Honestly this technology is scary. For staying on schools and finding fish on large flats, it's too easy. Imagine how empty the lakes would be if even ¼ of people had panoptics?
It is a very real concern, but they're thousands of dollars. However the technology exists and there's no changing that. Enjoy it while you can before it becomes mainstream. That's my plan :) Also we have the laws of conservation we must follow and common sense and ethics.
@@1treyton1 that would work If people followed those rules or if some of them weren't so lax. 99% of the time conservative regulations are put in place after it's too late.
I'd like to see panoptix and the like outlawed in wisconsin. It takes the fun away personally. I know you still need to catch them when you find them but its just not them same.
Great video as always guys !! I see guys will drill 2 holes near each other so you pick up your jig well and you don’t have to always take your transducer pole out. But I know one thing I’m getting one !!!
So, after buying $3000 worth of electronics I still have to drill holes and search? Wait, if I could afford $3k in electronics, I could afford to hire someone to do it all for me.
A combination of sizes 02 and 03 on this day. We downsize to a size 02 when they get more finicky. The 03 is ideal, though if they'll eat it, as you'll often have a good bycatch of walleye and pike.
I noticed you had the 6" lite flite. Is that big enough for the biggest crappies? Could a 15" fit through a 6" hole? I rather buy the 6" auger than the 8".
We link to it in the video description but the ice pack has been updated since the time this was filmed. Here's a link to their latest and greatest. We'd recommend the LiveScope Plus and Lithium-Ion options: www.garmin.com/en-US/p/799105/pn/010-02342-65
Haven't had any issues with battery life. They come with an oversized 12V which is a 12 amp-hour instead of a 9ah. Typically try to charge it after each use for a full day of fish finding during the next outing.
This piece of technology takes all the skill/luck out of fishing. Think how long it would take for him to find the crappies without the panoptics. Very bad in the wrong hands!
It definitely speeds the process of finding fish. We agree that conservation needs to be top-of-mind as technology like this starts becoming commonplace. State Fish & Game and Departments of Natural Resources will need to consider fish limits too in response to angler success rates. We're not there yet but it's coming and nothing will stop advancements in fish finder technology, especially with the role it plays in recruiting new/ young anglers into the sport.
We ardent supporters of catch and release on waters that are prone to overharvest. A 100-acre lake is a lot more susceptible to overharvest than say a giant reservoir. About the commercial, fair enough if that's how you view the content, but our intent is to teach.
This is my kind of Fishing video. 100% content, 0% ads. Keep it up!
This is the best video on Garmin livescope I have seen..very well done! I love my livescope!
Thanks Tombari Outdoors! Fun when it comes together with the cameras rolling.
One of the best Wired2Fish videos I’ve seen in a while... great fishing.
Appreciate it Andrew. It was an awesome bite!
Still the most underrated livescope crappie video
Well, we appreciate it Leroy. Kyle definitely overviewed the power of real-time sonar well in this video along with some unique details.

It might make it easier, but lakes have been fished out long before tech like this was out. Take Red Lake crappies for example.

Dragging around the Panoptix cuts down on the run and gun. Love Wired2fish.

Wow. those are giants! Great vid.
When he caught that first fish i was like😳
Dang that was crazy how big they were!
Yeah, some real slabs in this particular lake.
Find fish others are missing.... By using a fish finder 😂
Dam beautiful crappies! Where are you??🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍
Somewhere in the land of 10,000 lakes!
Phalen Lake St Paul, MN 😂
What are your settings on the panoptix gain and so on .
I’m not getting the refined bottom like I see on yours .
Great video and those crappie were tanks!!
This lake obviously has the genetics and produces big crappies, this must be a pretty special lake
Absolutely, lakes like this are special which is why we like putting 'em back!
What size jigging rap u using?

There were a few 15" class fish in this video and it is a tight fit but obviously doable.
Fit a 17 3/4 inch through 6 in hole... so you should be okay
Which garmin livescope is this? Would love a direct URL

Wow man thanks for posting
Great video love the livescope. Big slabs
Thanks Jerry. Scary good technology.
What’s your layout?
Great video bro❄️🎣🎣🎣👍🏻
What rod are you using in this video?
Thanks on advance!
tickle stick
Is that a 6" auger?
Once on the school a 2nd hole for sonar is nice.
Thank God they are a spendy unit or every Phil freezer would have one.
Love the Phil Freezer call 😂!
This was a great video 👍🏼
Thanks, Jimmy Kav!
This dood makes me look like a chump
@minndak cuz you are
Well done!
Big crappies I find are never out of the community hole... it ends up becoming the community hole...

@@Wired2Fish Good to know, I was expecting poor battery life given the size of the unit. Thanks for the reply!
Without technology wonder who can really fish?? Good job tho bet its got to be fun as hell!!
What kind of rod are you using?!
Mike Heizmann
That rod is a TUCR 32 inch BullWhip. Thanks for watching!
~Kyle
What rod is that? TUCR Bullwhip?
Fish 4 Life
It is indeed the Bullwhip. Thanks for the comment!
~Kyle
@@Wired2Fish excellent, what length?
@@fish4life226 I believe that particular rod was a 32 inch model.

What bait?
Fish dont have a chance
Awesome. Goliath Slabs.
Wow !
Those r dogs!

At 1:12 in the video it sounds like he sais Alluakbar
Huh, "a rock bar" came through clearly for us.

So video is how to use panoptix.... nice click bait... and a waste of time
