Many white plastics will over time become yellow. I googled how to restore them and there were a few methods that didn't worked very well. Then I found out that some of the products I'm using in this video for whitening old plastic worked so much better at a fraction of the price.
This product can be used to whiten any plastic. Do make sure you use this product in a well ventilated space only!
And be careful for your clothing!

Next to being a great way to restore yellowed white plastics it can also be used to restore retro gaming consoles to their original color super easy. Update: After a second test the 12% Salon crème / Blond me crème is the winner, 90 to 95% yellowness removed without risk of uneven removal of the yellowness.

My daughter came home with a human skeleton made of plastic that had yellowed with age. The hydrogen peroxide got rid of the yellow cast and he looks like new!

great 👍 what did you restore from yellowing?
@@Detroit-Berlin Some outdoor antenna amplifiers.
They were grey with an ugly yellow/brown on them.
I also used a softscrub cleaner like "AJAX with bleach" to get rid of scratches and afterwards the regular bleach.
Both units ,one grey the other one white, turned out almost like new.

like I mentioned in the video this is possible as an alternative to sunlight but raises the cost and is a pretty cumbersome. 🙂
I thought the uv light is what yellowed my light covers?
True but it’s also the activator for the chemical to restore the yellowing.
