I put the new TBI 300’s in a category between a traditional two stroke and a fourstroke. They are ultra smooth with plenty of torque without being too aggressive or too narrow of a window of power. You still have to shift but not as much as a regular two stroke and you can carry a 3rd gear on the Moto track quite easily in most corners by going up one tooth in the rear. I honestly dont miss my 450 at all. That being said, I think for those that want to sit down and literally ride around a track or trail, thr 450 is going to require one gear (3rd) and they won’t have to shift. For most of us mortals we simply can’t use the power of a modern 4 stroke despite our egos lol. I can ride 18-20 minute motos now and do three of them back to back with 15 minutes in between. My riding time has gone up exponentially and I’m much more at ease on the 300 because when you get arm pump or tired it doesn’t wear you nearly as fast. Get a little lazy on fourstroke and things can get out of hand. I never feel that on the 300. In the woods there is no comparison, 300 all day long on all fronts. I don’t think you will regret the 300. Just make sure to actually ride it for more then 10 minutes to get a feel for it. I’ve seen a few peeps buy it and ride it two laps and blue peck it to be a fourstroke. It’s not, IMHO it’s better.
I just bought my own 2023 TX300 but I like the orange color myself so I’m going to switch over to the 300XC once it comes in. Performance wise true TX300 is amazing, I just prefer the orange color. I’m blown away at how good these are new TBI bikes are! I don’t think you can go wrong with either! I really like the layout, rider triangle and grip of the Husky, I hope the KTM is similar.
@@stangindude99 the 2T models aren’t lowered, at least not that I’m aware of. My buddy has a 22 FC450 and you can definitely feel the 10mm compared to my 22 KTM 450. This TX300 feels normal height.
Suspension is surprisingly good! Keep in mind I just came off a 2022 ktm 450 factory edition, that I had to revalve my shock and I put cone valves on to get it good. I have done nothing to this bikes suspension, all stock, and it’s honestly better than my last bike. I think it has something to do with the new air fork and this generation frame coupled with the two stroke feel. It just works better.
I can feel the extra bark by watching. I’m glad you said it was smooth, didn’t look better for woods.
What I like about it is unless you’re really on it it’s very linear power which makes it good for the woods. Low end grunt is phenomenal as well.
That was bought in Portsmouth nh wasn’t it lol!
I have a FX 450 I love. Debating on these new 300 bikes. Noticed you also came from a 450. Is the power on the 300 comparable to a 450 ?

Looks like a badass bike!!
I was blown away how good this bike was!
What's the premix ratio?
They recommend 60:1 I can’t bring myself to do that so I’ve been running 40:1 mixed 50/50 vp110 w/pump gas. No spooge and very crispy.
@@moto-x What oil for the premix? Thanks.
@@redball4093 I have been using the Motorex brand, though any high quality motorcycle racing 2 stroke oil will work well.
Hi i can use motorex cross power 2t oil mi Ing 40:1? In Manual i See 60:1 its Bretter 40:1?
I am between this and the ktm xc300
