Out of dozens of cars and trucks, FPV racing and freestyle quads, and more airplanes than I care to admit.... *WPL D12* The D12 is dumb; based on a dumb kei truck, goes terribly, handles worse, and I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone. And I can't get enough of it! Brushless mods, suspensions mods, gearing mods, body kits, wheels and tires, 21700 li-ions, Pan/Tilt FPV camera, iNav flight controller, 32 Addressable LEDs. And all of it, even the parts I didn't use and a 6 channel radio, cheaper than most of the kits on the list.
Yeah and that's why I like the small cars You can buy a whole bunch of them and you still won't break the bank. Instead of having fun with just one RC car you can own a few of them and have fun with five or six of them compared to one. And in my opinion the small ones are more fun more durable cuz they're lighter just as fast all but. They're not heavy and don't break easy.
Back in the day i had the first nitro TC3 1/12 scale touring car, i never broke it for the years i had it, just had to replace the pull start 2x but it changed my life at 45+ mph single speed baby! Ive been hooked ever since

Sweet list! Mine would have to be: Hpi Wheely King, Original 2wd Arrma Mojave, Slash 4x4 Ultimate, Axial scx10, and the Traxxas Rustler Vxl. These are my favorites that I have owned over the years! Still own the Mojave and Scx10 both running strong after a decade of abuse!
Howdy, Ricky. I agree with everything on your list except the Team Corally Kronos. Getting parts is ridiculously difficult with long wait times. In addition, I've found that the XMaxxs' baby brother, the Maxx, is right up there with the MT10. Very tough, durable and ridiculous fun on 4S. I've not broken a thing on either truck, save for a blown tire on the Maxx after inadvertantly running thtough some broken glass. 😉
Do enjoy the Kronos but its such a shame parts are so hard to get hold of its very off-putting! Never tried a maxx as i have the xmaxx but may have to get one!
I 100% agree. Everything else on this list was perfect. Corally just makes it so extremely difficult to get parts when it breaks. Unlike Traxxas or ARRMA. Just takes the fun out of owning one tbh.
I feel that way too. I have a brushless Bezgar HM124 and it's been fantastic. I've had it over a year and have only broken it once. 2 days later, plentiful amazon parts arrived. 5 minute fix. Good as new. Got it originally for $170 but it's been well worth it. The cheap ones are nearing the quality of the main names in the game.
I have a corally punisher, which is basically a Kronos with a different body, slowly getting upgraded to xtr. Love it and like you on 4s it's very good and well made, 6s and poor driving skills causing breakages. Lol. I get 55mph on uneven grass on 4s, which is plenty fast enough, I've just invested in the infraction 3s, because finding places to run my 6s locally are limited. Tyres have yet to touch the ground.. tomorrow I will learn if I agree with you, rain permitting. I'd probably have a crawler in my top 5, mst cfxw jp1 or element knightrunner hard to call. And a senton, I do wonder how much more durable it would be if slowed down to under 40mph...
Great video and list! What street tires were those on your Typhon? The Hoons I have didn't handle all that well. Also totally agree with you on skate parks...just seems like a waste to destroy my cars!
Its always fun to put a list together of great rc cars. My list would be not in any particular order, 1 traxxas maxx. Have owned for 2 years and only broke it once. 2 erevo 2.0. Great car once all the reliability issues are fixed which can be done for cheap. 3 xmaxx. Just all around awesomeness. 4 Losi db pro. Pretty good all around car. For the last but not least, typhon 3 or 6s. Both great cars and can do just about anything. And for Honorable mentions....I like the big rock. Its super solid and underrated for reliability. (Never broke mine in two years) and the rival mt10 is pretty sweet as well. And finally, the traxxas udr. Scale realism at its finest.
Cool video, I'm you like the X-Maxx a lot i do too i had one and i plan to get another soon. If i could only keep 5 currently they would be my Traxxas Slash 4x4, my Traxxas XO-1, My Traxxas Sledge, My Team Associated B74.1 and my Traxxas Hoss. My ideal 5 would be, Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate, Traxxas XO-1, Traxxas X-Maxx, Team Associated B74.1 and finally Arrma Infraction 6S V2. What do you think?
Off topic. I crashed my MT10 very hard. And now it seems that the motor is broken. The inside of the motor were pieces of plastic in it en melted parts. Is this possible. It made a really hard frontal crash and that the motor got ruined by that? It stil works but really stiff?

They are. But for good reason. Availability. It's almost impossible to get parts compared to other brands. always out of stock. Great products though. Until you have to wait 2 months for a $20 part 😭
Very good video and choice of top 5 RC cars. My 2 go to rigs are the 6s Typhon and MT10 so I agree with you 😎 Just switch the XMaxx for a 6s EXB Kraton 😜
You've been into RCs for 20 years and not a single Tamiya vehicle on your list? Just a bunch of recent RTRs and not a single kit RC? Shame. My favourite RCs are in no certain order: 1. HPI Blitz 2. HPI Venture 3. Tamiya M03 Cooper 4. Gmade GS02 T/A Pro 5. Kyosho Optima buggy
Never been a Tamiya fan. Just a little too retro/vintage for my liking. They were great in the 80's/90's but seem to have been left behind by pretty much everything else. Tamiya are only really for reminiscing about the old days/collectors now and certainly not good every day bashing vehicles like the new stuff. Just my opinion...
@@beyondRC Tamiya is not left behind. They have always just done their own thing. I have a Tamiya TRF420X that has a full carbon fiber chassis. It's won me many championships. It's definitely not a retro RC. Also, The Tamiya XV-01 is one of the best rally chassis on the market. It's all good though. I've never been a fan of Traxxas or Arrma. I had a Traxxas Slash years ago but, I ended up selling it.
@SnarkyRC each to their own of course. But give me the modern stuff over the older stuff anyday. As long as we are having fun that's the main thing regardless of what we prefer 😎😎

The Team Associated TC3 is a 1/10 scale standard size touring car chassis. I raced one years ago and won many championships with it.

The Kronos is a looker and the 3s Infraction is so tough,add a little duct tape to the tires and you have cheap drifting for days.
Totally agree skate park bashing definitely is very hard on the trucks.

My stable consists of a Kaiju,RcMt10e , Vorteks and a granite all very fast fun and durable depending upon power and place of play.
