Terry Quinn, in most cases people are asked to declare any money above 5 grand. At that point that need proof from the bank/ banks that those money belong to them. I have been there and no problems. But lying or hiding the money from government agencies is not helping the little guy.
BE HONEST AND HAVE PROOF. It is simple as that.
Surprise, Surprise, does anyone actually believe they still live in a free country?
Clearly a big old scam.
Thank You...So many stupid Americans think they live in a free country. NO, you live in a country with Government Granted Privileges and a handful of protected rights that are CONSTANTLY under assault by government.

Absolutely disgusting. Downright theft. This is one of the many reasons why I don't carry much cash in person. Especially if I'm going through an airport. It's a shame that they can just take that cash, even if they know you aren't using it for a crime.
I truly do not understand how they can keep the money without charging AND convicting the person.
It's not just the airports they do it on the roads all day everyday

He should be able to sue them.
A win,win for victim and the Lawyer.
Because the courts love to DRAG out Your court cases until You're bled dry of Your money win or lose. I've had a court case (different from asset forfeiture, not crime) that I thought I would go to court a few times then it'd be over, I won My case but I was broke when it was over after nearly 2 years and My Lawyer was the happy one because I just kept paying naively.
This is why I don't trust courts. Judges, Lawyers & Prosecutors are all in cahoots with each other most of them are family & longtime friends who will pretend to be very competitive in court and after they will golf, drink at the bar and/or sun at the beach.
@JustAGuy InBensalem - They have a brotherhood called the *_BAR Association._*
I realized years ago when the courts know You got good money they will drag ass with adjournments Your court case, helping out their attorney brothers {& sisters} squeezing as much money out of You as they can.
Also, a lot of Judges/Lawyers are the biggest drunks and Blowcaine sniffers.
I knew drug dealers who told Me some of their best customers are Legal Eagles.
I once had a Judge sleep at the bench while My lawyer and the defense lawyer debated My case. I whispered to My lawyer the Judge is sleeping. He said to Me *_Don't worry about that._* !?!WTF!?! As if that's a normal thing.
The worst thing about *ALL* Judicial Judges everywhere in the USA is they have immunity from anyone trying to sue them for Legal Malpractice. I learned the hard way when I tried to sue the same sleeping Judge for his mistake. I told My lawyer I was suing the Judge he told Me You can't do that, figuring he was lying I went ahead attempting to file against the Judge, I got stonewalled, no other Attorneys would take My case. Later, I researched about *_Judges Immunity_* finding out for sure it can't be done.
16 years and only now you’re bringing this to our attention this is unacceptable they need to return that money and pay interest at 25% pay all legal fees this is clearly illegal activity by the TSA
An airport is like an automobile stealership. Why anyone would go anywhere near either one is unfathomable.
I,m with you James just a good guy this is America you should carry as much as you want to claim it ties into something is insane and they should pay him$ 450000.00 for being sepearated from his money
I thought you could travel with up to $10,000. Sounds like the TSA agent that tipped the AP cops off is getting a cut on anything above $10 grand.
Actually that’s with the IRS you have to report to the IRS if you have more than $9,999.99. They said in the video you can travel with any amount of money.
Exporting $10k or more needs to be declared but you can travel throughout the USA with any amount of cash.
Not absolutely sure , but i dont say things less id put money on it. N its all expenditures of 10,000 or more are reported to irs and must have paper trail. Also, international travelers cant carry more than $10,000 in paper currency. Apparently you can vacation with millions as long as no one knows.
In most countries (including the U.S.) if you are entering with more than $10K USD or its equivalent in foreign currency or monetary instruments you must DECLARE it to Customs. It is NOT illegal. In this case of a domestic flight, one is not legally required to declare any amount. no matter how much. When the law is not adhered to by Law enforcement then well....this happens!
There is no limit on cash. You can travel with any anount of cash. The $10,000 is the limit upper limit in the amount of cash you carry while flying that you don't need to declare for international travel.
They train their dogs to alert on cash. And the package of money only looks strange or suspicious to the TSA agent that is getting ready to steal it.
Cash always gets a positive alert by dogs due to its circulation in hands and pockets.
Exactly
@@robertgibson3655 money has it's own smell just for dog's to detect!!
The TSA didn't steal it, federal agents did.
you didnt watch the video, did you? they were tipped off by the TSA, the dog was used as a probable cause. later they can say "the dog alerted" and there isnt anything you can say to prove otherwise. I dont think you can train a dog to discern the smell of money any more than you can train them to detect dirty hands.
I can't believe that all they have to do is accuse someone! They need to sort this out. You have to prove your innocence? Since when?? DISGUSTING!
EVERYONE CALL CONGRESS TO CHANGE THIS PROCEDURE. share this video to congress people's channel messaging or facebook.
There is a study that says that because of the number of hands it has passed through, almost all U.S. currency has traces of drugs on it.
So this is how they make up their budget cut, stealing your $hi+.
They should have to prove why they’re taking someone’s money
We need a follow up on this investigation!!!! This is really good investigation thank you for the information 👍
It wasn’t a drug sniffing dog, it was a money sniffing dog
Sue them for 3 times the amount. The government is so corrupt. They all need to be tried for their thievery. That’s a felony.
It doesn't work that way. You won't get back all of what they took. EVER.
yes it's a crime , they should go to jail .and pay penalty.
government will decide if you get to sue them
That’s like grounding your parents
This is the type of investigative reporting we need!!!
What difference does it make why he's carrying that amount of money? It's not illegal to carry large amounts of cash. They've done this to many people.
The Supreme Court has already ruled that a hit on cash for drugs isnt a crime. As most cash is tainted with one drug or another.
Large amounts of money isn't illegal or suspicious...unless you come through our checkpoint staffed with barely trained staff. Then, its game on.
cashiers check. or carry a gun and fight it out. your choice.
They are not barely trained, they are in fact trained to steal the money.
We need to make DRASTIC changes with this country. And how quickly enforcement agents become criminals without conscience or regard for citizens rights. I would laugh to see these people have their lives stolen from them and they become homeless for their crimes.
It's not just on the borders any place in the country the police can sizie your money it's called civil forfeiture. Then it's up to you to prove it was legally earned which as it said in the video the courts are stacked against you
It is not training. They are literally brined by the government. They get a bonus for turning you in.
The government gang has legally been granted a license (by society) to carry out their gang activities. All other gangs have not and will not be issued licences and are therefore criminal organizations.

I withdrew a large sum of money from my own account which I eventually returned some time later. When I returned the very same money that I had withdrawn from my own account, the bank had to declare it for the purpose of satisfying government policy. If a citizen carries large amounts of his own cash, he is subject to government audit/seizure regardless of how the money was obtained. But, banks and other financial institutions transfer billions of dollars around the globe everyday.
That is messed up as hell
And nobody monitors them
Whoaa..
@@abelflores1593 huh? Wtf? Of course they are monitored. What the hell? Jfc they are very much monitored. I know a banker who got 1 year in fed prison for $7 million in fraud…..because they monitored what he was doing

People work and make more money now, they invented laws to rob any cash or possessions at will

They pull people over and do if all the time. They call it civil forfeiture. If you have, what they deem to be, a large amount of cash they'll take it. And it goes into their police fund, so then they have a bigger budget for falsifying overtime and spending the stolen money on equipment, lunches, parties, etc.
FEDs punish citizens for not keeping your money in their federal banks
They’re going against their own rules in their own law books and this should be brought to the courts

Be smart and wire your cash ahead of you to a bank you can withdraw it from upon arrival. NEVER carry cash on your person or in luggage. Pay in advance digitally where you plan to stay and eat. Lock your cards in a safe at home. NEVER take them with you. The one thing thieves hate the most is a person whom has nothing worth stealing or anything to steal.

I had $446 in cash taken from me during a FBI arrest in 1998. I had other problems in my life at the time and did not really give a crap about the money, had totally forgotten about it, then last month (August 2022) I get a letter from the Minneapolis FBI field office stating they had this money and that it was not subject to forfeiture and they wanted to return it to me, all I had to do was send them a address where I wanted it sent to. So I returned the form, the next week a agent calls me and confirms my identity and says they will be sending me a cashiers check for that amount.
