    I just finished doing a pair of boots an hour ago. I'm not too happy with the way they came out. Not very smooth. First time using the product. I also purchased the gun as well. It's like mini caulking gun. It was very easy to use. I also had some high and low spots. I hope my next pair come out better. It does dry fairly quickly. You have a little bit of time but not much.

      Mine didn’t looks great when I did them either. But the first time they get dirty. It doesn’t matter. Glad you were able to get it done! Thanks for watching.

      Watch my update video on Tuff Toe V2. This stuff didn’t last very long.

    The trick to keep the finish smooth is to keep the tip under a bead of material and keep pushing that around and never lift it off the shell, working in a consistent side to side manner. Mine ended up nearly perfect.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Год назад

      I honestly didn’t care how it looked. I was disappointed with how long this stuff lasted. It peeled off my boots after 8 months. 👎🏼

      @@fondupot Yeah that sucks. Our carpenters use KG's but they don't get into the tough stuff like finishers and laborers. I prepped the hell out of my thoros before putting on the tuff toe. Let's see what happens.

    MANY , many, many thanks . I was feeling horrible about the lumpiness of my first application but now I see that it is normal. when people do not have the skill to do the nice and even coat that the professionals do. It IS obvious that it takes a lot of practice to make it look even. I am just happy the boots are protected.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  3 года назад +1

      And honestly after wearing the boots now. You can barely even tell. Since the boots are dirty. You’ll never look at how smooth an application is again. Thanks for watching !

    I just applied this to my husband's work boots (as a surprise when he gets home from a trip) and was curious about the step where you dulled the shininess with you finger. Thanks for showing that!

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  3 года назад +1

      They are Timberland. They safety toe, but it’s not steel. They are composite. I’ve bought this same set of boots for the last 5-6 years. I usually get 1.5-2 years out of them. There’s a link in the description to them on Amazon.
