I don't play a single instrument, but you can't watch this channel without learning something and borrowing some of his joy. If we all loved what we did as much as he clearly does, it'd be a pretty amazing world
Oooh.. This reminds me of my old colleague Robert ("Robbie" )Wedel, who programmed the Moog for Giorgio over here in Munich in the late 70ies. Unfortunately he died end of the 90ies. When he told me (in the early 90ies) that he was one of Giorgios team mates, i really didn't know how great this experience must have been for him. This track is a masterpiece of music and surely one of the headstones for EDM . It's so lovely (as usual) that you breathe new life into this song !!!
La situazione qui in Italia non è affatto facile. Grazie per il tuo supporto e per i tuoi video entusiasmanti. Sto imparando un sacco di cose interessanti e grazie ai tuoi video trovo momenti di puro svago musicale. Grazie, Claudio.
👌 Indeed .... also the 🎵 sound at ⏳ 0:00, from the 🎹 MINI MOOG, is very similar 🦻 I still own the 12 inch of "Tainted Love", and the 7 inch of "I feel Love" ! LOVE is the Symbiosis .... 😍 of both Tracks 😉
Nice interpretation. Using DAW etc You have to admit that Georgio Moroder managed to get this perfect with basic electronics of the day though. Not only with Donna Summer, but with Sparks etc. I love you're so passionate about it. Modern technology allows so much freedom compared to the pioneers, but also requires a new generation to master. You manage it so well 👌👌👍

This song is an important part of the history of synthesizers and pop music. In its day it was revolutionary and pretty much paved the way for disco to became as big and popular as it did.
What is with the 13 dislikes? Thanks for showing how epicly layered this song really is. Such a classic and always an awesome mood lifting track to put on. Cant wait for part 2
So I just listened to this song in my car (one of my all time favorites and was WAY ahead of its time) and I thought, "I wonder if anyone has deconstructed it? Maybe I can leave a comment on Dr. Mix's channel and he can do it. Low and behold HE ALREADY HAS! Brilliant!
I know nothing about synthesisers but I LOVE the sounds. I'm a huge Gary Numan fan. I play piano very little and I'm way too old now. I'll just enjoy listening.
'I feel love' extended version is a killer.I'm a closet music selector and when i have a small gig,i always play this song, always! I still get goose bumps when i hear it. Great choice 'Doctor Mix'! Like button will get smashed!
Superb demonstration of attention to detail required though how Georgio achieved what he did in pre-computer days is truly staggering. Looking forward to part two - thanks for sharing this insight
That was very enjoyable Claudio. You bring back a lot of memories. You also have my favourite synthesisers, the mini moog and it also looks like you’ve got my old trusty drum 🥁machine the Roland down on the second shelf. Thank you 🙏 also for your kind words over the virus 🦠, may I take this opportunity to send a big blessing to your family and your fellow country Italy 🇮🇹. So sad about the problems italy 🇮🇹 is suffering right. I just love the country and the lovely people, it was a long time since I was last there. Thank you 🙏 so much for what your doing, keep up the great work. God bless yah and stay healthy and safe hugs 🤗 & 💋
I dont play an instrument other than figuring out tunes on my piano using only a few fingers, I love your reconstructions and your method of demonstrating. I think you will find a lot of your viewers are not musicians and I appreciate the explanations which I understand perfectly. Thank you.
I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the '50s The sounds of the '60s, of the '70s And then have a sound of the future And I said, "Wait a second, I know the synthesizer Why don't I use the synthesizer which is the sound of the future?" And I didn't have any idea what to do But I knew I needed a click so we put a click on the 24 track Which then was synced to the Moog Modular I knew that could be a sound of the future But I didn't realize how much the impact would be My name is Giovanni Giorgio But everybody calls me... Giorgio. *CUE MUSIC* p.s love your channel.
The first time I've heard this song, it was on the radio of the car of my parents (they were shopping), I was alone in the car and I decided to put the volume up ! The melody and the basses get through me, I remember I got chills !
This still is very interesting, especially the way to see and hear how they used binaural rhythms by panning hard Left and Right. Never would've known if you didn't do the left/right analysis and I've learned something, thanks!
hi Doctor Mix! hello during this strange period, to tell you how I love you! Thank you for your joy, your enthusiasm, your perfectionism, positively contagious, good virus that you have transmitted to me for several months ... even if I don't get it all, it's jubilant to watch you grind, peel and transmit your passion without a priori for the love of music and sound ... and then I learn English again, thanks to you, even this language seems more accessible to me. take care, e. from Paris
Dr Mix is the King! Our Italian brothers have had a tough time. We in the UK are just heading into the same situation. I’m having Chicken Cacciatore tonight and thinking about the tough times these great people have suffered.
In my ears and my ears alone, i think the HH2 (right) was just a little, little bit too short... I love these reconstructions, I wish i had all that gear. Stay real Dr. Mix!
I think there's something else going on with HH2 in the original. Apart from the white noise being higher pitched in the original there's something I can't put my finger on.
You are a genius Claudio Doctor Mix I love all your videos full of technical skills , musical preparation and Joy. A great yeahhh from Italy (Rome). see you in the next video. N 1 👍
This song almost never gets any love and certainly not the amount of credit that it's due for making EDM popular before that was even a thing to call it. I appreciate you covering this absolute Gem of a disco track and look forward to the next one on this
great Event to rebuild the masters himself of Giorgio Moroders "I feel love"...i really like italo..and great that you arerecreated that for us - thank YOU Doctor Mix! best regards, Frank
Grazie Doctor Mix!! Siamo tutti chiusi in casa, poche macchine che girano, solo per i servizi essenziali. Hoping this pandemic will pass soon. Someone, lucky as me, is working at home. Well, thank for your concerns! Your videos are stunning!! Thank you! A big virtual hug from Italy!
Grazie Claudio. E come sempre, lavoro impeccabile!!!
Grande Giorgio moroder sembra incredibile che una persone di ortisei abbia stravolto la musica anni 70 e 80, un abbraccio Claudi da Bergamo qui la situazione è ancora disastroso
Woow, one iconic song! First I was suscribed, now I’m a Doctor Mix fan! Regards from Mexico, I really enjoy your videos and most in these virus time. Blessings Claudio!!
Hello Claudio! What you are missing from the "sound" is reverb i think. Back in the 70s, reverb was the cheap way to take a so-so sound and make it better, so we added reverb to everything. Also, i think that GGM actually cut tapes to loops and used them to keep in sync, because his equipment would overheat and misbehave after a few hours in studio. Cut, as with scissors!
What a good reconstruction, i spent so many times for made a Moroder sound....but it´s not possible. In my own productions you can listen a little-little- bit from that. Nobody can top the 40 years old productions or make it better for a new dimension.
Since you're dealing with vintage electronica, something like a resonant hipass filter would probably get you closer to that hihat sound than an EQ does.
Hi Doctor! MUSIC HAS THE POWER! The power to make thoose moments easier for our poor italians. I am a pinkfloydian and I ask you to re-create ON THE RUN using a MICROBRUTE only.....ha ha. If in one of your hats you had a VCS3....... As Roger Waters said: "togheter we stand, divided we'll fall"

Could you please?
Every time I hear I Feel Love, I always think I'm listening to Metropolis, which is probably one of my favourite Kraftwerk tracks. Always wondered how they were getting that sound before the era of digital sampling/MIDI. I need to play around more with percussive synth sounds now! I'm in self-isolation (have been for two weeks already), but I have a head cold, and that has proven to be a real pain when it comes to mixing, which is what I'm trying to get done, and I can't hear anything properly because my head is stuffed up.
OMG, I love this, so much. I almost feel like I'm there helping with all this. I wish I could be. My reactions would be similar to the joy that we all see when Doctor Mix knows he's gotten something right. :)
