Hi Bill, same here. I love to follow Anthony's tutorials and the easiest way for me was to invest in a 2nd monitor. No way could i remember all the moves otherwise. And yes, a great tutorial.
Good idea with 2nd monitor, I have been using my iPad alongside my Mac as I don’t have space for another monitor. I don’t know how he fined all the things he does on LR and the other programs and still have time to sleep!
@@wmbrennan Hi Bill, Lightroom is amazing isn't it, And Anthony really is the man isn't he. I have actually been playing around with this technique this afternoon and its amazing. Going to need some practice but like you say, it's remembering it for the future!
Hi Anthony, ever since this intersect deal came out I have had a hard time getting my head around it...even after watching tutorials from others...now with your very understandable explanation I am really looking forward to using the new tool in my tool box. Thanks for helping me to comprehend this very useful feature.
When I first saw that photo you were using, I was prepared to be anything but "blown away"; it didn't seem like there was going to be much that could be done to enhance that particular photo. (No offense, Anthony; love your photography but you're right: that one just didn't have a lot of substance to it.) But after those tweaks, the difference was amazing and I can't wait to try out some of these techniques on some of the (multitude of) very bland shots that I've taken. (In my defense, I'm just an old many with a camera; most of my shots are boring.) Thanks for taking the time to invest your knowledge and expertise in the rest of us!
Thank you! Always interesting to see how others uses LR. I learned new from this video, i.e. how to work with intersecting masks. And also using Option key with the radial mask for new for me.
just amazing and I would have never known how to extend the radial mask upwards only. I'm going to save this one to watch over, gonna use it soon so I don't forget it.Thanks
Awesome effect! I'll have to try that. I know this video wasn't about cropping, how-ever, I would have gotten that 1/2 tree out of the picture by cropping in. I love your videos, I've learned so much from them.
💥 Damn was this great. Such a seemingly ordinary image that really gained such a great level of interest. And I gained 2 nice shortcut tips too like holding the shift key while using the linear gradient. Bye bye floppy gradient. Thanks greatly 🤟🏼
Thanks Anthony, Your the only LR teacher I watch. Is a sample image for download possible? I imagine cost is the main obstacle, I'd pay for a course like that. I'll have to photograph two friends and try this LR tutorial. Thanks again, Mike in So CA.

Thanks for all of your informative tutorials. I feel this video provides one of the best examples of the “art” of developing or post processings a photo. It’s one thing to have knowledge about the tools that LR offers but “seeing” how and when to use them is an entirely different thing. Would love it if you could offer further insight regarding how we can learn the art of developing our photos. Can it be learned or is having such instinctive talent part of what separates great photographers from the rest of us?
Hello Nancy, you make a great point. I have the cameras, the lenses, the computer and software, and whilst i love my hobby dearly, i admit to lacking artistic flair. It just doesn't come naturally to me and often get frustrated. I have twin 15 year olds, my daughter from a young age has the most wonderful handwriting, she draws and paints the most beautiful pictures, and yet has had no formal training. And she finds maths easy. My son however, can't even draw a matchstick man and just cannot grasp hand writing. I think some people, be they artists, musicians, writers, sportsmen/women etc, just have it, and they had it in them from birth. That's what i think anyways!
I'd lik to try that on one or two of my wedding photographs of just the bride and groom. I took a similar shot of them that isn't nuthin to brag about. Adding some atmosphere to it would possible make it something to brag about. Lol! (How'd you get your mask overlay color to be so bright? I couldn't adjust mine to be any brighter red. Your's looks much brighter, I'm on a 2021 M1 iMac.)
I don't think you've ever mentioned the alt/opt key when expanding a radial gradient. If I missed it, the fact that you mentioned it again is why I watch your videos. Like the proverbial 2x4, you keep pounding good stuff until my light bulb finally comes on. Seriously, if you're ever in the Little Rock area (and why should you?) I'll buy you a steak dinner out of shear gratitude.
You do a great job of translating what people want to do with their photos, into the tools in your programs. I’ve been teaching Adobe programs for 5 years but just starting out on RUclips. I’d love to hear your feedback on my channel!
I love the videos you do Anthony - but to be honest, this wasn't one of my favorites. I still clicked the "like" - but way too much dehaze for my tastes. Just my own personal preference.
When I watch your videos, I feel like I used to feel as a kid watching Mr Dressup drawing. In total awe!
Every time I feel like I'm getting the hang of LR editing, you bring out stuff like this. Awesome and thank you
My thoughts exactly! Lightroom, and of course Anthony's skills never ceases to amaze me. Definitely awesome.
From "It's OK" to WOW in the hands of a master photo editor of impeccable artistic taste.
Terrific. Enjoy learning how to combine tools to add new effects. Thanks!
What a difference! I love what you did with this photo. Thank you for the great tips.
This was amazing. I had no idea all this could be done in LR. Thanks for sharing these tips with us.
WOW you never cease to amaze me with your videos!
I love how your effect give your photograph a painterly effect! -joe
Always learn something new watching you. Thank you
That was great Anthony!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
Kudos, Anthony...well done and presented!
I learn so many nifty tricks from you and your channel. Thank you!

Cool way of giving atmosphere to an image. I will need to test it out ;-)
Cheers from LA.
I wish I knew this option/alt trick on the radial filter a long time ago ! Thanks ! Not crazy about the look, but you worked with the light you had.
Very nice tutorial Anthony. Thank you.

Great video full of simple (hiddden) tips Thank you
That’s just amazing.
I like it. As you say, not for everyone or every image but I think you made an okay photo much more interesting. Thanks
Totally agree!
gr8 tips . thanks
Is there a way you can wrap some of the atmosphere onto the subject so it looks like they are part of the image? Or would that be a photoshop step?
