I watched this review and others and still bought the M9 because of the low price, and I was planning to use it mostly for reading. I have been EXTREMELY pleased with its performance. It seems that most reviewers compare it to an iPad. That's like comparing a Volkswagen to a Mercedes. I believe the M9 punches above its weight even for causal viewing of videos.
The resolution lets it down in comparison to an iPad mini, and it’s a little heavier. I haven’t checked, but from looking at the video, the iPad looks thinner too, but that might be clever styling.

Same.. I bought it at cheaper price I just want to use it for watching and for reading.. Nothing else than that.. The item is running smoothly so I have no issue with it.. 😅😅

I bought a cover for the M9, but the screen doesn't automatically turn on/off when closing the cover. I realized that the M9 has the magnets closer to the center of the screen, and the cover ofcourse only at the edge, and that's why the tablet doesn register whe the cover is closed. My Lenovo P11 has the magnet "sensors" at the edge, where also the covers' are, and so that works fine. Is this maybe a defect on my M9, or do all have the sensors like that and I have to change the cover?
2 big cons: 1: low / minimal nowadays resolution even for 8''. 2: I couldn't stand wide longer side bezels / frames as I would always think I could hold something 1 cm narrower in one hand.
I like Lenovo; but this tablet will never see a software update, beyond release. Amazon supports its tablets for 5 years minimum. Sure, you won't see full OS updates with Amazon but 5 years of security and stability updates is great, especially considering price.
I love the navbar on lenovo, it look a bit like taskbar on desktop although it's not support desktop mode (some models have desktop mode as xiaoxin pad), the ui smooth like pure Android too. My Galaxy tab a7 10.4 now have something like taskbar on the side but I am not really interested
For good choice I recommend the doogee T20 10.4 inch, little pricy Lenovo M10 plus 3rd gen It has Antutu score 280000 8gb ram 256gb storage Can do SD slot 1tb Hi res 4 speakers

I have also an ipad Mini 5th and that is why I claim for a decent 8 or 9 inch android tablet, i don't like iOS and I don't like aspect ratio of iPads.

It's not a bad tablet by any means, but I did decide to upgrade from the M9 to a refurbished Galaxy Tab S6 Lite instead. I paid $140 for the M9, and only $190 for the S6 Lite but with the S6 Lite I got twice as much storage, an extra 1Gb of RAM, a slightly larger display, and an S Pen. The tablet is still just small enough where it can be held using 1 hand relatively comfortably. I'm not dissing the Lenovo by any means as it was a good tablet, but if you want something that has more value for the money and don't necessarily mind the extra inch or two, you're better off with the S6 Lite
It's certainly not suited for doodleing because it does not support an active pen :) Also while the hardware is still pretty good, the software is quite old now and it won't get any updates. So, unless you can get it very cheap, I would not buy it anymore

All Lenovo, not just budget - my boyfriend used to have a Lenovo Tab P11 he only used it to watch F1 and NBA online…and even so that too lagged through h3ll and back. It was so bad he returned the tablet after only a week.
