Mark I keep on coming back to this tutorial..... I still need to do a lot of practicing on this especially with my coloring...... Am struggling a lot and at the moment am using "ants ' to experiment on.

Again Mark thankyou. This tutorial is going to take a lot of practice..... As I am not going into the park at the moment I have been trying out a lot of your tutorials on my butterflies.... which sounds really silly but it does work.........I do think I must look for an animal to practice this one.......

    Hi Mark,
Another great video tutorial, thanks for sharing. I have a question; at 5.28 you started adjusting the background colours using HSL sliders, however I didn't think the HSL panel was available within a mask? If you were adjusting the HSL globally it didn't appear to affect the colour grades of the dog> Can you let me know .
    Cheers, Pete

Hi Pete, thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching! At 5:28 I exit the masks and go to the HSL panel. You are right, HSL isn’t available on a mask. If you look closely, the sliders I am changing are mainly affecting the background, but in a small way, also affecting the subject. I do wish we had HSL on a mask. Hope that clears it up. Please reply if it’s not clear. Always happy to assist with any questions.

Why do I see things in some of these LRC videos that I don't have in my LRC? When he was adjusting the color of the shadows, he clicked a little eyeball icon to hide the changes for that "section". I don't have those little eyeball icons. Another video uploaded within the last year shows someone creating a mask, but the mask had more than the usual tonal adjustments, it seemed to also have HSL and color curve sliders.... maybe my Lightroom isn't up to date 🤔

Thanks for the comment. Are you using an older version of Lightroom? If you’re using Lightroom Classic CC then give it an update and you’ll see all of the new features.

@@MarkDumbleton Thank you. I am using classic.... I figured it was just because I didn't have the newest version.
