This is part 183 of the series (Boxes 349-350). It was nice finding a mint mistake during this penny hunt. Keep hunting and good luck! They're still out there for us to find! Nice blank planchet. Pretty fun find to pop up in your rolls. Enjoyed the hunt. Keep them coming. And hopefully the banks will keep the wheats coming as well. Have a good night Rob
As always, Rob, enjoy all of your hunts, regardless of the outcomes. As you say, you can't find 'em if you don't hunt 'em. On another note, being the quick-eyed owl that I am, I noticed your "mystery fluid" in your "stir-it-up-plastic-cup"--sorry that it wasn't your typical grape juice hi-potency cocktail. Just saying brother.
Heck yes I enjoy the coin hunts regardless of the finds what fun would it be just to be able to fill a coin book on your first two boxes….Boring! And the most important part of the videos is explaining all the real punch dates, the double dies, etc. eventually it gets drilled into my old brain and it helps me remember what to look for so thanks for sharing. See you on the next one.👍🏼👊🏼
Last week I picked up a few boxes of coinage. 2 sealed and 1 was a "customer wrapped box" of pennies. I took a quick glance and saw couple lte 60s, so I say it's not hunted for copper so I'll take it. Last night, late in my hunting I finally unbox it, every single roll had COP or COPPER ONLY written in the side of the paper roll. I only got a few rolls in and it's holding true, all copper. I think I just scored a full box of copper (probably only memorials but still might have some upgraders) at face, and didn't have to do any of the work 😂😂
I found a "zincy" blank too a while back. I think it will go bad pretty fast as there are places where the copper plate is stretched thin and the zinc is showing. Peace!
Blank planchet found that is always a good hunt here in Canada I have only ever found 2 blank planchets in all my years of collecting and both of mine were pennies although there copper
Hey Rob question I go thru many boxes of pennies I have a 1980 D penny the front looks fine But the rear of penny was Not stamped at all is this any good
I heard the mint gave out one blank to each person that took the tour. That would explain some of them getting back in circulation. I've found 4 of them so far.
I haven’t found much worth mentioning lately. That 1947S is a little lower mintage at 99 million. Hard to find one here in circulation here in the northeast.
Hopefully next hunt will give you something from the ‘30s or older. I am sifting through 5,000 wheats now and have found many mint-marked pre-‘40’s, including a 1932-D, and also found a 1936 DDO. BTW, nice blank planchet!
After all these years, I finally found a 1992 D Close AM cent. Will you be at the Grapevine Coin Show in Nov? I really don't collect varieties / mint errors, but I thought you might like to send it off to pcgs for one of your vids, if you like to purchase it after verifying it that is. I compared the photos from PCGS to the coin I found and they look identical. Hope to see you there!
I say start a new book after 400 boxes. You could keep adding to the OG book if you get a find, still the side finds book would almost be done then. You’ll figure out best!

Its a good day when you find a new penny hunt and fell episode.
This was a great penny hunt. Coin-grats on all the cool things you found!
Thank you!
That's a cool blank planchet! Great find
Great video congratulations on getting 4.2 lbs and a blank penny thanks for sharing Rob
Enjoyed the cent search. Congratulations on all your finds especially the blank planchet. Wishing you and Charlani a great week.

Awesome video Rob, always enjoy them my friend 👍
I really enjoy watching your penny hunt video.

Just purchased a 3rd year Jim Brown FB card. Graded 5.5
@@richardcornell7290 good score..... I'm getting mushed on my auctions tonight. I will not lose the oj football
Good luck mate
Good luck & best wishes on your endeavor!
@johnmurphy4323 hahaha was doing invoices and missed the oj football.... I guess it's better to make the money first anyway
I enjoy your videos. Keep the series going.
Thank you!
Fun show as always Rob
Nice hunt, Rob! That 1973 cent patina looked awesome. I love those patina cents as well🎉
Heck yeah! Penny hunts are my favorite!
Nice finds none the less. Looking forward to seeing the next hunt!
Love a good penny hunt and fill!
Nice find! Can't wait to score one of those myself.
There are blank planchets with rims (type 2) and blank planchets without raised rims (type 1).
Last week I picked up a few boxes of coinage. 2 sealed and 1 was a "customer wrapped box" of pennies. I took a quick glance and saw couple lte 60s, so I say it's not hunted for copper so I'll take it.

That's super cool bro I've never seen a blank planchet before
Love the penny hunts!
Fun hunt
I found a "zincy" blank too a while back. I think it will go bad pretty fast as there are places where the copper plate is stretched thin and the zinc is showing. Peace!
Had a customer spend a 1900 Indian Head Cent on Friday. Definitely kept it.
Good hunt video 👍. I've not found a zinc planchet💸
Love the penny hunts. What were the two rolls of bright shiny near the end upper right screen?
THANKS FOR A GREAT VIDEO
Blank planchet found that is always a good hunt here in Canada I have only ever found 2 blank planchets in all my years of collecting and both of mine were pennies although there copper
Good luck!🤞
Thank you brother!
Can you please elaborate on the “old shell casing” penny? Was that a thing? Difference in patina/weight?
I'd say it is probably recycled artillery shells from WW2, but I'm not certain.
42,44,45 if they have a dark streak it's a "shell-case" penny.Recycled casings that still had burnt gunpowder on them causes the dark marks
Hey Rob question I go thru many boxes of pennies I have a 1980 D penny the front looks fine But the rear of penny was Not stamped at all is this any good
Rob, what do you do with all your copper cents?
You get a ton more copper then I do. But I’ll always get some old wheats usually a few from 1909-1920 and one 30s one. Like clockwork
Good hunt, but wheat pennies are starting to get hard to find.
N S Shirlock
Fun hunt.
Just curious...what do you do with all the copper pennies? Do you sell them somewhere? Thanks!
Last penny box I hunted had 30 wheat cents in it, including a 1910 that I’d grade fine. Also 2 of them from 1930. Everything else was 1940-1957.
I heard the mint gave out one blank to each person that took the tour. That would explain some of them getting back in circulation. I've found 4 of them so far.
I’ve found 3 blank planchets and they’ve all been zinc still looking for that copper one
I haven’t found much worth mentioning lately. That 1947S is a little lower mintage at 99 million. Hard to find one here in circulation here in the northeast.

BTW, nice blank planchet!
1932-D is pretty rare
05:40 1969s ''Floating Roof'' ?
A lot of pennies!!

The one mint error I want to find CRH is a blank penny planchet but its so hard to get pennies in Canada.
👍Rob
I say start a new book after 400 boxes. You could keep adding to the OG book if you get a find, still the side finds book would almost be done then. You’ll figure out best!
I've only found one blank planchet.
Did u check the 55 for doubling😅😅😅😅
Good video
👍
Found a 1972 ddo, not the fs101
Hey Rob what's that blank planchet worth? I have one that is in nice condition
Redbook says $3
Si pudieras ver el que yo tengo del 1973😅 nuevecito😊😊😂
I Wonder If You Can Find Every Kennedy Half Dollar Coin Roll Hunting ?
I saw the thumbnail and thought it was the Infamous 1943 copper but not only that error, I thought it was a copper 1943-s

I was number two today 🏁
Thought I was first - but my internet is terrible and I see other comments.

Hi
HI!
@@RobFindsTreasure hi rft
Whoever put that blank in probably thought they were getting away with something. I’d take it 👍. ✌️
