Here in North Dakota we fish 3 state MN,ND and SD. Minnesota DNR does a great job surveying each lake and telling us which species is present so that said I would start here first before heading out to any lake
@@dominatefishing9641 Took a limit on 12-26. Came home with 4 today with the help of my brother and his kids. Seen over 70 flags go up on the ice today. Seen 2 pike over 30" caught. Where I go the pike can get huge, 30" pike are common. I only eat pike in the 19 to 24 inch range, but the big pike are a blast to catch. Wish I could attach a photo here.
Yeah I hate those type channels I don’t want to watch others do well in there secret location but be taught what to use when and how to use the lure and best place. I’ve unsubscribed from those type of channels
Lake at home bottoms out around 17/18 foot. Drilled out both deep holes that bottom out 24ish feet... nothing drilled out literally every rock point stretching into deep water.... nothing, not even a single mark. I swear these fish are evil.
haha, what stare you fishing? are there a lot of weeds in the lake? are there cribs? they also could be cruzing the mudflats and then you have to work to find and stay on the schools. do you know there a lot of crappie in the lake?
@@dominatefishing9641 if the fish are crusing the expansive mud flat it's a lost cause. Over 90% of the lake is just a 17ft mud flat. Fishing manitoba, I'm just gonna change lakes. LOL or just cut my losses and go back to chasing greenbacks.
thanks, im not sure why... Ill have to talk to a web guy after the holidays, your not the first person who its doing that to... Im not sure why the link doesn't always work?

Is 55 feet too deep?
usually yes. i have caught them suspended over 45-50 feet but it is not normal for them to be that deep in natural lakes.
@@dominatefishing9641 thanks I live on a natural lake that is about 60 feet deep. Now I don't have to waste my time looking in half the lake
What about water temp..How does this affect crappie location? Will they be deeper to seek warmer water temps?
yes, when the lake is frozen the warmest water will be at the bottom. the fish will go deeper where there is warmer water and more oxygen.
Do certain species of fish dominate specific parts of a lake?
there is a lot of overlap but yes...
The link sends me to a survey... any way else I can get these steps? Thank you!!
Me too
Me 4
Man I want to fish with this guy
Is it the same for ponds
some, but shallower ponds will fish differently
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, people would pay money for this kind of education!
