first thing I would do. Also you should wear some heavy duty gloves when you clean the interior of a car that has needle...
he used 50$ for 4 gms and couple needles
Yeah, would def not touch that stuff without gloves....

We use Flex Seal Tape on Rusty oil pans in the Northeast, Road salt eats pinholes in them, works great, did our Durango 2 years ago, has not leaked a drop
Keep it up man, your videos are great!
You’re welcome enjoy keep video tapping love the content you tk and lucky plus melly keeps it real..
Excellent work and thanks for the awesome content stay safe and take care
My dad had that done on his '93 Town Car and it's been fine for a long time. Oil pans in those rust out when they see salt.
AAR HQ is really shaping up. Cannot wait to see the work in the back!
Great video,Randy, you are doing a great job!!
We have a 2013 Sonic and it’s the most reliable vehicle we’ve ever owned. I’d say it’s definitely worth replacing the bumper and fender, 100%
What see is you like to wast money
Getting detailed by shop .why not just clean it your self save $150.00.
I'd replace just the fender because it's a very visible eye sore and will likely reduce the cars resell value, meanwhile you can barely see the bumper's damage if you aren't looking for it.
I agree 100% with your oil pan fix, I got a transmission transfer case drain that is driving me up a wall.. what did you use?
Nice video Randy...enjoyed the little sonic
not gonna lie you kinda saved my life with this video... ty
Hi there like your videos! What silicone you used for repair pan
Thanks
Years ago I sat in a Chevy Sonic at St Louis Auto show . I hate it the seats were uncomfortable . Granited at the time I was driving in 1989 Volvo GLE 😁
I'd replace the fender because that sticks out like a sore thumb, the bumper damage is low enough and minor enough that most people wouldn't notice or care much about it.
my experience with jb weld is it works well on stuff with no pressure except anything that has to do with gas. gas eats it away. oil pan repair it works great
I love your videos man big respect from Iraqi man😊
The fender is worth replacing if you can find one in the same color for a cheap price.
But as it kept going to seemed to work ok.
controls to reset oil indicator is on blinker switch. & the sonic rides the best out of it and the other cars in its class.
Maybe it’s time to bring Pete inside and get him checked out by a vet too, you said he has fleas and he’s being injured or attacked as well
Nice job Randy. My channel is sooo random, I should stick to one topic.
And Randy thank you for putting out great content! Idk about replacing the fender. Is there anyway it can be pulled out for cheap?
You may hit up Pull-A- on SE 15th and Santa Fe in OKC. Granted, they do not have pictures of their cars, they show to have six Sonics on their lot. Good luck.
Sounds like your mic may have a bad connection brother. Love the video and Pete jr lol
Randy, have a great day. thanks for the video.
I would absolutely fix that fender and get the bumpers touched up. Easy 5k for sure, Autotrader is a good place to look at prices and I've seen one with 98k miles (It is a hatch though) going for 9k, and a sedan with about the same going for 4k, so I think 5k is a fair price, and take 4.5k as the lowest
tbh in this car it does make sense to change the oil pan as its very easy to change and im pretty sure you would find a used one for very little money
Hole in pan is most likely from improper towing . If wheel bars are not set correctly on tow hitch . The bar will slap the pan as u drive over pot holes in the road.
