Interesting. I am a paramedic and might check that one out. It won't replace my XShears though and the question is, if I would need the other tools very often. When it's important, than it's always better to just use the dedicated tool which is somewhere in your truck instead of a downgrade variant in a multitool package. Might use that for edc though, there aren't that many shear-multitools actually and I never understood while people prefer the plyer tools.
Thanks for the review. Not a bad tool there. As an old street cop, would be a valuable addition to the rescue equipment carried on the belt. Funny, the only multi-tool I have is the original Leatherman from the 90's. I really am an old man huh?😂
Those shears are sometimes referred to as "penny cutters" and will cut through a penny (on normal EMS shears). Not sure if these will or but might be a cool experiment.
To be fair 30Cr13 isn't a terrible choice - very good corrosion resistance and decent mechanical wear properties, especially given the budget-friendly price.
I get asked a lot about the clothes I wear whilst filming 😆 That is the Wolfhound jacket from Helikon. They do versions with and without the hood. I hope this helps - ruclips.net/video/NzlAQI2WdE0/видео.html
Where is it made? That is, what's the country of origin? I'm not in the paramedic/fireman/rescue line, which surely has specialized needs, but for my purposes I can't think of many times when I couldn't get by cutting whatever I need to with a knife blade. Obviously scissors/shears are better for some purposes, but for EDC? A knife will do for me.
You can generally carry a locking blade (etc) so long as you can show "Good Reason". Using it for work is one possible example of that but certainly not the only one. Usual disclaimer: not legal advice.
Correct. That good reason can be argued by the Officer however generally if you're working or carrying this whilst dressed in your normal work clothes that definitely helps
I got one, and send it back. The blade could not be opened with one hand safely. They chamfered the thumb hole. Same with the saw. The ziptie cutter was not aligned properly so it would not cut cleanly with one try. The shears were not strong enough to cut fabric, the two blades would be pushed apart. It would take a lot of effort to get them to cut seat belt webbing. I sent it back. The design is great. The execution is not. Very cheaply made with low grade steel.
Hi there. My use has been purely for general EDC use. I appreciate I might not be able to test things to their true extent other might however it works well for my use. It's definitely a shame if it didn't meet your requirements though. I'll try harder in future to test things more for the nature they're intended
Hi Tony, hope you're well buddy. I hope you don't think I'm trying to mislead. My testing was purely in an everyday capacity and I found it worked perfectly for me. @@MoorlanderEDC I've broken Gerber and SOG multi tools but I've never been able to break a Leatherman. Usually when you pay for a name it's because of a reputation that's hard earned, Helikon, Barber, 5.11, Danner, etc.
@@MoorlanderEDC I recently bought the knifeless leatherman rebar and hook that up with my uk legal SOG Terminus or Real Steel lunar - the way things are going in the UK you don’t wanna get caught out by carrying something you shouldn’t be 👍 if saying the wrong word gets you a stint behind bars, what is carrying the wrong blade gonna get you?…
Is Nextorch the same brand as Nextool.? Pie On Ear..! Now we know why you are what you are.! Nevertheless, there is a cure for it. Stop smoking Turmeric.! With those multitools, Max Lvl aka The Maestro favourite sandwich would have to be Sandvik sandwich.
Nextool really had been bringing the innovation that Leatherman seems to have forgotten about
Informative Review. Thank you. 😊 Recently picked this one up. Best shears on a Multitool…cuts through everything easily. I need to get another one.
Right on! 🤙

But you have something others don't. Mileage.!
Looks interesting. Great video 👍

That might be a fun piece of content
A comment for the algorithm - also nice review
Thank you my friend 🤙 have an awesome weekend
Cool tool! I wish they used better steel than 3cr13.
That maybe my error if I put 3Cr13... It should be 30Cr13. Apologies for the confusion
@@MoorlanderEDC same thing, no?

How do I get the cuff key?
unlrelated to the vid, but where is that jacket from? thanks in advance

I think they're made in China

That would be a vary unruly way to use a handcuff key.🔑
That's a fair point, i thing it's more of a back up just in case rather that using it as your dedicated key
What's the jacket?
That is the Wolfhound jacket in DNC. Absolutely love that thing - ruclips.net/video/NzlAQI2WdE0/видео.html
How can a blade angle be 75 inches?
Am I missing something?
Ha ha ha ha... Totally missed that in editing 😂 seriously though? You've never seen a 75inch angle? You must be new to knives 😂😂😂
Is this stone washed anodization?
Not sure. I've checked and it just says stonewashed

What kind of sandwich did you say and what is on it?
Whatever is your favourite sandwich on @maxlvledc
👍🍻

I'm sure I'd like it more if they sent it to me for free.

That's why you go Leatherman or Victorinox first.
Much better than leatherman
I'd be interested to see a Leatherman with shears. Generally you're paying for the name with them though

Such a shame the blade is locking, no real need for it really, makes no sense
If I remember rightly, Nextorch have a world legal none-locking multitool. I'll see if they mind send one over
