Hi Benett! Can you please help me with an advice? I purchased this 1.55x lens to use with an iPhone 15 Pro. In the package there is also its support that attaches to the phone, it works ok, but it covers part of the screen and of course also certain functions. I would like to buy a cage, specifically the SmallRig 4397 Mobile Video Kit, but on the website it says that it is not compatible with the SmallRig 3578 1.55X, nor with the adapter for their magnetic filters. Did you somehow manage to test the compatibility so far? Am I throwing money out the window with this cage? Thank you!
What do you use for audio recording? do you record external mics directly into the phone? how do you do that and keep the phone charging? I have been trying to find a way to do that and haven't had much luck.
I will be releasing a video soon on that, but basically you would use a Belkin adapter with 4 usb c ports. It supports phone charging and you could also plug the Dji mic for audio and am ssd to record externally.

Definitely going to consider this brand instead of PolarPro. I live in South Texas, and it can get very hot. I also use my iPhone 13 Pro to film my son’s soccer games. I’ve noticed that my phone will overheat in the Polar Pro case. I have to turn my phone off at halftime so it can cool off. Small Rig’s cage may help prevent the overheating. Thank you for sharing this product. 😃 👍🏽
I believe this is the most cheapest to achieve the “anamorphic look” as I did the same 😂 But I think this iPhone setup is only good for B-Roll, my next target would be either a G7 or GH5 with Sirui lens for my A-Roll 😊

Do you have a video where you discuss filters that can be used with an iPhone 12 pro max in a smallrig cage? Apparently small rig does not have those lenses. I’d prefer quality lenses that mount onto the cage, not a clip on placed over the lenses. And unfortunately Freewell Sherpa system is also not for iPhone 12 Pro Max. Thanks.

Btw, now that Filmic has gone subscription-style, a new video comparing the new filmic pro vs Beastcam, which I still feel is not quiiiiiite up there, mainly because it doesn’t have a «true» manual mode where I can lock down the shutter speed properly and just use iso and aputure (since it doesn’t have the «fake» aputure setting filmic has it feels kind of weird - but a proper test of them, and maybe latest version of moment camera as well, ir are there any other good, «pro» focused apps I haven’t heard about?
@@BenettGraezer Cool :) I *really* want to like Beastcam, but I’m struggling to get the same «flow» using it compared to Filmic Pro - not sure yet if it’s just me, but I miss small things like when I press a feature button in Beastcam like shutter and adjust it, and then adjust iso, it feels like beastcam is still doing lots of «intelligent» stuff with my image, brightening it up even though I want it dark, setting iso to 22 it goes darker but then suddenly brightens the image a tad - not sure what it is though, just doesn’t feel like I have the same control as in filmic, even though that has it’s problems as well :)

Great video as always. How did you set up the bluetooth button to work with Filmic Pro? For me it only works with the regular camera app on Iphone
At first it didn‘t work, however I found out that by enabling volume key trigger recording you can use the Bluetooth shutter.

Yes the filters from Smallrig are stackable, and you can use their magnetic nd filter on top of the anamorphic lens

It didn‘t work at first, what I did is enabled volume key trigger recording in the device setting inside FilMic Pro and that worked :)

Have you looked into the Beastcage? There lenses come with a varaiety of filter options.
