When Fuki changed her voice in the verses that was when she was portraying the princess that was locked in the Tower of Blood.

Great reaction, David! This is one of my favorite songs from Unlucky Morpheus, so I always make time to watch reactions to it. Having said that, you are on a very shortlist of reactors who have noticed or at least commented on Fuki changing her voice at spots in the verses. As Douglas S mentioned in his comment, Fuki sings different roles in this story-based song, and you pointed out her 'princess voice'. I'm glad they had you react to this version of Tower of the Blood, because this version showcases Jill more than older versions. I don't think I've ever seen her with an electric violin; I agree that she would look pretty cool with one.

Great reaction and good job with the scoring. FYI, guitarist on stage left, Shiren, co-founder with Fuki, developed a condition in his right arm (I believe it's Tendinitis) that prevents him from playing full concerts. He normally plays with a stand to hold the guitar. As the condition has gotten worst over the years he has re-written his solos for violin and lets Jill carry that load.

Somehow missed this when it first came out but another great reaction to probably my favorite Unlucky Morpheus song. IMO probably the perfect way to introduce someone who has no idea what Unlucky Morpheus is - the shocked looks when the intro ends and the actual song kicks in is always priceless. There used to be a couple versions up on you tube that had a lot more views but alas have al been taken down, never realized someone had the entire concert up there, great to know.
Jill's violin really does elevate the band and love how it interacts with the rest of the musicians.
There is the original song, which is a BGM of a very famous indie game. Unlucky Morpheus started their career doing arrangements of BGMs in this game series, so all of their earlier songs have originals. It is really interesting how they changed the songs.
Unlucky Morpheus is a gem in the musicscene. I mean.. doing this song live is skills!

Jill claims to have pitch perfect hearing. This is due to her 1st violin teacher not using sheet music to teach, but by using their ear. She also say's, if she want to, she can hear the different pitches of rain.
Fuki's voice changes, is because she is singing about 2 people and what they are doing, 1 male and 1 female.

Yeah love this song, they've been playing this song for many years since it's related to Touhou the game that they've been covering and are big fans of, for many years, with lots of great covers. Wasn't till recent years (around 2016-2017) that they started playing original songs, and they've been a band since 2008. Not their first band though, for example, Fuki's first official band was Light Bringer, which will one day make their debut here on the channel. Great catch on the vocal change too, people already filled you in the details regarding that👍

For me, whether it's Ankimo or Love Bites, the purpose is not to see all the members headbanging, but to listen to the music, so I don't think anything of it.

Apparently Jill did try electric violin at some point and didn't like it. She much prefers a mic'ed up real violin. And who can argue with her? She's one of the best violinists on the planet!

Their music is good, but when it comes to singing, its a Japanese style typical song...
David, you and many American metal lovers insist on animated stage performances but we Japanese fans don't care about it much. We care about the sound, the sound matters not mumbo-jumbo on the stage. I guess that is the reason rock and metal died out in the States. 'cause hip-hop is visually more fun than rock and metal even it is really not a music but a fun show.
