Well done Rob! I was in Florida for Thanksgiving visiting my daughters and they save their change for me to sort through. Found a couple of wheaties and a handful of copper out of just a few dollars in cents. RFT!! My favorite!! 👍
Love you penny hunts. I go thru two boxes a week this year a couple months ago I found two of the 2023 ' s with the extra v and had them graded. They came out at a 64 & a 65 . And also found the capped die strike thru zinc with no date graded as AU. Keep up the hunts
Every Friday I pick up coins at one of my Chase Banks, the Tellers there Rock! They hold all the customer wrapped cents for me. Been getting alot of full rolls of wheat cents from people cashing in their collection. Can't wait till next Friday!
That capped die strike is very late stage. Early stage would show a full mirrored brockage of the reverse design. Yours has thinned enough to show almost full obverse details.

What Penny would a person use? Does it have to be an '09 or could another penny be used? How do you alter a penny to turn it into the vdb? Again, don't get us thrown in jail but maybe that and the Henning nickel deep dive vid? Include more that you know about or even have? That would be cool
I got a box of nickels from my main bank, i got a 34 and 35 buffalo (firsts for me, never found buffalos) 67 from the 40s, 6 from the 50s, i got a canadian, 5 1939s, not to mention not one, but TWO 1939S nickels all of this in ONE BOX

Getting $4 in face value in copper pennies per box means you get an $8 profit usually, since each copper cent is worth close to 3 cents
That 1927D sure is hard to find up here in the Northeast.

You will have to weigh the 82's as some are zinc. Copper pennies are heavier
82, though some 83 were struck on a copper planchet
