They have no cards in hand, and 6 creatures to attack with into your 4 blockers (so you take 6 damage). If you keep the raffine sentry alive and they don't top deck a removal spell you have lethal with the bird.
Ossification seems much better than circle of confinement for this deck. Otherwise, I like the list. I made a similar list but more all out aggro with the affinity for artifacts inspired charge.
I think that the budget version of this deck that doesn't run the rare utility lands like mishra's or eganjo probably only wants 21 lands. Replacing the two cut plains with either Combat courier's or Iron apprentices would probably be worth while. Or you could even cut more lands and play dune movers, not that dune movers is especially powerful on it's own. Edit: Actually, I just noticed you're not playing the full playset of Frontliners; running the full playset if probably better than my other recomendations.
Cool idea, maybe too many lands. I would try this deck putting the other sword on side against blue/black and decking a bit more of Instant/sorcery interaction. In non-budget brew Surge surely can be sided too I guess

I actually have a version of an invasion of alara deck that I think may be tier and it looked a lot like the opponent in game 2 was playing it. Makes me kinda sad that they're not.
To improve your control matchups, use combat thresher over circuit mender. Draws on etb instead of death and double strike with Michikos and skrev are game winning. In addition, plated onslaught is a control blowout potentially but it’s inconsistent

You're missing that Adeline makes an additional 3/3 attacker. Adeline and Loran also have vigilance. Sentrys dying return the creatures so they can also block.
When I tried the mono green list it felt too slow against aggro and couldn't deal with threats well. Suggestions on stuff to try in it? I don't want the playset of tribute I bought to go to waste
Azusa's Many Journeys nets you 3 life which helps vs aggro, and if you play it on 2, and Tribute on 3, it'll flip on 4 and draw you a card immediately off Tribute. Topiary Stomper is also really helpful (it draws off Tribute, but it's a rare so), it can get you a one-of Swamp out of your deck so you can use Tear Asunder with Kicker to deal with threats that green has an otherwise-difficult time with. They both also ramp you and let you cast bombs like Nissa easier.
Would Spectrum Sentinel be worth running in the 75? A 1/2 for 1 that has protection from gold and gives you 1 life whenever you opponent plays a non-basic seems pretty reasonable to me...
Oh no! You are spoiling the secret about the Gobakhan-turn-two-Seraph-turn-three curve! I've been crushing Arena Mythic with Jeskai midrange. Seraph is the most underrated card in our current Standard, it actually doesn't die to most removals.
The curve in this deck is low enough to run 20 lands rather than 23. I feel 23 is a little too high for this curve. You have a ton of one drops, and if you are truly worry about not seeing lands, then 22 would be the highest I would choose here.
Honestly I don't know if I would suggest building this deck since a majority of decks are just white or black based midrange running as much removal as humanly possible. I haven't had any aggro deck work in standard for the past two weeks.
It absolutely is true on Arena that if you keep low land hands, you don't draw lands, and if you keep high land hands, you draw nothing but lands. I have played MTG for 20 years and the rate that it happens at on Arena has never happened to me in those 20 years on paper.
Seems useless to attack with the 1/1 at 36.37, they trade and get the 1 life back you got to pump the lookout and now you're down 1 artifact for the saga next turn
For real, a lot of folks laugh whenever somebody mentions that arena isn't completely random and think you're being paranoid. I've played so much of arena, and even more than that tabletop. Arena is at best psuedo-random or at worst not random in the slightest and just uses a algorithm for your next cards.
I don't think the land theory is out of place, don't we already know that they have things in place to "smooth out" draws? Any time you start meddling with that it can open up a bunch of unintended, or intended, consequences.
So while I believe magic's explanation for why. It's known fact the shuffler is rigged. Relevant here there was a study that showed that a quirk of the shuffler was that if you kept less then three lands you would be less likely to draw a land and if you kept more than three lands you would be more likely to draw lands. So yes keeping 5 lands is a very bad idea in an aggro deck.
Too many basic lands... With that many lands, I truly feel at least 1 of them should be a cycler so you flood less. Even one copy of The Fair Basilica as budget common would go a long way. Also, for all intents and purposes, you are playing a Pauper manabase and curve inside standard, which as we all know Pauper land counts rarely exceed 22 lands even on control. The reason standard plays more than 22 lands on aggro is because of eganjo and other utility lands. I think 22 lands is the absolute ceiling for a deck like this. 😅
If you lose to blue/black control it doesn't matter what other games you won - you lost the only game that mattered. You need to take the confidence that all their removal gave them when they put it in their deck and invalidate it, so the dead cards in their hand do nothing and fill them with fear and anxiety. All that matters is the control player suffers, loses and gives up on the idea of shutting others out of playing and enjoying the game just to win the slowest and most boring game they can. Go, forget this deck exists. Build a deck that specifically shuts down the Sheoldred player so bad they start crying and ripping the keys out of their keyboard. MAKE THEM SUFFER SETH.
No, its not. It even was studied some years ago. The ELI5 was that keeping 2 or less lands in the opening hand gives you a lower probabiliy to draw lands than expected, and 4 or more gives you a higher probability to draw lands than expected. Something in the Opening Hand and smoothing algorithm not working properly.
Honestly for Budget Players, just cut all the copies of Gobakhan and add literally anything else. Seth lost almost every single game he drew it and the one game he did win with it was against some janky brew. In a world of Sunfall and Farewell it just doesn't do enough. I think its just a terrible card unless you are playing a non-black combo deck and need some kind of Thoughtseize.

On a related note to urabrasks forge, the mono R oil list is pretty funny and paper cheap.

I've swapped out Lion Sash for the Hotshot Mechanics in your non-budget version since there's no vehicles. Seems like a fun list otherwise.

Been playing this deck without the sword for a while now. Reliquary roadside or whatever is nice too. The ability to draw 1-2 is really clutch

worth noting you're also not running card draw to need a lot of mana late game, the sword is the only real card advantage
