    This is all of the copper pennies I have saved over the years. Obviously, any wheat cents, indian head cents, errors, varieties and foreign copper coins are not included.
    At $4.06/lb for copper, these coins are worth more than face value. If I ever decide to LEGALLY cash them in, I would make a nice chunk of profit.
    At worst case, even at face value, I have over $2,300 in copper pennies to be used like a savings account.
    PS: There are many people who buy copper cents by the pound to check for varieties and/or make into art. jewelry and even for home improvement projects (like flooring).

      Some 1982 pennies are under 3.1 g and some 82 pennies are 3.1 g so what's up with that

      They alredy broke a shelf in a closet lol one stream a frew years ago we heard a loud crashing sound in the backround it was a shelf in the closet full of Pennies that came crashing down shortly after that happend Charlani got up to to investigate what the sound was we all heard her yelling oh pennies everywhere I dont remeber what tream it was but it was pretty funny lol.

      I saw this once before I thought I saw six pallets of pennies down a hallway that was the first thing that occurred to me he lives on a slab or he reinforced the floor joist in his house but I haven't seen them again does what I'm speaking of exist in your collection if it doesn't maybe you're not the only one or maybe I was wrong which is the most likely to be the case

    Greatest video ever! I am on Robin in my 60s and I just started my coin collection. I was hoping that I could just look at a penny under 1982 and physically be able to tell without weighing them on a scale. Did you weigh all of those pennies on a scale to find out if they’re copper? Just gave you a thumbs up and subscribed. Keep up the good work.

    I'm doing the same thing. I never return copper pennies. only the zink. I do keep the wheat pennies separate.

    Rob, I know you check everything that comes through. How many special variety pennies did you find when searching though those quarter million pennies, and was it worth it from a financial aspect? I have a couple hundred pounds of unsearched copper pennies, and I’m wondering if I should take the time to search them.

    out of curiosity and the hundreds of thousands of Lincoln cents you have gone through by any chance do you think that one of those boxes may have contained a wheat cent you possibly missed

    Since I have so many copper and wheat cents, I keep them in my basement. Solid concrete slab. I don't have that many but I'm working on it. Rob is going to have a copper retirement in the future.

      Two rolls of pennies make for a heavy dollar.Are they really worth all the weight considering the government will never allow them to be melted and sold for profit, legally, at least in our lifetimes.Besides there is endless amounts of copper reserves here in (two feet from hell Arizona)😆🌞😆✌️

    Sure hope that is a slab floor, raised floors are not designed to handle such large amounts of weight in such a small area

    I Ty for sharing, my dad n I recycled precious metal for years(scrappers) . One day I gathered all our rejected pennies n hauled up to the place we have used for years o my to be informed legally Pennie’s can’t be scrapped

    You're ahead of me, 80% of mind is not rolled. I cash my zinc in lose bags; bank doesn't want it rolled. I have several shoe boxes of unreadable buffaloes.

    When the UK changed from copper coins people were taking them to scrapyards in France, it was illegal to sell them as scrap here in the UK.

    Switzerland where i live abolished 1 cent and 2 (1 Rappen und 2 Rappen in german) many years ago. The smallest is now 5 cents (5 Rappen) and the higest 5 swiss francs (5 Franken or Fünfliber).

    I have started saving every 1960-1982 pennies that I have found in rolls. Anything S mint-marked or 1959 and older go in my tubes!
