Yeah! I bought the Helsport Fonnfjell Pro 2 from you guys recently! Next up is the complete set up for the Helsport Varanger Camp 4-6!! Great videos Mike! You make the best, most informative videos on these type of products. Please keep making videos of such high quality. Fantastic.
Consider it done - more videos on the way!!! The Fonnfjell Pro is even better, more door options, good choice. We have a Varanger Camp pitched in the shop if you want to see it and there's a cup of tea waiting. Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated.
Very nice video and great tent (but too heavy for my purpose). I love that you use your feet to push in the pegs. All manufacturers say "don´t do it" but averybody does it and it works perfectly (at least with high quality pegs) :)
Cheers Tony, it's been great in the woods and for things like fishing or wildlife spotting. There are now Pro and Superlight versions with more door options. A good design from Helsport.
Hi I tall man 188 cm tent look perfect for me is enough long for sleep but how comfortable is a seat in this tent? is ono 90cm hight? Need also some information about wind protection. Some plans for Iceland, strong windy broke many tents and is necessary for cooking in the close tent - looking very spacious.
Hi Mike, have you a video on the Helsport Fjellheimen Superlight, not camp version. I have a Nordisk Telemark 2lw for backpacking just right for a solo. But I am looking for a 3 man ( for me and the Mrs) she like space. So narrowed it down to the Hellesport or Hilleberg Anjan 3. Any vids and happy to hear your views
Hi Kevin. Afraid we only have the Fjellheimen Superlight Camp on video, which is still my favourite for lightweight trekking. Hilleberg and Helsport are both excellent and similar in terms of quality and features. So with either of those, you will be getting a very good, reliable shelter that can pitch outer first. Some advice I would give is to give some thought to the Helsport Camp / Hilleberg GT versions, especially when there is two using the tent. That bigger porch doesn't carry too much of a weight penalty but really scores when the weather is bad and if you are trekking with 2 x Rucksacks, 2 x Boots, 2 x Soggy Waterproofs etc. Hope that helps, cheers.
Hi Kevin. The tent in the video is the 2 Man and is listed as 1.9kg including pegs. In the vid we camped up high in winter so I took the heavier poles (optional extra) so that would have added a bit. The superlight poles are fine for most camping. The 3 Man is listed as 200g heavier at 2.1kg and that gives you about 35cm wider through the tent, a 10 cm longer porch and 5mm extra headroom. The ventilation on the Fjellheimen is excellent, in addition to the Helsport Airflow II system (2 vents, one at rear and one at front of tent to create a draw through at top of tent) you can lift and clip the skirt at one end to create a wide mouth at ground level that lets a lot of air in. In terms of ventilation comparison to Hilleberg, it's been a while since I've used a Hilleberg so I couldn't reliably comment, but like I say the Helsport system works very well. We don't have a 3 Man but that tent in the vid is actually mine so if you want to see the 2 Man version just give me a little notice and I'll pitch it at the shop. No problem. Cheers.
Hey man, i don't know if you still using the tent, i wanna buy one of these and i see the yellow/bronze Front poles you have are not included. Can u say me what length i need?
Hi Martin. We use this tent in the woods or fishing and not for trekking i.e. when weight isn't so much of an issue. Since filming this video Helsport have released two additional versions the Fonnfjell Pro and Fonnfjell Superlight, these are more expensive but much lighter and also feature more doors so that the entire side, including corners, can be opened up. We've got those listed on our website - www.tamarackoutdoors.co.uk. Thanks for watching.

Additionally the Helsport looks to have a better ventilation system for condensation over the Hilleberg? what are your thoughts
