    I appreciate you taking the time on this video, very helpful! Try some CA glue with accelerator for that nose, dries instantly and avoids awkward rubberband action lol. They even make it in white.

    Nice out come I e done a few dozen. 27 mins to prep 30 mins to boil 15 minutes pressure washer done. If you do it before it’s frozen the skull comes out white no bleech needed. I’ve never had a nose piece come off. It’s comes off from to long of a boil.

    Does it have to be 40 volume? Is there any other things that would work?

    • @somewhereoutdoors
      @somewhereoutdoors  11 месяцев назад

      I’ve seen a few other things used but personally I’ve only used the 40 volume , as i know it works well and can get a few done with one bottle

      Aqua silk non chlorine pool chemical, regular peroxide 40volume, 50 volume,
      The only thing I don’t recommend is pure bleach it will etch it, make it flaky, and deteriorate the bone. Any of that will work, especially if you take it and put it in the sun or over a heat vent, but I boil mine
      Heat activates peroxide.
      Put in the peroxide, insert skull, add water to just over the skull, (I also have my antlers wrapped without tape the sticky gets on the antler I hate that, use Saran Wrap and zip ties. ) bring to a boil then shut off heat. Let set in hot mix for 30 mins, pull out and lay in the sun, or over heat vent.
      Or you can do like I do, pull it out rinse off, lay in sun or vent to dry. Then add a coat of mop n glow once dry to the whole thing antlers, skull and all.
