Humminbird Apex & Solix Comparison With A Little Helix Too!

The 2023 show season was my first opportunity to get my hands on a Humminbird Apex unit. I was anxious to see the screen display as the ultra high resolution of the Apex, 1920 x 1080, is significantly better than top of the line Helix and Solix. The Apex certainly didn’t disappoint! Check out the 19” Apex in the video and learn about the new features and how it differs in comparison to the Solix. Similarities between the Solix and Apex will also be shared. Humminbird Helix users will also find some similarities and differences thrown in but the primary focus of the video is on Apex and Solix.

Why do you prefer the helix? Im trying to decide between the helix and solix.

More economical especially with multiple units! Touch screen isn’t critical to me.

When I use the buttons, my eyes are focused on them and I run into stumps. That's why I think touchscreen will be better for me. Lol

Steve your video s are superb. However I can’t read my new Solix G3 at speed above 6.5 mph, very frustrating using the XM 14 HW MSI T transducer. If you have any tips - suggestions I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ASSISTANCE ! I am a subscriber.

Hi James, that’s common, you might get better readings shifting your transducer but the best way to go is get a high speed transducer and y cable. For the Solix 3, XNT 14 HW T is the transducer, Y cable 14 M ID SIDB Y. If you’re running a bass boat, I highly recommend the optional metal bracket MHX XNT.

With a smaller screen it would look the same. They use more pixels because it's a bigger screen.
